The neighborhood has been in need of a cheerful place where you can sip your coffee and just sit and unwind. The coffee is great as is the ravioli and the selection of cheeses. You have to try their sandwiches. My favorite is the Speck and Brie. Yum. There is a wide assortment of pastas and the Italian sodas are not sugary sweet as most which is healthier.

Finally! A beautiful quaint place for locals to dine in! The food is fantastic! Their sandwiches is a must! They sell delicious Italian cookies along with perfectly made espressos. The owners are so nice, you can ask them for some traveling tips through Italy as you enjoy your cup of coffee!

Welcome addition to the neighborhood! Excellent coffee/cappuccino and pastries — try their nutella bombolini. Also a plus — they have a nice seating area where you can relax. Lots of authentic italian groceries too — just had their mushroom raviolis and a few of their italian sodas at home… mmm I hope this place does well as we need some more options other than the starbucks and dunkin.

What a lovely little place! Neat, well lit, cozy. The Italian man and woman who served me were adorable and friendly. My capuccino was fabulous! Nice sitting area with lots of outlets for charging. Woud definitely come back!

This place is adorable. The owners are SO friendly and it is so nice to finally see some Italian products in the neighborhood again. With this place and Tuscan Hills also in the area, it seems there might be an Italian renaissance in Forest Hills? ;-) I special ordered a drink today that was my mom’s favorite from Italy that we can’t find anywhere. She recently passed away, and it will be so nice to taste it again in her honor. The owners were very accommodating and made me feel extremely welcome. I can’t wait to go back and try their cappuccino and cornetto. Grazie, Cipollina! :)

Although I initially had a frustrating customer service experience, another of Cipollina’s owners reached out to me to resolve the issue. She was incredibly kind and demonstrated a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. We had a lovely conversation. I am happy to say that the issue was successfully resolved, and I encourage everyone to give Cipollina a try. It is a small store, but they have a really nice selection of gourmet products, including organic and gluten-free variations(I was happy to see at least three different brands of gourmet gluten-free pasta), as well as some prepared items, coffee and other beverages, and pastries. The soup that I tasted was very good and flavorful, and my husband enjoyed his panini sandwich. We are looking forward to returning sometime to sample the pastries. :-)

I only tried an espresso which was made properly. Other than that I really enjoyed the service and décor! The barista knows what she’s doing at the espresso bar! Very good!

Wonderful new addition to the Forest Hills area, owned and operated by a lovely family from Italy who have been in the restaurant business for many years. Nice selection of imported Italian goods, including 00 flour which is often hard to find. Good selection of meats and cheeses. Excellent coffee, pastries, soup and paninis. Extensive selection of chilled desserts. Pleasant seating area with WiFi. This shop is almost too nice for the block. A gem. Kinda hoping it doesn’t get too crowded, so I can enjoy my coffee and pastry in peace. ;)

Stopped by this charming Italian specialty goods shop on my way to class in the city(points for being so close to the E/F train!). Walked around the store and was impressed by their large assortment of imported items from Italy, which gives this shop a unique appeal. They also carried items from Mario Batali and Il Mulino to name a few. I also adore the family that runs this business as they greet you with the most wonderful smile upon entering the door. And by speaking with them for just a few minutes, you can feel the passion and love that they have for the items they are selling. They also provided me with some great home-made recipes I hope to try in the near future! Being a huge coffee/espresso/latte lady, I must say that their Mocha Latte was absolutely delectable! This drink can be enjoyed sitting in the café section, where folks can study, read the newspaper or catch up with some friends over pastries and warm beverages.

This place is delicious. The owners are so accommodating to special requests and clearly do a great job. The inside of the store is stylish and not overwhelming. They have a great style and stick to it. I love the amazing and authentic lattes. It’s so hard to find a real latte in the States.

My neighbor told me about this new place, I walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly staff. I got a vanilla latte and continued to browse around. I originally came to get some desserts for me and my wife because I had heard they were great but I ended up buying a few more things while I was here. They had a great selection of items. I got ¼ pound of prosciutto(delicious) a piece of parmigiano and some Italian sodas. As far as the dessert goes, I got us 2 tiramisu cups and that’s all she wrote. Will definitely be back for more. Everything was really great.

My fiancé and I went to check this place out today. The location map on Unilocal is incorrect; the shop is actually located down by 77th Ave, right by Union Turnpike. If you input the address directly in Google maps or even Google, it should direct you to the correct place. This is a great little shop with lots of Italian goods on display. There is a nice variety of stuff you can get to bring home: different types of salt, olive oil, sauces, herbs, pasta, whole and ground coffee, snacks, and most of all dessert! They also serve baked goods, paninis, hot and cold beverages, cheese, and dry sausages and salami by the counter. When you walk into the store, there is a sectioned off area to the right with café tables and seating. We only saw 4 café tables and window bar seating, so this is more of a place for individuals and small groups to hang out in. We ended up trying their desserts which can be found in fridge at the back of the store. I got the Coppa Yogurt & Berries(frozen yogurt & strawberry sauce topped with redcurrants and blueberries) while my fiancé got the Coppa Caffe(frozen cream with coffee sauce topped with chocolate coffee beans). The Coppa Yogurt & Berries was delicious. The strawberry sauce on the bottom was a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but other than that, it was great. The Coppa Caffe was phenomenal. The coffee was definitely there and my fiancé just devoured the thing. The best part: the two are held in tall solid glasses which you can keep when you’re done with the dessert! During our time there, they also let us taste their Italian Hot Chocolate. That was one good glass of hot chocolate. It’s smooth and rich; they recommended that it’s better to get the small size if one was to order the hot chocolate due to how rich it is. And most of all, their service was fantastic. It’s a family-run store and we got to see the owner and her parents. The owner interacted with everyone who was in the store and was really helpful when it came to questions and describing their products. We definitely plan to visit again!

I came across this store as I was walking down Queens Blvd. I was attracted to this place because of clean look through the large window. It is a cute place run by husband and wife. I ordered a cappuccino and a «cornetti»(basically a filled croissant). The cornetti blew me away, it was amazing! I will definitely come back for more. The cappuccino took me back to my vacation in Italy! It was nice to have a good cup of cappuccino! They had many things to try! Wish I had more time but I will definitely be back with my book!!! Hope to be blown away again!

I thought I knew my way around a Ciabatta until I sliced into this gorgeous new Italian gourmet shop in Queens and realized… I barely scratched the crust. Situated two blocks North of Union Tpke station, this store’s awning has yet to surface, however the community(like me) has responded: Viva l’Italia! Shopping here has become a fun departure from the drudgery of Stopping… to. Shop. As the commercial landscape of NYC continues to «Crayola 8» itself into conglomerate big-box stores and chain super-humungo-markets, I am drawn in by the handsome, young entrepreneurial couple at Cipollina interested in preserving local businesses with international flavor. Oh, and the appeal of freshly baked spongy focaccia dipped in truffle oil, espresso drinks galore, and oregano still on its stalk?! invites as well! Gourmet shops can sometimes be daunting for the casual shopper, but the prices are very reasonable for what you’re getting. My suggestion is to come in for a cup of cappuccino, grab a bag of biscotti, sit and contemplate life in their café area until hunger strikes. At that point, you will just commision them to create a eclectic gift basket you will take home and turn your Ronzoni n’ Ragu into a Bucatini alla arrabiata. Cin Cin!
