This is Folly at its best :) Great little bar, best bartenders when I was there (Nettie and Cindy) and atmosphere! Definitely not a place to be pretentious. When I was a regular there in ’90’s never had a problem for a single girl especially with Richard and Skipper manning the door.

Let me start by saying you can still smoke inside. Great in the winter or heat of summer and you will walk out needing to do laundry.
Make no doubt about it this is a local dive bar. With all the charms that come with them. You will know as soon as you walk in if this place is for you. This is the working class type of bar and the people are very friendly. Everyone seems to have a story to tell so be prepared to listen. The bartenders know how to handle the crowd and liven their spirits.
The alcohol is cheap. I mean really where can you be on the beach in 10 seconds and be able to buy Bud Light for $ 1.50 all day.
They had a band when we went. It was New Years Day and my party had a great time! I live here and we were in a wedding party. The band congratulated the bride and groom. People bought drinks. It was awesome. Very nice people.
PS It is cash only. Still trying to get used to that. Don’t mind so much paying a $ 1 for membership. They are a Social Club. Pay the $ 1 and party away! Well worth it.

In Folly beach for a few days and stumbled into this gem. You need to be a member, but as others have stated you only need to pay $ 1, fill out a short form, and pick up your membership card the next day. The bar is a little divey, but it’s awesome. People are very nice and relaxed. Drinks are cheap. You have pool and table tennis. What else do you need? Nothing! Check this place out i lf you’re in town for a few days.
