Long Prairie Pharmacy

Was wanting to try a new pharmacy in my area, so I picked this lovely establishment. I arrived at 6:31, but soon realized the doors locked at 6:30. I looked inside this grand pharmacy and saw five employees looking at me from the inside, just staring like a was a crazy lady. After seeing this, none of the employees had the nerve to come up and say «sorry we are closed». Even more, I started my car and saw the ups guy come up and back his truck into the place. They girl was standing guard of the door to make sure she could let the ups guy in, but not allow me to walk in.
GLAD THE MEDICINE WAS NOT LIFE SAVING OR ANYTHING.
I would give this experience zero stars, but that is not an option.

I really like this pharmacy, and go out of my way to fill medications here. The staff is friendly, they fill things right away when you need it and have gone above and beyond for me in the past. The owner obviously cares about his clients.
It just feels so much friendlier, cleaner, and more personal than a chain or grocery store.
The only negative is I wish their hours were more competitive.

Terrible Phone Service — wait for 10 – 15 mins on hold — someone comes online and asked you to hold again. This has happened every single time (3 now) that I’ve had to do business with this pharmacy. Will ask Dr. to use different pharmacy in future. Too hard to deal with.

I have been using this pharmacy since it was opened under a different owner. Even though they have switched ownership I have never experienced anything but greatness from the staff. They have filled quickly every time Ive been in there and sometimes I have gone in there with 4 – 5 prescriptions. They call when they have any issues and also call when my prescriptions are ready if I didn’t stay to get them.
I have learned recently thay they have gotten extremely busy but I have not experienced any lack of inabilities to do recieve the same greatness that I have been getting along.
I sure does beat waiting hours for prescriptions at other larger companies such as CVS & Walgreens. So if ever I have to wait more then 15 mins then I’m still happy as a lark.

Been using this place for a while now, overall I like it and it’s affordable.
I feel like I confuse them when I call and ask for a refill of my birth control. I asked on the phone if I could just have it auto refilled every month and I couldn’t get a straight answer, so I’ve been calling in my own prescription every month, sometimes I get the «we don’t have enough, we will have it in a day or two» response.
Today I went in 4 hours after my dermatologist called (digitally requested) in a basic, common antibiotic and they seemed to know nothing about it. I had to wait a total of 20 minutes to pick it up after giving them 4 hours to fill it. And I had to spell my name several times, confirm my first name several times, and tell them what doctor’s office sent in the script. –_​-​*. Beyond frustrating. My reasoning? They don’t seem to do the digital requests well, but handle the phones like champs (or like chickens with their heads cut off). And they seem to be training someone new.
So there’s room for improvement, significant in this day and age, but not enough to lose any more stars. I look forward to giving them a 5 star in the future when they’re a little more settled and advanced.

The owner saw me going into the doctors office next door and asked if I would give them a try. I did and it was a good experience. Locally owned and staffed, they are helpful and quick. Answered all my questions and added other info that I had not thought of. I will get all my scripts sent here from now on.

I LOVE this place. It’s a locally owned business. Two young women — the Rx are turned in 10 mins and if they don’t have something you need, they can get it next day!
One of the owners, Jessica, was behind the desk today helping me, she stayed on hold for my Dr. for 15 mins because my Dr. forgot to send one of my prescriptions! I wish we had this small town, personal yet professional kind of pharmacy in Addison :)
