Stumbled in here one evening after the farmer’s market, so glad we did! The prices are awesome, servings are HUGE, and staff is super friendly. They lose a star for décor/atmosphere(it’s freezing in the winter and half the building is dark/shut down), and wait times are pretty long. We’ve learned to call ahead though, so not an issue. While I’m generally pretty consistent on tacos al pastor, the carnitas plate here won me over. Huge chunks of smokey pork, beans, rice, avocado, yum! served with corn tortillas. It easily provides two meals. The husband usually gets the steak chimichanga which is as big as a baby, haha. He can eat a whole pizza at once(not a good thing…) but can’t finish it in one sitting. This is our go to place when we get a craving for Mexican. Note: Who knew FG had so many tasty, authentic restaurants?

Great authentic Mexican food for an even greater price! Yumm I highly recommend the enchiladas! Don’t forget to try their homemade salsa! AMAZING

My husband and I stopped by here and had a great meal. The portions are really generous. We ordered chilaquiles and huaraches and both were very good. The chilaquiles red sauce was perfect and I would come back for that alone. Family friendly and family owned. Great spot in FG downtown.

The steak tacos are wonderful and the chips(as in «chips & salsa») are made to order, served hot and delicious. The young family that runs the restaurant is very sweet and they provide excellent customer service! It’s quite affordable, too! Tacos are just $ 1.25 each.

Ordered the Chimichanga(chicken). Was $ 9 and some change. It arrived hot and plentiful. When I say«plentiful» I mean 90% rice, beans, and tortilla. 10% was chicken. And when I say«chicken» I mean something cut up into tiny bits that was gray matter. Yes, I did partake. Only because I was hungry. Would I order it again… hell no.

Went on a Sunday afternoon for a quick meal, which turned out to be something else. I ordered carne asada tacos, my wife ordered a cheese quesadilla. Perhaps half a dozen customers, two cooks visible on duty. It was fairly close to 40 minutes to get this simple order which would have been no more than ten minutes in any other place. When they finally arrived, the tacos were OK but no better than that, smaller and plainer than the excellent ones you get at Ochoa’s in Hillsboro. As we were on our way to the theater, it was a tense experience, and one I will never repeat.

Good service, fast, big portions and bang for your buck. Bad cheesy décor even for a taqueria and no cerveza ;(

This is arguably the best Mexican place to eat in town. The portions are generous, and the food is top notch. They have recently hired more help, which has cut the wait time down. If you are looking for a good local taqueria, this is the place to go.

Finally! A place in the Grove that serves decent breakfast burritos! I’ve been waiting for a place like this for years to come to Forest Grove and it’s finally here!!! Soooo happy!

Tried this place for the first time today. Arrived at noon and we were the only customers in the place. First impressions: the place was clean, neat and well lit. The menu posted on the wall was extensive, and the prices were reasonable. After ordering at the counter we sat in a booth and waited a little over 10 minutes for our food to arrive. The burrito I ordered was large and piping hot, my wife’s nachos were generous and attractively plated. Now for the important part — taste. My burrito was bland. Too heavy on the beans, and the pork was not a major player in this burrito. A generous amount of the house salsa helped make the burrito go down. My wife had a similar reaction to her nachos. Looked good, but was a bit lacking in flavor — more house salsa! This restaurant is ten times better than the old establishment that occupied the same location, but the food we had today was just average. Because of the friendly, prompt service, and the generous portions I am inclined to try eating here again.

This location has been a Mexican restaurant in other incarnations, which I have not been to, but I was surprisingly wowed today at the latest, Taqueria Corona. A friend of mine loves their burritos, so on their recommendation I came in. It was empty except for one diner during Saturday lunch, which didn’t set my hopes high, but this place clearly is a hidden gem in Forest Grove. I have tried the other Mexican places in town and this place is by far the best. After ordering my Burrito Corona with steak at the counter, my food arrived to my table in 5 – 10 minutes. It was a huge burrito enchilada hybrid with a side of sliced avocado and sour cream. It was so huge, I barely made a dent in it, but it’ll make great leftovers. Really tasty and affordable dishes. Excited to come back and explore the rest of the menu.
