What an amazing meal! We were in town for work and looking for some authentic Caribbean food. Based on reviews here, we went to this restaurant and were not at all disappointed. The conch fritters with hot sauce were AMAZING! This was followed by a wonderful main meal, with each of us trying something different. I got the snapper in sauce and my friends each tried the chicken creole and jerk chicken. The side dishes included rice, beans, a macaroni salad and fried plantains. We were all delighted with our meals and even more with the staff. Don’t expect speedy service but just relax and enjoy. The waitress and chef are incredibly enthusiastic, warm and fun. By the end, I was calling the chef«Mom» because she was chiding me on my failure to eat the head of the fish, «like we do in the Caribbean.» She stood over me training me in proper fish eating technique. They gave us a free dessert and were overall just delightful. Try this place. You will be so happy you did!

My wife and I were visiting the area and wanted to get some dinner. We saw the reviews on Unilocal and decided to check it out. I must admit that we were very skeptical because the strip mall that it is located in was empty… only a few businesses operating with the rest empty as was the parking lot… usually not a good sign but we were there and decided to «chance it’. We couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. The place was empty but the food was extraordinarily good. Very good!!! I had the oxtail and the wife had griot. We left there with full stomachs and big happy smiles. She(the owner) even let us sample some of her other specialties since it was so slow… delicious! She also recommended the sour sop smoothie which we had that was over the top. You couldn’t ask for more… great food, great friendly service and a warm atmosphere. You will not be disappointed!!!

Sooo delicious! We came at a weird time, around 14:00 and found the parking lot slightly empty. We had doubts in our minds but once we walked in, the doubts went away. The place is painted bright orange and green, very Caribbean. We ordered wings for appetizer, oxtail creole and conch creole for main dish. The 2 dipping sauces for the wings was so yummy. I think one of it was sriracha-like. The other one was a sour-spicy sauce with cabbage and other vegetables. All very delicious! I have to say i ve never had conch in my life before. It was an adventurous trail that went very successfully. The server was very friendly and the whole place made us feel very comfortable and welcoming.

Visited based on Unilocal reviews. I walked in and was created immediately. Today is Mother’s Day in the Caribbean and Ms Deana, owner, was giving away single roses to mothers and gave me one anyway which was nice. She also presented me with a slice of carrot cake(given an option of this or a chocolate cake), with a candle; such a nice gesture. Ms Deana was an awesome, welcoming and genuinely nice lady. As an owner you can tell she takes pride in her establishment and the superb quality of her food. Also, it is obvious customer satisfaction with the food and atmosphere of the restaurant was important. I order the jerk chicken, macaroni au gratin, plantains and white rice. The portion size was substantial and the flavor was spicy and delicious. The chicken was very tender, literally fell off the bone. The dish was made with fresh peppers which added to the visual appearance and the flavor. Please support local businesses and stop in and get a taste of authentic Caribbean food with great hospitality. We talked for a few mins and she even recommended places to visit in the local area. I will definitely return to this restaurant on my next trip to Miami.

My family and I first visited the restaurant during the Memorial Day weekend holiday. Thanks to a general Unilocal search for«Caribbean Restaurants»…O’Deeny’s came up and we are always down to try new places. Once we entered the restaurant, it was empty but O’Deeny came out from the back and warmly greeted us with smiles! As if we were old friends. Amazing! There were Roses on her counter and she me one and explained that it’s Mother’s Day in Haiti. What an awesome exchange! She explained that they have been opened for(4) months! I wished her well and much success and told her, «Today we will be adding to that success»…she was quite happy. We love great Haitian Food. She explained that they are a Haitian/Jamaican restaurant. So we ordered the Griot(Seasoned Fried Pork) the Creole Rice(Red Beans) and their Conch Fritters. We took the food to eat in the comfort of our home. It was delicious! Before I left, I told her I’ll be back to try her Oxtail and her Haitian Black Rice(rip djon djon). Everyone needs a Haitian friend; or go to a good Haitian restaurant to try some good Black Rice! Rice is colored and flavored from the mushroom that is only found Haiti. It’s delicious! It’s cooked with Green Peas or the Baby Lima Beans… I’ll take it either Where are you? because it’s that good! I also asked her if she sometimes add the Salad Shrimp and she said yes… I’m so in! Thank you. ***The next time I visit, I will dine in and take a lot of pics of the food to increase their food profile. And then I can review their service etc.,

My wife and I visited this Haitian Caribbean restaurant for dinner. I love to spend time in my kitchen and consider myself a good cook with sensitive taste buds. Also I’ll just mention that almost all our dinners are cooked at home and for many good reasons. As ALL reviews reported, this relatively new place is the closest to real Home Cooking. We were treated by the Owner –Dina and her sister as family. The menu lists a relatively short list of Homemade cooked items. However each one is delivered to your table as if it was prepared by your Mom. While waiting for our order to come, we were given a free sample of their Meatballs which were freshly fried, juicy and delicately seasoned, Yammmy ! We had jerky Chicken and Ox tail in tomato creole sauce, which is superb, although could have benefited from another hour or two of cooking, so the meat would come off the tail bones easier. Both were delicious and the fried plantain was especially delicious. The jerk Chicken came as two pieces of thighs and one drumstick. The Ox tail portion was a little small and was made mainly of bare bones. My only complaint is too much vinegar used in the Jerk Chicken and vegetables, too acidic to my taste. We made a mistake by not asking what is the Soup of the Day. They had Beef Feet Soup. My all time favorite !!! And it happens to be one of the healthiest elixir/soup there is, with all that bone marrow and cartilage. I just hope they simmer it overnight. I would have loved to compare their seasoning to mine. Well, we’ll have to wait until next time. Which will be soon ! Prices are Very reasonable and the service is very friendly. We’re very glad we found this almost Hole in the Wall, thanks to Unilocal members. So give them a visit and support a restaurant you’ll definitely want to stay in business.

Ordered oxtail and jerk chicken with black beans, rice and plantain. The food was excellent. Beware if you use , they said they were only allowed to use one per month(for the entire restaurant, not the individual) I suspect they don’t know how works.

We just had dinner and are back in our motel room. I wish I was still eating dinner it was that good. The staff welcomed us and made us comfortable immediately. The appetizer sampler plate was delicious and perfect for the three of us, it included conch fritters which were the best! Entrees included(and I tasted all three) jerk chicken, conch creole, and meatballs. The jerk was so rich in flavor, the meatballs were light and super flavorful, and the conch was tender in a fresh creole sauce. I would definitely eat here again. Thank you for your hospitality!

We were interested in trying local. That’s part of the fun of traveling! We chose O’Deeny’s. It just happened to be Haitian Flag Day and they were setting up for a party. The food was really good! Very friendly staff, too! The chicken with creole sauce is excellent as was the fried pork. The snapper is also very tasty, but heads up, it the whole fish, in case you have issues with bones. Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area!

Twice I’ve had the porkchop lunch special. It’s super reasonable price wise. Comes with macaroni salad, rice and beans and deep-fried Porkchop. The spicy pickle relish stuff is awesome. They brought out a little cup of the stew juice to put in my rice. It was just perfect for lunch and prepared fresh. The lunch special seems to be daily either chicken or pork. If you’re going to do it regularly it’s probably better to call ahead. Regular menu items aren’t badly priced. I’m looking to go back for possibly oxtail. The owners are super nice. The restaurant is very simple, straightforward. nothing fancy, just good food. Relaxing change in homestead area for me.

Awesome food! Very authentic. Be patient takes time to cook fresh food. We had the jerk chicken and the curry chicken. Both were the best we have ever tasted. The fried plantains were outstanding! They even have soursop shakes!
