Yay I found my new favorite pizza joint! Too bad it’s location is off in the part of the shopping center that doesn’t get much foot traffic. Due to that alone I hope they don’t go out of business. Owner & staff are always friendly, pizza is made quickly, and always delicious. Clams on my pizza = party in my tummy.

I love discovering unique family businesses! The place has personality, for sure. We loved our dinner here. We were surprised with the complimentary hot-out-of-the-oven bread and delicious olive oil, lemon and spiced balsamic dipping sauce appetizer. The three of us were able to split a full Caesar salad, which was super fresh romaine, generous portion of parm and dressed perfectly. The pizza was also very good. The toppings were a little light, but overall very tasty. The staff was so personable and conversational. I came to this restaurant because of Groupon, but we enjoyed ourselves so thoroughly that we can’t wait to come back and bring others, too.

Stellar service. My son and I wandered in here for some pizza. I ordered a blue moon while we waited but the owner was out of it, so he gave me a way better beer for the same price. He showed my son how he was making the pizza, which was delicious! The owner has made a major change inside, there is finally some personality in that place! After a few pizza places in there have failed with their boring industrial looking decore, the owner of Girasole has put some fantastic and gorgeous furniture inside and redecorated overall. The owner also roasts his own coffee beans on the weekends downtown so if you go to Girasole and you see the wicker basket with bags of coffee for sale, GET one! it’s been my best coffee in a really long, long time.

I’m not sure why this place has had so many good reviews. I love supporting new small businesses but this place will never get my money again. I called at 6:45pm on a weekday(not knowing that they closed at 7, which is ridiculous for a dinner place) and after many, many rings, a very rude person answered. I asked for a to go order and he said ‘we close in ten minutes’. And after an awkward pause, I asked if this meant I can’t order? He rudely replied that I can ‘if I can be there in 10 min’. I said only live 5 min away and he said fine and tried to hang up… without taking my order. If I hadn’t already paid for the groupon, in would have never given this place my business. But I ordered anyway and headed there. The pizza looked good but was terribly soggy! And the salad was meager and not what I ordered at all! Then ‘owner’ then was rude when I asked for another salad, without being drowned in dressing I don’t like and didn’t order. After getting my food, i nicely told him that he should be nicer on the phone. He then started with excuses about being busy(place had one family eating there) and he never apologized. Never again will i frequent this place and I have told other local friends and family not to waste their money here.

I was in the area wanting some pizza, so I stopped in, and NOONE was in there, kind of odd for the lunch hour, guess I should have taken that as my first sign not to order, then I ordered a small hawaiian pizza, which I was told could feed 2 people very well, when it was only 4 slices of pizza. Way over priced for what you get. And was probably worse quality than Little Caesars. I rarely give bad reviews, but this place was terrible!

We had bought a groupon so it was well worth the money… delicious, unique, thin crust pizza. We ordered it to go and when we got there, the owner informed us that our pizza’s crust had gotten stuck in the pizza oven so they had to make a new one. We sat at the«bar» and talked to the owner until our new pizza was done. Such a nice guy… we hope his pizza restuarant makes it! The pizza smelled so good in the car, we dove in and had a couple of slices before we could get home! Yummy! We will be back!

Absolutely delicious. Classic Italian pizza. The ingredients are always fresh and good quality. The owner is also so friendly and good conversation while I was waiting for a pick up order

I feel bad writing this review since it appears to be a family business and they are trying hard, but this pizza was not good at all. Went on a Saturday night at 7 pm and only three tables were occupied, so based on that and the very weak pizza I would guess they are not doing well. Writing the review since there are so many good reviews on Unilocal for this place and don’t want others to get burned. I agree with the other reviewer, anyone who thinks this is good pizza should have their Unilocal account revoked. Had the margherita. Globbed with oily cheese and a few tomatoes and a basil leaf or two. Wan’t even close to being passable, especially given their gourmet prices. Crust went immediately limp and they broke my cardinal rule of a pizzeria and brought it to the table luke warm. I want to burn the roof of my mouth! Caesar salad was laughable. It appeared to be from Raley’s and had almost no flavor and no cheese at all for $ 8. Who has no cheese on a Caesar? Way too many good, new pizzerias in Sac now, so there’s no way this one makes sense to eat at unless you live around the corner and have $ 22 burning a hole in your pocket. We drove 20 minutes thinking it would be worth the drive. Caught an earful from the family for that and will definitely be a bit less trustful of Unilocal in the future.

I’ve been back here a handful of times now and each time the pizza gets better. Glad to see a small business like this growing in popularity. They have a loyal customer in me and I will be coming back as long as they are here.

4 stars for the food, +1 for great service. I’ve been here 3 times. Twice to dine in and once to go. I’ve never left disappointed about the food. First time I came here we stopped in right as they were about to close, but they decided to stay open a little longer for us. Their pizza was delicious. Thin crust, fresh ingredients, fair pricing. The palermo(with clams and thick cut bacon) was especially memorable. We’ve also tried the margherita and gladiatore, both of which were very tasty. I especially liked the chorizo they use. It’s perfectly seasoned but still not too salty. The second time we dined in, they gave us a piece of olive oil cake on the house! When we ordered to go the order was ready in record time(10 minutes!) and the pizza was ready before we could even get ready to leave the house. Would definitely recommend this place to pizza lovers who want to see pizzas made the traditional way. They keep it simple with fresh ingredients and do it right. Homey atmosphere inside + excellent services makes Girasole the complete package.

Soggy pizza! How did this place get the reviews that it got? People who think this is good pizza need to get rid of their Unilocal account or stop giving reviews! Try Luigi’s on Stockton blvd it’s in the hood but worth the risk! No soggy pizza there and you pay half the price! Don’t waste your money or time here! My order was a to go order and and I had asked for ranch dressing, I could not believe that the gave what amounted to 2 thimble sized servings of it! Really for a small $ 15.00 pizza? No way will I ever be back!

Came back here a second time. The pizza tasted even better this time! Also the service was perfect. We were thinking about ordering a dessert item after eating our pizza and before we could even ask for the menu, the server gave us a slice of the olive oil cake for free(we were going to order that too)! You have just won yourself a loyal customer with that. I really wish more people come here, because this place really deserves more customers. Very fresh/high quality ingredients, tasty pizza, great prices, and impeccable service. What more can you ask for?

Good food, drinks are little pricey, however the service is great. Went with a group of 5 and we finished off 3 medium pizzas, a salad, an appetizer. They plan on having pastas starting next week. The chef gave us a free taste and it was quite delicious.

Based on the reviews here, contrasted with my own experience, I have to conclude that the pizza must be hit and miss. The night we went, it was definitely a miss. The salad was good(and huge), and the service was very friendly and competent and I didn’t mind the amateurish nature of things, made it seem homey and all. Pizza is about the crust, and that is where Girasole disappointed big time. The crust was bland, which is forgivable. But it was also soggy, and that is not forgivable. And when I say«soggy», I don’t mean just a little. Big time soggy. Perhaps we went on a night when the regular pizza chef was out sick or something, but if this was their normal presentation, it was really quite bad. The toppings were fresh and good, but the crust ruined the pizza.

Tucked away in the back lot of the Broadstone shopping center; this place is a hidden gem. The owner helped me decide which pizzas to order and while I was waiting, engaged me in such friendly conversation I forgot I was waiting! He asked if it was my first time there and we got to talking about our love of pizza. When my order was ready he presented the pizzas to me to view before I left. The crust was cooked perfectly through without the top of the pizza getting burnt(which is tough to do on thin crust pizza like this) the spices and blend of high quality cheese makes such a difference. I will definitely be back — I can’t wait to try their marghirita pizza. Yum!

Friends from work encouraged me to give this place a try, I’m glad I did. You can tell they use fresh ingredients for their uniquely topped pizzas. We had the Toscana (mozzarella, fresh tomato slices, prosciutto & baby spinach). It was tasty ! They have number of other specialty pizzas including some interesting seafood and vegetarian options. I can’t wait to give those a try.

On a quest to find true old world Italian pizza for hubby, We were disappointed once again. Hubby grew up on those amazing San Francisco north beach pizzas. This was not it. Not a huge Fan of thin crusts. They seem to be light on their ingredients as well. Pizza was ok. But nothing to write home about.

This is as good as it gets in my book. Spoke with the owner Jorge and he makes everything fresh including the dough. The toppings are premium and you will like the service and décor. The wife and I did a half order medium pizza. One side was the Margherita and the other side was the Spagnola– the Spagnola had Chorizo, Red Onion and Pepper. Because I love Hawaiian Pizza and the Mrs. despises it, I made a comment to the owner how I would come by myself next time and order, well as we were almost done with our pizza he comes out and says he had made a Hawaiian Pizza for his lunch and gave me two slices. That is customer service. Please Folsom support this place, we need it.
