Great sushi and all of my favorites! Janet is a great hostess! Love the food and service. Price is good too. You won’t be disappointed!

My mom and I decided to do a girls evening out and we tried out this place, mostly out of convenience. I was pleasantly surprised by how much variety the menu offered. I got a «bento box» that had vegetable tempura, salad, rice, miso soup, avocado/cucumber roll, and fried mashed potato. This was on the dinner menu and was only $ 12! So much variety and flavor. I absolutely loved it and I cannot wait to go back! My mom got a bento box as well, but she also got shrimp tempura and sashimi with her meal(instead of extra veggies). She absolutely raved about how fresh the fish was. It was such a treat to meet the owner, Janet, as well. She was very kind and so friendly. I told her that my mom and I would be bringing our husbands back with us sometime soon!

Overall food was mediocre at best and sushi was low quality. Service was slow and it looked like there was only one waiter working. Won’t be returning.

Worst service ever. We sat at the sushi bar and were ignored by the chef for nearly 15 min. The server(who I believe is the owner) came by for our drink order and after delivering my green tea and my husbands beer she never returned. We didn’t even have water. Meanwhile after the sushi chef finally took our order it then took another 20 min to get our food. The server never came back, we were dying a thirst and were paid no attention. When we had finally had enough we asked the sushi chef for our bill as the«server» was nowhere to be seen. We waited another 10 min until physically getting up and asking the«server» for our bill, in which we promptly paid and basically stood by the credit card scanner so we could get the hell out of there. The sushi was okay but the point of dinning out versus take out or cooking at home is to be WAITED on. Will not return

I like this restaurant. It’s clean, ingredients are fresh which is a must in a sushi restaurant. The owner is very nice as well. As for the food, it’s very good. Portions are larger then most sushi restaurants. Over all I would recommend!

Ok so I have eaten here now around 5 or 6 times. The food has always been consistent, but lacks that 5 star quality you would expect from such a sheik establishment. I do love the no nonsense approach from the super cool manager/owner. She is one of a kind, and totally funny and cool. I did feel like they needed someone to bus tables as there were dirty dishes that needed to be removed from multiple locations for the entire time we were there, Including right next to me on the sushi bar(Yikes). The fish storing coolers in front of the bar seemed extremely messy as well. Some were empty and I just feel like this little thing could be tightened up to ensure a bit better of a visual experience. The television set up is pretty awesome though. They have huge HD TVs right behind the bar and in multiple locations around the restaurant. I’m sure I will make it back at some point but it’s definitely not at the top of my list.

This place has good sushi. The staff was nice but one chef was pressuring us to hurry to order. Why the rush? There was no one else in there. Good location. Something new.

Booked a reservation weeks ahead. Confirmed 1 hour before, yet when we arrived they had given our table away. Only 2 wait staff on a Saturday night meant we had to wait an hour to place our order for a large party. And another 40 minutes until we received food. No refills on drinks, no checking in with our table at all. I would say it was poor service, but there was no service. The sushi was good. Everyone was happy with their food once it arrived.

Wasabi House gets a solid«meh» from me. If «not bad» is what you’re going for, this would be your place. On the plus side, it wasn’t crowded. At all. On a Friday night. Hmmmm… The prices are a tad higher that Mikuni for most items, but the portions are a bit larger, so that’s a push. The service was«not bad». Not friendly or welcoming, and pretty dang slow, especially given the lack of other customers. No Freaky Edamame on the menu and«we don’t serve brown rice here». The miso soup lacked something, and given the name, I was surprised that the wasabi lacked any kind of kick, as did the atmosphere. Someone posted what I found to be a really astute observation recently. If people are always rating local sushi restaurants in terms of how they stack up against Mikuni, that ought to tell you something. I’m done experimenting for a while. When I can be at Mikuni within 10 minutes, I see no reason to keep hoping to find a «hidden gem».

We found the food freshness to have declined significantly. The soft shell crab was bitter. The DF lobster in the roll was bitter. The rolls were over-smothered in sauces. The sashimi tuna and salmon were fresh. They probably turn that over quickly. On service, the server didn’t speak English well and botched our order. She didn’t deliver all that we ordered. She also wasn’t attentive to our table. Not going to return.

Excellent sushi. Wasabi House is family owned and they have three locations. Citrus Heights. Folsom. And Roseville. This was my first time at the Folsom location. Decided to go there with the family because we were shopping at Palladio. It was only about a half mile from there. I’ve been to the Citrus Heights location and it was GREAT! That’s why I was eager to try this location. It didn’t disappoint. Wasabi House has a lot of sushi rolls to choose from. Ranging from $ 10 and up. Instead of going with the crafty names, go by the fish that’s included in the roll. A lot of the $ 10 sushi rolls had top notch fish on it. I ordered the Amy. Deep fried shrimp. Hamachi. Tuna. And I believe another fish. Adorned with avocado, drizzled with a touch of teriyaki sauce. It was EXCELLENT! The kids ordered bento boxes. Impressive for a bento box. 2 Tempura shrimps and vegetables. Side salad with shredded carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, and a fabulous dressing. Plus, a few California rolls. Taro’s is my usual go-to spot for sushi, but Wasabi House satisfies my sushi cravings. Well done Wasabi House. There’s a lot of care and attention that goes into their presentation.

Janet and Peter are awesome owners of the best sushi place in town. Not the cheapest, but certainly the best. I like the«Ask» roll the best. The fish here is always served in large portions and very fresh, great spot.

I’ve been coming to wasabi since they opened this location ! Always consistent food quality. Janet, the owner is awesome owner, knows her business and is a great host. I order the s.o.s every time and it’s awesome every single time. Great portion sizes.

The miso soup was the typical miso soup at every other sushi place so that was a good thing. The two rolls that I got were the tekka making and the lion king. Both of which were delicious. The major issue I had was the lack of service. I went during the lunch hour and they only had a single waitress who was barely able to help with my orders. I’ll probably go again to see if the service improves.

What a disappointment! Going downhill fast! Bad Service… they are the poster children for how to not treat their customers. Slow, a waitress who does not understand English and the owner who spend more time hugging and shooting the breeze with her friends than ensuring people get their orders taken and their food brought to them. Food…The portions are very, very small… The Bento Box comes in a lunch size and a Dinner size. We went there for dinner and it was the smallest bento Box I had ever seen. I am afraid to see how small the lunch size is. I have to admit the Miso soup was a treat. With so many choices, this would be my last one if I was eating in Folsom.

Oh Wasabi! how much i adore and love this place. We are officially regulars here and the owner knows our order by heart. Walking up to the entrance you are greeted with fun lively house music, that sets the stage as you enter the doors and are greeted by a beautiful waterfall display. To the right you are welcomed and seated with a choice of low regular dining tables, tall bistro tables closer to the sushi bar, and of course along the sushi bar. They also have a bar with seating and what looks like an event room as well! The waitress and the owners are all so friendly and they remember you only after a couple of visits. the menu is so extensive, so take the time to look it over and you always somehow discover a yummy new roll even after several visits here. The nice thing about the menu is they have upscale photos of the more popular rolls so you can see what looks appetizing. Their potstickers are yummy and perfectly cooked, a perfect appetizer to enjoy along with some miso soup and a bowl of rice. The soup is always served at the perfect temperature with such robust flavor. There is nothing more soothing then feeling the slight steam from the soup as you enjoy it while you wait for your rolls or entrees. The tempura entrée is beautiful and wonderful, with the perfect level of crispiness and batter. the rolls are all beautifully and tightly packed with the perfect combination of ocean, rice, veggies, sauce, whatever it may be depending on the roll you order. Our usual options are The Amy Roll, the Catepillar roll, the Rainbow roll, and sometimes the Brenda Special or the Pepperfin. Please look at my photos for the rolls! Out the door, this isn’t the cheapest sushi in town by any means, but the ambiance and the flavor makes it absolutely worth it.

4 stars for this area. 3.5 stars if it was in the bay area. The food is decent for the area. The restaurant itself is nice and modern. There wasn’t anything particularly memorable but I’d probably come again.
