I don’t understand what the bad reviews are all about. I have gone to numerous tanning salons and this is just like any other.
of course tanning in overpriced, and of course the lotions are usually more expensive than any of us would really like.
but i love this little salon. They have a lot of beds and work hard to make the inside look nice. they have up to date magazines in the waiting area, and I’ve hardly ever had to wait for a bed.
The girl who works here works very hard, and the beds are always very well cleaned. I came in as a new client a couple of weeks ago and didn’t feel that they were too pushy when helping me decide what package to get. She was and is very knowledgable about the lotions.
They have fans in all of the rooms in case you feel overheated in the beds, and it is right next to a starbucks so you can zip in for a refreshing drink before or after.
Sunday they close earlier than i would like, but other than that no complaints here.

This place practices false advertising. They advertised $ 20 sale on a mistic spray tan. I got there and was charged $ 33. They said there are purchases that are required. I was in a hurry so I stuck with my plan and used them. But I will not return, they lost me as a customer. I guess they want only one time time customers and they don’t care about repeat business.

Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced – I decided I need a base tan before I went on vacation so I decided to check out the tanning place that is closest to where I live – Amazing Tans in Folsom. They were running a «deal» where if I purchased one month, I got another month free so I bought that package. I paid for the «deal», bought eye protection and overpriced tanning lotion (about $ 5 a use).
The girl working behind the counter couldn’t figure out what code to use for the tanning I had purchased so I stood for 15 – 20 minutes while she tried to figure it out; with customers waiting behind me (note – 3 X longer than the 6 minutes of tanning I did that day).
Today I went in and was told by the manager that I owed $ 8 more for the package I had previously purchased because their pricing had changed and the girl who had helped me on my initial visit had quoted the wrong price. I asked her to forgo the $ 8 since I had waited way too long the first time and bought the «tanning package» based on what I was quoted. She said it was «Corporate» that was insisting she collect the additional $ 8 before I did any more tanning. I had my adult daughter with me who was going to talk to them about purchasing a tanning package, but she decided she would go elsewhere after watching the interaction. I paid my $ 8 and will never patronize the place again after my package is used up.
This is not a firm that gets «common sense» business practices. There are a lot of other tanning places and I would recommend choosing one that is a little more «honest» in their business practices.

Worst salon ever. I canceled my account and they still charged me for their services 2 months after my account was said to be inactive. They are rude and they don’t care about their customers at all, plus they are so dirty and trashy on the inside. They are so deceitful and they take advantage of their customers just to make an extra few bucks. I was a customer of California sun for years but switched because Amazing tans was closer. Now I’m going back to California Sun because they are so much more professional and they aren’t trashy, rude, or deceitful to their customers.
