To piggy back off my last review: I never received a bill for this visit and instead got a letter from a collections agency. I called their billing and the lady told me the clinic had in fact not sent me a statement. She also informed me that the clinic is who decides if it goes to collections. She sent the file back to the office to be looked at.
I called a couple days later to follow up and told the lady who answered the phone what was going on. She was apologetic and said they were waiting to confirm my address (I received a call in December and confirmed) and just said that it must have come back again. Sometimes they have issues with a lot of statements getting returned from the post office. I had her send me a new statement and when it arrived I immediately set up a bill pay.
With all that said… I didn’t like the doctor (obviously) and really wasn’t happy when I received a letter from a collections agency when a statement wasn’t even issued and no attempt to contact me. HOWEVER both ladies at the office and the billing department were helpful and apologetic about the billing issue.
**The lady at the office said their collections agency does not report to the credit agencies. Just make sure you get your statement.
