Sonic Drive-In

My family has visited this Sonic several times since moving to Flower Mound in October. Overall we have been pretty happy with the service and food that they serve. There is a bit of a wait involved to get your food or drink orders especially when they are busy.
The order taker always repeats our order back to us like they are supposed to according to Sonic’s own rules. I enjoy watching the carhops ride around on skates to deliver orders. It takes some amazing coordination to both skate and keep a tray of food and or drinks from falling. I definitely could not do it without breaking my neck and making a huge mess in front of the other employees and customers. The carhops are also so friendly and helpful. Almost every time we stay to eat someone comes around and asks each customer if they need any salt/​pepper, napkins, etc.
The only real complaint I have with just about every Sonic I have visited in the past few years. I hate the fact that because of how their credit card system works customers are unable to give someone a tip. I sincerely believe that the customer should decide if the experience is worth leaving a tip for the carhops or not. Perhaps I’m sensitive but because I never have cash on me I’ll either not go to Sonic period or try to get cash over somewhere just to be able to tip but that is inconvenient for me as a customer to do. When I am unable to tip it makes me feel uncomfortable and I feel like it puts me as the customer in a bad spot of feeling like a cheapskate. :(
If they would change the credit machines to allow customers to tip then I would eat here a lot more often and it wouldn’t surprise me if I am not the only one who feels this way.

I know I don’t expect much from sonic, but at least they could serve hot food. How do you order a hamburger and it comes out cold? Terrible job guys.

Friendly, staff, reasonably fast service. Sometimes super busy during happy hour.
In a couple of years — not even once had anything to complain about.
I come on and off once or twice a week for breakfast or snack, but for me the Sonic coffee is the one item that is really great. Idc about Starbucks or others, Sonic coffee is first on my list, hands down.

Just got a milkshake. But person who delivered was sweet. Shake was good. Lost star only because for just a shake it took like 10 ish mins. Umm really? Ok short review for a short visit!
