Our family has been to Johnny numerous times and the service and food has always been great. Pizza is hands down the best around the area and price is good as well. You wont be disappointed.

I’ve found it hard to find good pizza in the area but this place has a solid pizza with a nice crust. It’s not fancy but has a lot of TVs if you’re looking for a place to watch the game and the people have always been nice. A great place to take kids for pizza. Picture Buffalo Wild Wings but with Italian food and you’ve got this place.

Absolutely best pizza I have ever had in Texas. The crust is great and the sauce is exactly what I want it to be. Never going to another pizzeria again. This place is amazing.

Great pizza! Don’t know if it is authentic or not, but I love pizza, and this ranks near the top in my book. Been there 4 times and is ALWAYS good. Well worth it!

I can only review the pizza on carry out. On the inside waiting for my order it appears to be a typical pizza joint, with a sort of sports theme. Some games, sit at bar area, etc. The pizza was decent the first time we ordered. It was better the last two. It is a pretty good NJ/NY style thin crust pizza. The cheese is the right amount, seems like real cheese. It won’t win any awards but out here, it’s not too bad as a NJ pizza option.

Me and my son waited 45 minutes for 2 slices of mediocre pizza. We keep giving them other chances and they get worse. This will be the last time we eat here.

I’m glad I didn’t read these reviews before trying the place! My husband & I had the cheese garlic bread(should be toasted a little more before adding the cheese) however we had the Johnny Deluxe, this pizza was possibly by far one of the best and most flavorful pizzas we’ve had in our lives. And let me tell you we’ve experienced tasting pizzas from many different states in the intercontinental US of A. The marinara sauce that they utilize, instead of a tomato paste type that many places use is truly a joy. The wait staff was friendly & helpful, apparently the management has utilized the reviews & done a better job in their hiring techniques. With that being said, anyone that’s ever been a server or in service in their lives, knows you don’t condemn a place on one bad experience due to the staff, try again. Otherwise I could probably eliminate many restaurants on FM407, due to some of the worst experience!(example Buffalo Wild Wings). Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, remember though, what normal minded person orders pizza by the slice unless it’s for a work lunch & your in a rush. Judy

Grew up in TX so not sure how authentic the food is but to me it is delish. Have had everything from the pizza, sub sandwiches, salads, and lasagnas and was happy with all. Happy hour beer prices are good too. Service is never good. If you’re in a hurry to eat, order ahead and take the food to a table

This is a pizza joint — make sure you know what you’re signing up by going here. Always Sam Adams on tap, salads are basic, garlic knots are great to settle hungry kids down quickly. We order our pizza well-done; which is a NY thing. The help is/are local high school kids and very laid back — We love this place — it’s our local pizza joint — we know what it is, and more importantly, what it isn’t.

I give this 4 stars because it is a step above chains. Always treated good. Laid back atmosphere.

Ehhhh — the dough had noticeable freezer burn and the sauce left much to be desired. The mini garlic knots started out decently, but they were served in a shallow bowl which was swimming with oil so any knots that weren’t eaten immediately soaked up all the oil which left a greasy mess. I’d recommend a pass on this place.

This was a horrible attempt at Italian food! I got the classic lasagna… bad! Greek salad… two olives on the whole thing? Really not pleased. And to top it off, the restaurant doubles as a play pen for spoiled brats to run around in, stressing you out with their dirty hands and faces! I could only muster one star and that is for my nice waiter. Just run! Should have ready fellow Unilocalers’ reviews before coming in! :/

If you go here, you must order a full pizza or calzone. Don’t order by the slice, it is basically reheated cardboard with toppings. The fresh pizza is night and day with the by the slice pizza. Service tends to be slow. Not a «go to» place for us, but when shopping up in the Highland Ranch area, it’s a good pizza option.

Not very impressed. My Calzone was just OK. Did not finish it. My girlfriend had the gluten-free pizza and it was terrible. Crust was extremely bland and hard. I lived in NY and was disappointed in the pizza and at $ 4.99 a slice, thought it was over-priced for the quality.

This place has sooo much potential. Where to start? The garlic knots are just ok. If they made them a little crispy on the outside, they might have a chance. The order we had were a little doughy and just ok. They serve them with a little marinera sauce for dipping. The sauce tastes store bought… definitely NOT house made. We tried the wings just to see what they were working with and I rarely do this but I actually sent them back. They were soft, mushy, oven baked. They tasted like wings you would buy in a freezer bag and thrown in the oven for 10 minutes. If you’re not going to fry the wings yourself and put your best effort forward, then don’t offer them on your menu. We had a calzone that was decent and a baked ziti that was average. The ziti was store bought pasta thrown in a dish with more of the stew bought sauce, cheese, and baked next to those wings. The garlic bread was the same type of bread for the sandwiches and as I peeked in the kitchen, it was store bought too. I was very excited for this place and I had high hopes. And authentic NY style place would be phenomenal in this location but the only thing they have going for them is the theme and the name that says its NY styles food. I couldn’t see myself returning here, unfortunately.

Just not very impressed and it was quite pricey. NOT worth it at all in my book, I was very disappointed. After living in New York City for several years and becoming well versed in NYC pizza culture, I can say that there is little to NO resemblance to any good NYC pizza I ever have eaten. I have eaten at all the best of the best, Di Faras, Grimaldi’s, John’s, Lombardi’s, Patsy’s, Totono’s…and after eating at these legends of Pizza I know I have been spoiled and do NOT expect to taste anything close to this level of greatness in TX. Texans like their pizza a bit different than New Yorkers its seems, and for some reason or another, no one has figured out how to make anything that holds a candle to east coast Pizza Pies like those served up in NYC or Chicago. But, hey, we have our specialities… east coast has NOTHING on our Tex-Mex or BBQ… YeeeeHaaaw Texas! ;-) With that being said, Johny Brusco’s New York Style Pizza is ANINSULT to NY Style pizza and they deserve to be STRIPPED of this misleading and very very false title. The pizza is soggy, the crust is thick and tough, and the toppings are greasy and taste cheap. Honestly, I enjoy Papa Johns or Cici’s or Little Cesars as much or more than this. I thought the inside of the place was cheap and cheesy looking too. It also took FOREVER to get our pizza and the place was not even half full. They do have lots of TVs and were playing sports, so it might be a good place to go to grab a pie and watch a game, as there are not too many pizza sports bars on this side of town. Waitress was friendly but not very helpful on making recommendations and also not very attentive.

Nothing close to NY pizza. Soggy pizza is not my thing. Maybe in some small enclave in NY, soggy pizza is really popular. The garlic knots could use more flavor infusion than just a brushing of garlic butter. Strangely, this isn’t the worst pizza I’ve had. Won’t RTE.

I am a huge pasta fan and my bf loves pizza. He got a small pizza and I got the spaghetti and we got the garlic bread. It was amazing. The sauce was extremely flavorful and the garlic bread was amazing. I could have swam in a bathtub full of it. His pizza was also really good. Would love to try more items on the menu. Service was pretty good. There was a big group with kids there and I believe only one waitress, so I understood she was busy.

Best calzone in the area. Not greasy, fresh ingredients and HUGE. The pizza slices were big too, and very delicious. The lunch menu was pretty cheap. Great for lunch, to go or eating in.

Look, New York shops are not known for great service… the pizza rules the roost. This is as close to the Bronx as you can possibly hope for in Texas. If you want excellent service go to a sit down place. You want a pie… here it is! If you are an educated pizzologist, you can specify how you like it, and you will actually get what you ask for… in Texas!
