This is THEBEST little coffee shop I’ve found! I’m supper picky with coffee and have been disappointed with Portland area coffee. Hands down GREAT coffee! And Amazing Gluten-free muffins!!! To top it off he service is amazing too!

A find! This is an old-fashioned neighborhood coffee shop where locals come to hang out and do what they do – knit, grade papers, talk. Coffee is superb. Small but excellent selection of bagels, muffins, and other goodies. Take that, Starbucks!

I love this place! I’m really spoiled with all the coffee shops in Portland and can honestly say that if Coffee House in the Grove magically flew downtown, I’d be there more than any other place. Not kidding. Here’s why: It’s bright with natural sunlight, has a perfectly low-key and friendly atmosphere, a variety of comfortable seating options, the coffee is really good and served in a variety of mugs which is fun, and they have a great selection of delicious food including pies! Somehow the place manages to maintain an atmosphere where it’s possible to concentrate on work while a steady flow of community members come in for coffee and a delicious bite to eat. This amazing balance is really hard to find and can only be due to the special care and love that Mike and Julie bring to every aspect of their business. They are AMAZING and will make you feel at home every day!

Coffee House In the Grove is a family run café that I discovered about a month ago. The owner knows my usual drink and him and his wife are beyond wonderful people that make getting coffee in the morning a treat in itself! Not only are their lattes the best I’ve ever had, their baked goods are out of this world! I would highly recommend this coffee house over others because of the quality of the drinks and how they are constantly perfecting their recipes and trying new things!

We went a few months ago, they had pies on the counter and we had a slice. Both of us got very sick from whatever was bad in the pie later that day. The coffee was okay at best but nothing as good as BJ’s coffee in town.

This is the best coffee shop in Forest Grove. Julie makes the best pies, muffins, and soup. Mike is the coffee master. Their sandwiches are great. They are very welcoming and friendly. The lattes are superb. The cherry pie is my favorite.

Great atmosphere and great coffee! Ordered an Americano and it was plenty strong. Lots of places add too much water or do just a single shot for a medium or large, but this was perfect, and the coffee tasted great. Thanks!

This place is a great place for all ages! Coffee, Tea, hot cocoa… excellent breakfast pies along with many of your favorite fruit pies; Julie’s crust is incredible! If you haven’t visited you have to check this place out. Mike and Julie are very nice and know what they are doing!

Julie’s chicken, turkey and beef pies are AWESOME!!! Her crust is to die for, just like Grandma use to make, light and flakey!!! Very friendly and clean.

This is my by far my favorite coffee shop since I’ve moved to oregon. The owners Mike and Julie are great! Always so friendly and welcoming – Mike especially has a great sense of humor. The atmosphere they create is very warm and relaxed. On to the coffee– There is a wide variety of drinks to order. Usually I just ask Mike to make me something of his choice, and I am never disappointed. Ranging from white chocolate lavender mochas to nutella and peanut butter lattes, I’m always in for a treat. All the food and pastries are made in house daily, as fresh as it gets. After 1pm there is homemade pies; I have yet to try them but they look delicious. As a bonus, I think their prices are significantly lower than other chain coffee shops(perhaps that’s because it’s placed in a town with broke college kids). It should be noted that they are not open on sundays and close by 4:30 pm, so its definitely a day-time shop. Also, there is only one barista(mike) so expect a bit of a wait if there are multiple people in line waiting for drinks.

Very good, piping hot Caravan coffee. They offer hemp and soy milk as well. The bagel with lox takes a little long to come out of the kitchen but is actually quite good. The tomatoes were very fresh. Nice little local business.

This was a very cute place to drop in for breakfast. The food was yummy and filling and the service was so nice. My friend and I mentioned we were out of town and we were met with welcoming service and nice recommendations for things to do. Would definitely go back!

Our small town is lucky to have such a wonderful little coffee house. I really, truly think this is the best coffee house between here and Portland. The coffee is great, the owners are lovely, but the pastries are the real reason why I go in as often as I can. From pies to scones to muffins(including gluten free muffins that you’d NEVER know were gluten free), everything they make is fantastic and made from scratch, right there in the kitchen.

I love the owner’s zest for life. His enthusiasm was infectious. Haven’t had their baked goods yet but I ordered a large latte and it was 1) excellent and 2) cheaper than comparable sized lattes from anywhere else. I couldn’t stay and hang out on my first visit(had other appointments) but I was told by a friend that if you stay and hang out, you’d have an opportunity to enjoy a nice conversation with the owner if he’s not too busy(that is if you want to). The last few times I tried to stop in, they were closed because they ran out of stuff but when I went back(and they were open), I was not disappointed. This will be my new coffee spot when in FG. Give this new business a try — you won’t be disappointed. When the university opens in the Fall, I’m betting this will be filled with a younger crowd. UPDATE on 7÷10÷15: They hired a cheerful young man who added more nice energy to the environment. The owner has seen me enough times to remember what kind of a latte I like(hemp, low on the foam) and then after finding myself a table, he brought to me a frequent use card without me asking for it(buy 10 coffees and get one free). I could get used to this!

My partner and I stopped in this morning for coffee and pie and were so happy with what we found! The coffee they carry was smooth and delicious, and the strawberry-rhubarb pie was heavenly. We couldn’t ask for better service(the couple which runs the little shop were attentive and friendly, passionate about what they do) and the cute atmosphere was amazing. Will definitely be coming back!

Very nice addition to the downtown area. Expanded hours should work well for the commuting crowd, Pacific University students and the local crowd. Serving tasty Caravan coffee. Homemade baked goods changes daily. Everything we have had so far was well made, tasty and priced fairly. Look for more good things from the owners.
