I rarely head out of the house to go to Woody’s but every time im there i have a good time. The service is fast, the variety of pizzas is pretty good and the pies that I have had are tasty!

Absolutely terrible food. We were staying out at the beach for the weekend and had a couple of sub sandwiches delivered. We both took two bites out of our subs and threw them away. Oh, and it also took them an hour to deliver food to a house that was a mile away. Seriously? Avoid wasting your money here.

For about a decade before actually living in Charleston, Folly Beach was my #1 spot to come down for at the weekend and relive spring break as an adult. That said, it seems I have a long list of places I’ve been going to for a ten years but have never eaten at them. I blame that on my Folly friends. Well good news for Woody’s — I finally tried their pizza! We picked up two large pizzas to bring back to the Barrel(apparently they won’t drive over the bridge to deliver). Turns out that it’s some damn good pizza. Their pepperoni pizza is by no means a gourmet Sicilian one, but it is a greasy, cheesy one that goes perfectly with beer. Basically it’s the kind of pizza that you really want at 2:00 am when all the bars close. If you go in with those expectations, then you’re going to love it. As for Woody’s itself, it’s a fun place to go grab a beer. Cute atmosphere, friendly service, and they have live music out on the deck during the summers. Now that I finally know that Woody’s serves great food and is a lot more than just a fun place to drink, I’ll be back to dine in soon.

I thought the pizza was great, the service was OK. I called it in, came in to picked it up. Took them a few minutes to find my order and were still working on it. So a little slower than what they told me. Not a deal breaker. I would order from them again if I was looking for some decent pizza.

Woody’s Pizza is delicious. The wait for the hand tossed pizza was a tad long for my stomach’s liking but some nicely herbed(that’s a word, right?) breadsticks held us over. The house salad was generously sized and yummy. if you’re into salad at a pizza place! We had a split of the veggie and the white pizza. So good. The slices are humongous and I ended up carrying almost the whole pizza home. There is a porch dining area with live music some nights and dogs are okay on the porch. The inside is a small area with a full bar and about four or five tables. Fine for kids if they aren’t too keen on running around and are containable. All in all a sweet setup!

I created a Unilocal account specifically for this purpose: DONOTGOTOWOODYS. The pizza is sub par and I’ve never experienced a more rude waitress in my entire life. The woman with the tattoos up her leg and down her arm was downright mean to us and proceeded to talk to the manager/bar tender in woodys shirts about us as we were paying. We are here vacationing with family and it is completely unfortunate that we had to be treated so poorly at our first stop on Folly Beach(for the first time). Here’s a tip woody’s: you’re in the service industry. Hire people who like people.

I can only rate the food and not the restaurant as my wife and I ordered delivery. The pizza we had was outstanding. I highly recommend this place on Folly if you get a craving for pizza.

Delicious! Finally a good pizza place in charleston. Limited inside seating but lots of picnic benches outside. Didn’t get to try anything else but the menu has everything you would hope for at a pizza place

The service was awesome, but then we sat at the bar. Super, super nice bartender who was working her ass off. Brown hair, cute hair cut around her face. Mak at the bar said she’s been there for 10 years. Cold beers and accommodated us by putting the Giants game and Warriors game on two diff tvs. Pizza– hmmm, it was very salty because they put green olives AND kalamata olives on the pizza. Good thing we added pineapple to counter all the saltiness. If it wasn’t so salty, it wouldn’t be bad. Kind of light on the toppings. It’s the kind of pizza you have to eat with a knife and fork. Warning: the 18″ is a very large pizza. 14″ would be better for a couple.

Last night, I called in a takeout order for a Delta Pie(feta, spinach, kalamatta olives, banana peppers, and mozzarella). They were accommodating to my request to substitute the olives for bacon which was awesome. Upfront, I was told it’d be about forty-five minutes(I called the order in about 9:15pm on Saturday so I get that they were busy). Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have enough parking so I ended up parking illegally in a church lot for a few minutes. The pizza was ready when I arrived which was good. I liked the ambiance of the place(a bar and a few tables inside, several tables outside under a covered roof). The pizza itself was good… lots of tomato sauce and generous portions of toppings.

Decided to go here for carry out. Ordered two different types of piZza. often pizza places — even with coal ovens — get messed up because they under-cook it or burn it. Then DONOT have this problem here and they have very fresh ingredients which enhances the entire experience. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way during pickup to give me great service. I will return here in the future.

Food was ok, but the angry white trash bartender waitress was a total bummer. Uggghhh Just be nice.

The pizza is pretty good, not the best pizza you have ever had in your life but pretty darn good, everything else on the menu is above average but just, the service can be a bit on the slow side but good people, the deliver is not fast, just giving fair warning, fun place, would give 3 and a half if possible, they lost the half star from me when they stopped having Siracha available :-(

The wait staff was friendly and the ambiance was fun. Unfortunately the pizza was mediocre and overpriced. The kids did enjoy the staff’s suggestion of trying honey on the crust and it’s by the beach, so we’d go back if we’re ever in the area.

My boyfriend and I ate dinner here based on reading reviews. We were not disappointed! We both ordered a beer and were given water as well. The wait to get our food was reasonable and we got to sit outside on the deck which was wonderful. Our waitress was busy but kept checking in on us. We ordered an 18″ Woody pizza. It was incredible! The toppings were fresh and the crust was thin and crispy. They had honey at the table so I put some on my crust and was pleasantly surprised. Would go back again on our next visit :)

Worst pizza and calzone I’ve ever had in my life. This includes Jack’s frozen pizza and the slices at the roller skating rinks of my youth. Also the hotel pizza I had in Cancun when they used jarred Ragu instead of sauce. The sausage tastes like undercooked, plain, ground turkey. The pepperoni is barely flavored as well. I can’t believe the cheese is real cheese. The thing that really blows my mind is that you have to try to make pizza this bad. I know cuz I’ve made it. What are they doing and why?! Bleh.

After about eight trips to Folly, I finally got to Woody’s Pizza! I have to say, I was delightfully surprised. Let’s be honest, there isn’t a huge demand for pizza when you are two blocks from the edge of the world. Everyone has seafood and boat drinks on the brain. My bride and I spent eight days there so we were able to get a good sample of what Folly has to offer. One night we walked down to Woody’s expecting basic pizza but hopeful. I’m a foodie and I just like to try new places so it was bound to happen. Much to my surprise, this was a great pie. In fact, it was well above the average pizza found in our hometown of Charlotte. We had a four topping pie split for what we wanted. It was hot, cheesy, and they didn’t short us on toppings. It really was great. The next day, we both had some cold pizza and it kept exceptionally well and was some of the better cold pizza I’ve had in a while. If you have time to check it out, it shouldn’t disappoint. Our key with places like this is go head straight to the heart of the menu. If we waste time trying to hope for a diamond in the rough appetizer that ends up letting you down and filling you up… you won’t be happy. Go straight for the pie and eat up!
