Florissant’s nice little secret is Yac’s. My mom was always talking about«Yac’s» for years and eventually the family all finally went there for her retirement party in 2003. Returned a decade later for my wedding renewal dinner and again this year for my hubby’s 40th birthday. With each experience, the food is delish, the service is warm, and the prices are affordable. Mom was right!(Two fer deal for $ 25 is a steal!) The chicken parm and the eggplant parm was out of this world! No wonder this establishment has been in business for eons.

Lady’s and Gentleman, Yacovelli’s is a great restaurant. The food is great at this location. I will give you an example. I do not like beet’s, believe me. This restaurant makes the best tasting beet’s. God Bless, happy dining.

Great food and great service. My husband and I usually only go on Fridays bc we loved their 10oz Ribeye special for $ 10.99 that included a side as well, but they recently just stopped that. We actually just found this out yesterday, which was Friday and was disappointed bc we had our taste buds set. Nevertheless, we still found something on the menu that was very appetizing. I had the lasagna, which was amazing and so authentic. My husband had the chicken spedini, it came highly recommended and he was very pleased, however it is small so we recommend that you get a side dish as well. Overall, this place is a total gem bc of the quality of food, service and decent prices.

Was in town to visit family and had been on the road all day. The guy at the front desk of the hotel reccomended this place for an early dinner(it was 4:30 pm local time). This is a large restaraunt, bar area, dining room, and banquet space. They obviously cater to the geriatric crowd because A) they start dinner service at 4, B) they have early bird specials C) we were the youngest couple in there by 2 generations. We both had the strip special which came with potatos, I like my steak bloody and they managed not to overcook it like so many places do. Bread and drink service was quick and friendly enough. Basically I would go back IF I was staying close to there(which we were) and if I did not feel like expending the effort to drive into St. Louis proper.

The food had a good flavor, but the service could use an improvement. The server scraped the bottom of the bowl to make a small salad. I would have been ashamed to serve something so pitiful looking. I wasn’t impressed and do not recommend it for large groups. Just my opinion… could have been so much better. Banquet rooms need to be updated; old, needs work. Not the best background if you want nice pictures. Keep looking and hopefully one day soon they will remodel.

Hard to believe that there were no reviews of this restaurant. I will focus on the fine dining side as opposed to the banquet rooms. You have the option of a table or booth depending on your mood. Water and bread are swiftly brought to the table. One nice touch is that Parmesan and olive oil are on the table to allow you to make your own dipping sauce if you so choose(we always do). The menu consists of traditional Italian fare, some nods to American traditional and some pizzas and sandwiches. Bottom line is that you can find something to fit any appetite at most any price point. In our opinion here are the standouts: Appetizers The toasted ravioli are not the pillow squares that you can by at the store. These are made in-house so they look imperfect but you can tell that they are the real deal, with lovely flavors of of sausage and spices. The house made sauce is always a lovely complement to the ravioli. Crab Rangoon are also a great way to start you meal with above average dipping sauce. Salads All the salads are great, we tend to favor the house salad or the Chef salad. The house dressing is a creamy balsamic that is amazing, though we also enjoy the ranch and blue cheese(with real blue cheese crumbles) Entrees As stated earlier, we have enjoyed everything but our particular favorites are the Steak Diane(finished table side), Filet Yacovelli, and the Capri Pork Chop. Pasta favorites are Spaghetti & Meatballs(again, house made with the lovely sauce), Pasta Filomena, and Lasagna. The salmon is always a nice fish choice. For poultry, the Chicken Marsala is amazing, perfectly cooked and presented on pasta with sauce and mushrooms. The Sunday evening fried chicken dinner is a tradition that is well worth being a part of if you need a nice family meal. Multiple specials are presented each evening that are also worth considering. Service Most of the staff has been working with the Yacovelli’s for years and treat you as part of the family. They are knowledgeable, courteous, and willing to answer any question you might have about the food or the family history. The Yacovelli’s are one of the original restaurant families in St. Louis, beginning with their first establishment in 1919. The food shows an attention to detail and has lovely flavors no matter what you order. Wine The wine list is brief but contains some nice bottles to complement your choice of entrée. They are working to expand the list and I hope to see more Italian and French selections. I would imagine almost everybody has gone to a wedding/dinner party/graduation/holiday party at Yacovelli’s, but don’t ignore the dining room, there are some gems to be had at very reasonable prices. Bön Appetit!
