The sales girl was super helpful and showed me a lipstick and BB cream that I had been searching for. I ended up spending quite a bit more than I intended but am super happy with my purchases and all the samples I got are amazingly good and not just cheap samples some other places give out. Will be back for sure

Walking along Main Street with my friend, we came upon this store and the only thing that attracted our attentions was the promotion/​sale which was a pack of 15 pieces of mask for 10 $. We walked in and wasn’t really greeted properly so I let that slide since there was a reasonably amount of people in such a small store. I walked over to the mask section and those were on sale also. For some reason my friend walked out to the table outside the store with the promotion/​sale masks and picked it up. Just about this time, one of the workers scrambled from the middle of the store to the door and asked «DO YOU NEED HELP? «. As I heard her attitude towards my friend, I didn’t have a good impression of that worker. I proceed to look at the masks but was hesitating if I should buy it because it wasn’t a brand I’ve heard of and I was concerned about apply cheap skin care on my face. Not only the brand was the problem, the worker that gave my friend an attitude stood right in back of me and watched every move I made. How did I know? She stood near the mirror that was next to the masks and I saw the way she looked at me when I was looking at the usage of the masks. Sometimes I believe that being all up in a customers face can drive them out the door with a bad impression.

I like this store have a lot of new stuff and the sales are so friendly. I bought lipstick and spray. They are very useful.

For such a small space, they carried a lot of items for different categories. Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to check out all of their departments.
I bought two lip tints that I’m in love with and use multiple times every day.
They also offer makeup classes and makeup applications for weddings/​special events that I’m dying to take advantage of.
The girls were friendly and I didn’t feel like they were trying to up sell me anything.
They gave me loads and loads of samples/​freebies.
Quite possibly my favorite makeup store. And that’s saying something cause I barely wear makeup.

Over the past few years, I’ve started incorporating Korean skincare and cosmetics into my daily régime. I’ve grown to love the effectiveness and reasonable prices of Korean cosmetics. On Monday, I decided to take a spur-​of-​the-​moment day trip from DC to NY. I spent about half of my day in Flushing, as a lot of Korean cosmetic companies are setting up shop here first instead of Koreatown. My first stop was Club Clio. One of my favorite makeup products is their waterproof pen liner in «Kill Black» (the other colors are «Kill Brown» and «Kill Blood»). Before I was strictly a gel liner kinda gal. This changed everything. It is simply the best pen liner I have ever used, period. It’s easy to apply and stays put all day, in rain or through an ugly crying session. The main reason for my visit was to repurchase the pen liner.
Club Clio reminds me a lot of MAC or Inglot in design. As I walked around, I noticed a lot of their cosmetics are formulated in Italy and are highly pigmented. They house 3 brands: Clio Professional, Peripera, and Goodal. Clio Professional is their «edgy» fashionable brand of cosmetics. Peripera is their «romantic» brand (think TheBalm, Benefit, Pixi, etc) with extremely cute packaging. Goodal, a word combining «good» and «all» is their natural skincare line free of parabens, synthetic fragrances and dyes, and SLS.
As I’m Vietnamese, I don’t speak a lick of Chinese or Korean aside from what I’ve learned from dramas. But put me in a black puffy coat in Flushing, and every store I go to I’m greeted in Chinese or Korean. So at first, the SA didn’t know what to do with me as I didn’t speak her native tongue, but as I swatched various products on my hand and started the selection process, she was able to assist me. I bought a volume and curling mascara and she said, «You forgot this» and handed me a heated eyelash curler and lash serum, which was included with the mascara! What genius! Even the pen liner was packaged with eye makeup remover.
Club Clio had a bunch of promotions, and I left a happy camper, loaded down with not only the products I purchased, but a ton of freebies, including a CC Cushion Compact! I can’t wait to try out all my shiny new things! This shop is definitely a must if you love makeup and are looking for reasonably priced cosmetics.
