Always loved this restaurant in Plano. This location was enough to turn me off all together to the restaurant In general. Overpriced caesar salad w barely any dressing and no Parmesan cheese at all. My date had a skimpy chicken salad sandwich. Service is slow and food was below sub-par. $ 28.00 for 2 and left hungry. Skip this place.

Had a bad experience with their Sandwhich, the bread was ½ baked. Looks like they are not trained for large crowd.

I must’ve caught them on a bad day, but I had decided on getting their signature dishes. The staff was a little dismissive and though the establishment was beautiful and elegant, it did not justify the air of superiority. The dishes came out on the chilly side, which is usually not an issue, except that the broccoli was flavorless and the consistency of applesauce. The rice was a kinda hard. I ended up trying to mush my broccoli sauce into my rice to get flavor and balance out my meal… Unfortunately, it was an unsuccessful experiment. The soup was acceptable, though slightly too sweet for me. The chicken, actually, had a great flavor! It was rich and warm, but I had to use it to down most of my broccoli rice concoction. So, it was not appreciated to its fullest. All in all. I did not have a great experience, but we live and learn!

I do enjoy a quick bite to eat that tends to be on the healthier side and this is a good spot for that. I enjoyed a wild field salad with salmon. The salmon was a bit dry and they don’t give you much but the wild field salad hit the spot. You’ll find they have unlimited fresh baked bread near the soda fountain which was cool. I recommend it for quick good meals and it’s not expensive. Although the desserts looked yummy I didn’t indulge. The staff was very courteous.

Excellent, quick and fresh sandwiches and entrees. Great quiet, small restaurant/bistro for intimate conversation and cozy gathering with good friends.

This place is great to take your mom or your girlfriend, just for the sweets. However, the food is great too. For breakfast try the Parisien Eggs Benedict. The Caesar Salad is a must. The Pesto Pasta is also delicious. As for sandwiches, go with the Chicken Parisien Duet Magnifique. They are quick about preparing the food.

I’ve always been a fan of this Country French Café — however I agree this location needs help. The dining area is small, cramped, the food is sub-par — and seems to in general gone down in quality. My wife enjoys the Salmon entrée — I won’t touch it after being told by one of the order takers, and I quote, «The salmon itself is what takes so long — 4 minutes.» I just needed to time my order next door for my son — but found out that — for sure — they aren’t cooking this stuff from scratch. And it shows. Pretty sad when a country French bakery starts microwaving it’s dinners … Count me out.

We came for breakfast, both ordered the eggs benedict on croissant. Waited and waited, finally the orders came to the table and both had badly curdled hollandaise sauce with visible lumps! How can anyone serve that? There is absolutely no quality control at this location and very poor management. The manager seemed annoyed that he had to come out and attend to customers! We ordered omlettes instead. After another wait, we finally received brown, rubbery omlettes. Omlettes are not supposed to be brown! The manager did not follow up, I had to call him out of his office again, and once again he seemed annoyed with us. We gave up and asked for our money back. They wanted to charge us six dollars plus tax for the Coffee! When we handed the coffee back, they said no, you keep it and took off that charge. This is the worst customer service and the worst management I have seen in a restaurant in a very long time. We ended up eating egg burritos at Sonic where the eggs were cooked perfectly and much more care was put into the food. And, it cost a lot less!

La Madeline is one of our favorite places. We were looking forward to the opening of this location. We have been to the other locations many times before. This location however, has very slow service. I had to wait over 20 mins, being second in line, for a take out order of soup and tarts(which are all pre-made). The register is right next to the kitchen through a narrow and busy hallway, which I feel is a big design flaw. The food and desserts are good and my kids always look forward to eating here.

I don’t understand the appeal of this restaurant! Their prices are not cheap and the food is very lack luster. I ordered the balsamic chicken salad for lunch today and I am pretty sure the only thing on my salad was chicken, lettuce and dressing. Nothing else! What cracks me up is that it is one of their very few menu items listed under 600 calories(Yeah, because nothing is on it!). If you have the chance of skipping this restaurant and hitting Market Street instead… I would!

I’m not really a fan of restaurants where I have to stand in line to order at a counter — I like to peruse menus with more leisure and without feeling like I have to hurry up because the people in line behind me are ready to order. We came right before noon, so the line was strong. I visited this venue with my son and a friend. My son and I ordered the Eggs Benedict — both were very good but my egg was still raw around the edges. I brought this to the attention of a manager and she offered up another one but that would have meant that my friend and son would be finished(and ready to go… we had somewhere else to be) so I declined. Instead, the manager said we could take a bakery item to go. I felt this was a fair compromise. We also had a potato pancake which was okay.

Had absolute no complaints here today! Came during a busy lunch hour but yet at least one person behind the counter greeted everyone coming in with a bonjour! The lines moved steadily and our order came out perfectly under 5 minutes. We had the half sandwhich combo with Ceasar salad & tomato soup. Noticed all the empty tables being cleared away as soon as the customers left. I give two thumbs up!

I love la Madeline but this location needs help. The food is mediocre and the service is painstakingly slow. Definitely not on par with any other locations around Dallas. Needs work!

Today was my 3rd visit to this restaurant. Food is excellent and service is okay if you’re eating in. Ordered 2 soups to go and waited 20 min to receive my order. How hard is it to scoop 2 bowls of soup?
