I decided to try this place out for lunch today. Based on the photos and reviews, I assumed it was worth a shot. Walking in there was a scent. Not quite fish and definitely not cleaner. This was slightly off-putting because I couldn’t identify it. Anyway, while dated, the décor is suitable for a sushi restaurant. I found the staff very attentive and gracious through our visit. Now on to the Food! To start, we ordered smoked salmon and a Dynamite Roll. No complaints. The fish tasted fresh and that Dynamite Roll was superb. We would have liked to see more sashimi options but Chopstix didn’t allow. We opted from the lunch menu which had a lot to choose from. I went with the Shrimp Scallop with Garlic Sauce w/white rice, Chicken & Corn, and a Shrimp Roll. My dish was good for the most part. A lot of veggies but that’s to be expected. The Chicken & Corn Soup was a new one for me. It’s like an «egg drop soup» as my waiter put it. It’s different… Not bad though. I DID take notice of the unnatural yellow coloring. Neither one of us cared for the Shrimp Rolls. I had to search to find two shrimp at the bottom. LOL. My husband decided on Hunan Beef w/vegetable fried rice, Hot and Sour soup, and a Shrimp Roll. He really liked his meal. Not so much the Hot and Sour Soup. If I ever order out, I have to remember to ask for their homemade hot mustard. It’s so spicy, but good.

Used to be my favorite place for Chinese food, but it’s definitely gone down hill. I’m not sure if they are cutting corners or what but the food just isn’t as good as it used to be. Crabmeat wontons were the best around but now they just taste like cream cheese. The last time I ordered carryout there was soy sauce spilled all over the inside of the bag and the food, and they gave me one fortune cookie with $ 70 worth of food. The sushi is decent for Bel Air but doesn’t compare to the good stuff you can find in Towson or Baltimore. I wish they would introduce some new rolls to get me excited about this place again.

The sushi is uninventive and low quality. Very few true raw rolls on the menu. I have tried going back here 3 times, several months apart and keep walking out disappointed. I will be sticking to the hole-in-the-wall sushi joint just a block away from now on.

The food is good and my wife and I love the atmosphere. The one issue we had were being attacked by flies while we were trying to eat in the restaurant.

We used takeout for a quick family meal and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food, but NOT the quantity. The moo shu pork was delicious with crisp vegetables and tender pork. We ordered basil chicken(a little bleh, but with crisp veggies) and the stir fried vegetables with brown garlic sauce. That was a real winner! On the downside, the takeout portions were very skimpy, unlike most other Asian restaurants in the area. We were disappointed that the rice boxes were so light that we wondered if they were empty.

I am not joking when I say that this place is literally my life force. If I go too long without Chopstix sushi, I swear I begin to tweak. Best sushi I’ve ever had, haven’t tried much of their other entrees but according to my boyfriend who’s a picky eater their fried rice is delicious. Also, every time the wait staff has been incredible. Always seated immediately, servers are very knowledgeable of the menu, and the environment is perfect for a date or going out with friends. I highly recommend, this is my go-to not only sushi restaurant, but just restaurant in general.

We’ve stopped here twice, once for takeout and once for a quick dinner before an evening training class. As many have noted, the atmosphere is really nice, with lots of interesting décor, and everything is super clean. The service is friendly and prompt, and the menu is long. The sushi, though, is definitely underwhelming. I wasn’t a big fan of the sauces that seem to be on everything, finding them really greasy. When we ordered rolls that weren’t of the sauced and Americanized variety, they were tiny and the fish was bland, so that wasn’t a great alternative to the greasy ones. The miso soup was a lovely balanced mix, however.

Decent food. Nothing out of the ordinary. I would try it again. The garlic chicken I had with vegetables and rice was decent. Nice portion of chicken. The egg roll was so-so.

Our favorite restaurant in the Belair area. We eat hear 3+ times a month. They aren’t cheap, but the food is fresh and consistent. I love sushi and they have a great selection and will customize anything to your taste. Weekends after 5:30 means a wait but rarely more than 20−25mins. My wife prefers the traditional menu and always has plenty. I also like seeing a regular staff and chefs behind the bar and at the tables. Consistently is important to me.

This is the place to go for Sushi in the Bel Air/Fallston/Forest Hill area. Everything is super fresh and the rolls are large. The staff is friendly and helpful. I enjoy the Maryland Sea King roll and the Special Tempura Roll. The prices are a tad higher than its competitors, but that is to be expected and is worth it due to the larger rolls. Their chinese food is average, go there for the sushi and you will be happy.

one of the better sushi places in Harford county. I think it is a little expensive, but the service is excellent and everything I have ever had has been great. Big fan of the pearl river roll.

Terrible service, subpar food … We usually order food because you get quite a bit for your money. I have ordered fried rice from there before without eggs in it but today they refused to make it with no eggs. So needless so say, a place where over 50 employees frequented will be losing our business. It is say that they would lose business because they refused to cater to a food allergy.

I have only been to a few sushi places, but I can easily say this has topped them all! The Bay Roll won my heart over at first bite, the atmosphere is really pretty, and the people are very kind!

Chopstix has great shrimp Pad Thai and great general Tso’s chicken. So I will definitely keep going back! It’s not in a prime location as its in a small plaza hidden behind trees. It’s a clean environment and it’s nicely decorated with a zen water fountain with a huge Buddha. There’s regular table seating, booth seating and sushi bar seating. The waiters and waitresses don’t all speak great English so you may think they’re ignoring you when they’re not so don’t take offense. Overall a great find on Bel Air, will definitely keep coming back.

How far are we going to have to drive to eat sushi in Fallston or Bel Air? Not far at all :-) Chopstix has the best interior and feels like a clean Asian restaurant. The ambiance also comes with attentive service and tasty food. I’ve been to many other sushi restaurants in the state and this one is up there on the charts when it comes to flavor, detail to the art of rolling sushi and freshness. The menu features many other Asian dishes and I have been pleasantly surprised. I remember thinking the crispy beef had more crispy batter than beef but the flavors were great.

Big city glam in suburban MD. If you’re seeking atmosphere, you got it; gorgeous layout, prompt and perfect service, excellent cocktails. Sadly, the sushi was underwhelming. Call me a snob, but when I order a Fancy Dragon Salmon Baby Unicorn Roll — at market price for Baby Unicorns, no less — I expect to be wowed. Not lousy, just… not wow. Lovely place, though.
