First time at this restaurant. Great Service. Food had lots of flavor. Reasonable prices. Full Wine Selection. Everything Homemade. Family Owned. I would highly Recommend this place.

This restaurant is the best homemade Italian restaurant we have ever eaten at. All of their food is excellent and affordable. Planning to have my mom’s 90 the birthday here. All food and desserts are homemade. Tarimsu is to die for!!!

Sorry to say I didn’t like this place. My wife baby and I went there and we ordered meat ball sandwich which was not good, pizza that my kid wouldn’t even eat because it was not good and feduccini Alfredo which wasn’t to bad. 3 different people took our order and it still took almost 1 hour to get our food. There was a guy that seemed to be the boss that was constantly yelling at the staff and coursing in front of little children that were just 2 feet away from him. I have been to lots of authentic Italian food place before but I didn’t like this one. Just to be fair I haven’t been to a good authentic place in the IE yet. I was really surprised that the place had so many good reviews and it was so bad. Maybe all those people don’t know what good Italian food taste like

I found a large fly in my meatball. I told the older lady(chef) she was very apologetic. She said that was the 1st time she experienced a fly in her food since they have opened the restaurant. Her son made a comment out loud«We’re sorry about that», then said to me as I stood quite«I would rather have a fly in my food than hair». With that being said, I would never come back here again. Bad food, bad service!

Had no idea that this place existed. looked for Italian cuisine and this place popped up. Best kept secret in North Fontana!!! I called ahead and they(Alice promptly and so sweetly greeted me and offered to have a booth ready for a friend and myself. Upon entering we immediately were welcomed and felt at home. the staff(Bridget and Alice) seated us and had the delicious homemade cheese bread and marinara at our table in under 5 minutes. our wine glasses stayed filled and our plates were full. the portions are ginormous but Amazing! Everything was fabulous and we most definitely will be bringing our fellas in next time! We made new friends and had a great dinner! I had the calm chowder for my salad/soup option. and I had the chicken pesto with sundried tomatoes. .HEAVENLY! My friend had the tortellini with meat sauce and salad, so Yummmmmy. FYI. it’s on East street which runs parallel to the 15, off Baseline. behind the bounce and Skatepark. They are also expanding so please don’t wait, get in and enjoy!!! The owner was so very pleasant and very inviting! Very safe and clean! Not fancy or stuffy but a fantastic place for a quiet dinner and great conversation.

I wish I could’ve took pictures but I could not wait to eat it haha. This place has a very cozy Italian traditional feel and the food is absolute delish. I must say best Italian place I have ever been to, the man with the slick back hair was really nice and made me feel like he’s part of the older style generation way of doing things, hard to explain but he really inspires me to stay true to my roots. This place has huge portions and actually uses wine in their sauce. I’m impressed and will be coming back over and over again.

My husband and I wanted to try something new, checked Unilocal and spotted this treasure. The staff were super personable and attentive. Small, family owned authentic Italian Restaurant. We arrived about 8:30 on a Friday night and it was packed till closing. From another regular we were told it full every night. The food was good, not great but good, and with the great service and atmosphere we will most definitely be going back on a regular basis. The owner/manager Dino was a hoot!

Sadly, we were so disappointed by everything we opted not to take the leftovers home. The staff was really polite and accommodating but the flavor was just NOTTHERE. Being Italian, I love sauce and I love bread. The sauce had no flavor, both the marinara and meat sauce. I ordered the most basic Italian dish, Chicken Parmesan, and while the chicken was decent the flavor was lacking. Everyone in our party taste tested from each other hoping that at least one dish would save the place but it just didn’t happen. Should have known when we got the free bread and my daughter commented on how Little Caesars tasted better ;0(

We had ordered a few items to get a taste of the place. We got spaghetti and meatballs, penne pasta in a beef bolognese sauce, lasagna, and ravioli. Also some garlic bread. It is a decent family run restaurant. The sauce seems to have been made in house I think it could have used a bit more seasoning. The pasta itself was a little overcooked but that could have been due to the order being togo and covered for at least 10 minutes could have caused it to cook still while we arrive home. The meatballs were very bad. They were mealy or grainy and had a very unappetizing flavor. Maybe not enough fat content or could have been a bad cut of beef or worse yet frozen. The bread was really good though. I hope it was just a bad day and I will try again to give them another try.

I can’t believe that I never knew about this place so. I just had the most amazing lobster ravioli, with a loaded Italian salad, baked garlic bread dipped in marinara sauce, and a cold Birra Moretti to wash it all down. On top of that Pino’s service was amazing. Great environment and real Italians doing the cooking and speaking Italian with classic Italian songs playing in the background.

No. Greasy, oily, bland, mushy and overpriced. Think… crockpot mush. It’s like that but you’re going to pay $ 15 for it. No seasoning, no flavor… just oily, red sauce with flavorless meat lumps. I would rather eat Stouffer’s because when compared to this stuff really would make a great meal Skip this place.

Hands down the most authentic Italian place to eat around in the IE. A little ma and pa shop located right off baseline at the border of Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga. I have had several dishes there ranging from the Eggplant Parmigiana to the Chicken Parmigiana to the meatball sub. Everything was made to perfection at a timely manner. Their cheese bread appetizers is too kill for. Definitely recommend this place, I myself have been several times. Enjoy!

BACKGROUND: Bella Italia was located in San Gabriel(Rosemead Blvd & Huntington Drive) for 30+ years. In 2013, there was a fire that caused some damage to the restaurant. In the same year, they eventually closed their doors for good. Their son Pino took some time off to restore some of the equipment and eventually opened the Fontana location in October of 2014. They are an Italian-family-run business owned by the Mele family(Parents Franco and Rina can mostly be found in the kitchen and son Pino is usually in the front of the house serving customers. His mother Rina has been cooking since age 13 and prepares everything from scratch. LOCATION: They are located on East Ave, south of Baseline Road by the 15 fwy in Fontana. They are in the same plaza as the«Jump Around». My husband and I traveled all over Italy a couple years ago(Venice, Milan, Florence, Rome, Sorrento, Capri) so we are rarely impressed with Italian restaurants here in California. This restaurant had me at the bread sticks and meat sauce. Once I tasted the meat sauce, I knew the rest of my meal was going to be good! Note that the place in Italy where this family is from is known for their meat sauce(not cream sauces). I ordered the Baked Lasagna with Meatball which came with my choice of soup or salad. I decided to go with soup and could pick from Clam Chowder, Lentil, Italian Wedding or Minestone. I originally chose Minestone, but Pino convinced me to try their Clam Chowder. My husband ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana with his choice of side pasta and he got the spaghetti and a salad for his side. The salad had so much fresh mozzarella cheese shaved on top of it. The dish they served our Lasagna and Eggplant Parmigina is imported from Italy and cannot be found in the U.S. Pino has one of his relatives in Italy buy them for the restaurant and they can withstand very hot temperatures to ensure your food is served HOT. When I say«HOT» I mean that you have to blow on it or else you’ll burn your tongue! My lasagna was superb and you can tell it wasn’t pre-made from a larger batch and cut up for individual servings. My husband and I were so stuffed that we both needed to box up the rest of our food. However, once we got home, we just ate the rest of it! HAHAH. It tasted just as good as in the restaurant. Our meal of two entrees came out to approximately $ 30. My husband loved the food so much, he wants to go again next week and has claimed this our new«Italian go to restaurant in the area». This was my second time going there and I must say I was very impressed with this restaurant. I used to be a server so I know what good and bad service is. This place made me and my wife feel like we were at a longtime friends house hanging out. All the servers were very friendly and attentive. The owner/manager makes the experience awesome. Treats you like longtime friend. Food was great. Really fresh pasta and lasagna. Couldn’t ask for a better time there. Almost hated leaving. We will be back. If you haven’t tried this place give it a chance. This is the type of place you want in your community. Let’s support them and make is succeed.

Oh my gosh everything and I mean everything is so beyond good and the service was just as awesome! Do have some of their wedding soup I mean this stuff needs to be canned and shared with the masses!!! Picture of meal taken and shared here too. Their location is easily missed when trying to get here but be patient it is worth it.

First off, I have to say, I didn’t know that fontana had a good or decent Italian food spot near. Then I was cruising Unilocal and found this spot. Secondly I was like ok it seems decent through the reviews and was a little ehhhh like I’d have to try it to make a decision. Finally I came Was not disappointed in the service, food, portions, prices. Grand slam home run. I highly recommend and have been here several times since Franco and mom and pops Got the food business down to a T!

We came because all the good reviews. I ordered Fettuccine bolognese, my hubby ordered combination plate. Everything taste bland, its like the chef forgot to put flavor. Barely any meat sauce to spread around the fettuccine. If it was more flavorful I think it will taste good. I don’t know what all the other good reviews are about.

First let me say that this establishment is very small and you need to call ahead of time if you plan to dine-in. Ok, enough of that, you’ve been warned. This is a very nice place to enjoy a good Italian meal. The cheese bread w meat sauce is very tasty and goes good with their imported Italian beer. My favorite music channel playing in the background of Luis Prima & Sinatra. Gives you that nostalgic feel. Come on an empty stomach! The meatball soup is delicious & I ordered the chicken parmigiana with angel hair pasta. Over all it’s a good place with good service & the owners son is very nice. Good job gumba! Ciao.
