I’m addicted to the Guadalupe burger currently. Can hardly talk about it, bc is so good. Veggie burgers can be sad, but theirs are plump, perfect texture and really flavorful. Plus any burger joint that offers roasted Brussel sprouts as a side will forever be in my heart. Interesting menu, creative and fun. And I know it might be daft to talk about vegetarian options in a burger place, but they’re so unique and delicious, it’s a must. My husband loves the proper meat options(which range from traditional to unique). Meat is perfectly worked and cooked. And the staff is fantastic! I’ve placed a few take out orders there in person and have waited near the counter for them. It’s a busy place, and it is a real pleasure to watch the kids work. They seem to enjoy what they’re doing and get along like a good crew should. Anyone who’s hating on millennials should go watch these kids hustle. They’ve earned my Gen-X respect and loyalty. Go, have fun!

With the amount of burger places available in the city, I’ve begun having pretty high expectations when I check out a new burger joint. This was my first experience at a Bareburger after passing by it many times and let me just start by saying — wow! I was absolutely shocked at the many options available, different types of meat(elk, bison, ostrich?!), toppings, sides, it took me a while just to figure out what I wanted. I decided to try the el matador which had guac, pico de gallo, basically a taco in a burger made with bison meat. Again — WOW! I’ve never had a bison burger before, and this was just amazing. The only thing I did not really like about this experience was how small our table(for 2 people) was and how close we were to the table next to us. But to their defense, the hostess did ask if it was okay and I hesitantly said it was so that’s my fault. Overall, definitely worth trying and be prepared to experience some new types of meat!

I really, really liked this place! This is something I can see in LA, but its nice to see this is a home bred New York chain. They have many different options of meats, from traditional burgers to bison, boar and elk, just to name a few. The ability to customize your burger or choose from pre-made burgers is great and lets you have a lot of control or just rely on their suggestions. The Mrs and I got the Grindhouse which is a elk based meat. It was quite messy but very flavorful. We also got the onion rings and sweet potato shareable which was great for me and my party of four and a half. We all really liked the sauces that came with the shares, and we debated stealing some for the road. They also have craft sodas which are super delicious and I really enjoyed the blueberry soda. Would definitely come back and try some of the other stuff they have here. I’m really happy to see Forest Hills transforming. I used to come here when I was a kid to watch movies with my family, but with spots like this, its really making this community a great place to eat and hang out in Queens.

Bare burger is a surprisingly great chain! BB is an organic build-a-burger chain restaurant and bar located on Austin Street, across the street from the newly opened Shake Shack. This location is fairly large with a small dining room in front and a larger seating area to the right. Even though there are a good amount of seats, the wait for a Friday night averages around 40 – 50 minutes. We ordered the Fire Quaker(duck, pickled jalapeño, sesame brioche bun), the Supreme Burger(beef, bacon, fried onion rings), Jalapeño poppers(jalapeño stuffed with pimento cheese), and roasted brussel sprouts. I loved the Fire Quaker! Juicy medium cooked duck meat with the sour slightly spicy jalapenos was perfect! K tasted my burger, looked at my burger and said, «that’s definitely a better burger than mine.» I agree! The Supreme burger had sweet juicy beef and perfectly fried onion rings. Their brussel sprouts were perfectly roasted and sweet-savory with salty flakes of manchego cheese. Soo good! The Jalapeño poppers were a meal on their own! The long jalapeño was deveined and stuffed with cheese, then breaded and baked. So crispy, cheesy and savory! The service was excellent! I was offered hot water refill for my digestif tea and we were well looked after. When we packed the meal to go, we were given a little brown bag with utensils, napkins and their house-made sunny-sweet ketchup. Even their ketchup is good!

Pretty good burgers here. I tried the country fair burger while my boyfriend created his own burger. It was good, no complaints. I liked the fries a lot, it was super yummy! Definitely worth trying if you haven’t been to Bare Burger before.

Wierd photo paintings, but funny! Their menu is super organic and the vibe of the restaurant is so hipster. They have this water jug with WATER in it! How cool!(I thought it was wine for a sec) I was seated next to two women who were having a conversation the whole time and I couldnt help but eavesdrop, but I kept my mouth shut. Okay back to the review. I had the Socal Bare Burger and that ish was tastyyy! I only had this cause it had avocado with it and that i was trynna keep my diet on the low. It was a pretty decent price knowing that it was ORGANIC.

Food: The toppings make the burger here. I find the veggie patty to be very bland so I usually get a combo of toppings I love to balance it out. Also, the patty is quite mushy but this doesn’t bother me much. The sweet fries and onion rings are TASTY. On every occasion my regular fries were pretty dry though. Don’t forget to grab some dipping sauces! YUMMY! Service: I’ve never had to wait more than 2 minutes to be seated but I can’t say the same about being acknowledged by a server. The last time I went I waited 15 minutes for a server and then another 40 minutes for my food. I don’t mind waiting(especially when the restaurant is clearly a little busy) but I don’t expect for a server to walk past my table more than 10 times and not check-in, give an update, or… something. I digress. The plus side is I’ve never had rude service here. That’s saying a lot for what I’ve encountered in NYC lately. Tip: Try the frozen slush drinks(can’t remember the names). They are to DIE for.

I decided to give this spot a try after hearing from co workers about how good it is. First off, it is a sit down place. I tried the burger and fries. It was nothing special. The meat itself is grass fed and organic but I just wasn’t satisfied with the patty. It was really bland in my opinion. The fries weren’t crispy either. It is also more on the pricey side. I won’t be coming back here.

So I’ve lived in the area for a year now and I only just went to Bareburger last week, and I am mad mad mad because I missed out for so long! So incredibly pleased to find that not only is their meat & produce sustainable & organic, but the health-conscious menu at Bareburger also offers an array of dishes and drinks aside from burgers and shakes. Guilt-free gluttony. I liked it so much I went again the next day. First I had The Matador bison burger. It was perfectly spicy and didn’t have me feeling like a tub of lard afterwards. The burger itself isn’t that large, and I probably would have left a little hungry if I wasn’t sharing a side of Rings and Sweet Fries with my bf. Speaking of rings and fries, ask to see the list of sauces they offer! I found the table ketchup to be too sweet so I mixed it with the curry ginger ketchup(which was a lil overpowering on its own). Moving along. The next night I went back for the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich, which was more filling than the burger. I actually couldn’t finish it. The meat is chicken thigh but the waiter gave me a heads up and offered to switch it to the chicken breast tenders for me. Sooo good. As a starter I wanted to try something under the«Crops» section and got the Wheat Berry Chickpeas dish, a crunchy little alternative to a chickpea salad. And OK I HAD A MILKSHAKETOO. Get off my back.(Speaking of said milkshake, it was decadent and definitely shareable. I do believe this is my first time using the word«decadent».) Craving to go back as I type this.

I’ve been to Bareburger many times through out the city and I have to say, this is my favorite location. Compared to other Bareburgers, the staff at this location have gone out there way to make my order more pleasing like adding some bread with my salad(old menu used to come with bread) or mixing up fries with half sweet, half regular when I’m hangry, indecisive AF and honestly want BOTH. They do that for you because they care. After spending 4 hours at the gym yesterday I came back to Queens, walked over to Bareburger on a packed beautiful Sunday afternoon and sat by the bar. I ordered sweet fries, grilled chicken burger with chickpea onions, red onions, avocado, green leaf and habanero mayo on a sprouted bun. Then I washed it all down with a cold beer. I’ve never tried any of the hard stuff but I’m pretty sure that this was the closest experience to drugs. I FELTAMAZIN.

We came here for an early dinner(6pm ish) on a Friday night, mostly because the place we were going to originally, 5Burro, had a one hour wait. really? I’ve never been to 5Burro but that’s way too long for me. Which is why we went here. First of all I have to say that all the staff we interacted with were super nice. The hostess, our waiter… the busboy. Everyone was really nice. It was noticeable so I figure I should bring it up. It was 3 adults and one 2 year old, so I knew that maybe we would be a bit annoying but the staff never brought it up. Food wise, everything was great. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was REALLY good. A lot of flavor. My lady and my friend we were with both got the Cubano, which is made over at Bareburger out of brisket… so it’s heavy duty. It’s a lot of sandwich, so bring your eating pants for that one, but it’s really good. We ordered a large portion of sweet potato fries, which comes with their version of ranch and their«special sauce.» Both were fantastic on the fries. We also got a couple of adult beverages. Me and my lady got their version of the Manhattan, and my friend got the margarita. Our Manhattans were really good, a bit on the sweet side, but good. The margarita I was told was also solid(and frozen) so that was nice, even though it wasn’t very warm on Friday, it still helped after a long day at the office so to speak. Now that I know how good this place is, I can find a MUCH closer place to my job to eat at!

Amazing! The best everything in the world! I had the«El Matador» burger and it was so freaking amazing that I still can’t get over it. The onion rings were really good as well. I had ordered my favorite drink of all time; Margarita, BUT it was so sweet. I’m not a fan of sweet drinks so I was barely able to drink it. Until I couldn’t take it no more and asked the friendly server if I would be able to change my drink to a Vanilla Milkshake that was just as bomb as my Burger. I will definitely be back. It was amazing!

I am always a fan of Bareburger. It doesn’t matter if you are a carnivore or a vegetation you can always find something you will love. I keep coming back for three things: Lion’s Head beer(no one serves this in NY!), the Berry Blue salad, and the Southern Cavier burger. They once had these loaded cheese fries on the menu, but they were not available the last time I went(sad face). They should bring those back! This location in particular is always very clean, friendly, and the service can be quick.

I visited this location on Austin Street and had usually gone to the Bayside location on Bell Blvd. I assumed the food would be the same as the other location. Boy was I wrong. First off the staff were all friendly, courteous, and attentive. My issue was my food. I ordered a brunch item that was Fried Chicken over French Toast with pecans. Sounds delicious doesn’t it? Ugh. The breading on the chicken was so overly fried parts of it were almost black in color. It was also heavily peppered. Which I also do not like. The worst part was the chicken. I thought this was supposed to be good healthy organic meat? My chicken was inedible. It was so fatty, there were some veins(gag) and it was really chewy. Two bites and I was so nauseated I couldn’t finish my meal. Maybe it was my mistake for assuming it was would all white breast meat? And not some cheap nasty chicken thigh or tenderloin over whatever that was that was on my plate. Such a shame. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth with this place. I don’t think I will ever return to any of them.

I’ve ordered once for pick-up, and I have finally been able to dine in and try the burgers in person. I can’t recall which burgers we had tried when we ordered for pick-up. I remember my husband and I thought the burgers were pretty good but couldn’t quite tell what all the rave was about. Surprisingly the Founder’s Bastard was the cheapest beer($ 6 for 12 oz). Everything else was a bit over-priced. I ordered the Elk blue while the husband ordered the Elk Grinder, double patty(it’s his thing to order double patty). We also ordered a side of onion rings and sweet fries. Based on what our waiter said, we expected the side to be very small, but it was just the right amount. They don’t give you many onion rings(4) but they give a good amount of fries. Our burgers were cooked to the temperatures we had asked. We both agreed the Elk blue was the better of the two burgers. While it was good, I wouldn’t say it was the best we have had but worth a visit.

Great service and amazing food, what more can you ask for? Me and boyfriend built our own burger with mushrooms, onion, tomatoes, lettuce and jalapeños. It was delicious! Juicy and full of flavor. We also had the onion rings they serve and they were to die for! Definitely will be coming back here soon!

I would have to say this place is pretty good. Totally out of my comfort zone. The staff knows the menu inside and out which is what I love! They’re able to describe how big portions are and how many you should order. I got the Bison burger, and my guest received the elk(sorry vegetarians this is not for you). It’s all organic meat, and you can taste it– also it’s so good and you don’t feel like a hundred pounds of grease is hanging out in your stomach later. I simply loved this place, parking sucks but that comes with the Austin Street territory. Go give it a try– step out of that comfort zone!

So I don’t often eat at chain restaurants, but my sister dragged me by bus to Forest Hills and Bareburger is where she wanted to go so we went. If I had to eat at a chain burger joint this would be it. I had a duck burger with onion rings and a bareburger brew. I thought the beer was overpriced on the menu until I realized it was a 20 oz. pour. It’s a pretty good value for what you get.

Met a friend here, her choice, said they had great and different burgers. When I first walked in, I immediately loved the vibe and overall décor. I was pleasantly surprised, we split fries and onion rings. I ordered a Moscow Mule, it was perfect, even came with a sugared piece of ginger! My «build your own burger» turned out perfect, bursting with flavor. Their patty and sauce options are vast. It’s a pretty neat little place. I will definitely be back, with friends!
