Springhill Suites by Marriott

Perfect hotel for a night it was clean and they had breakfast in the morning. I arrived at breakfast room 15 minutes late and food was still there. I also liked that the town around the hotel wasn’t deserted, there is also a 24hr Walmart supercenter nearby.

A very nice clean hotel. Traveling north during the holidays was a nice respite.
Staff was very friendly. Several chain restaurants within walking distance.

Is it just me or is the I-​95 corridor in SC a total wasteland? I’d love to just blast through the state, but my last couple of trips, I’ve hit a wall and had to grab a hotel room. I can’t tell when this hotel was built; it looks newish, but the elevators and rooms are starting to show a little wear. Overall, the price is right, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the staff has been fairly friendly. They also put out a fairly extensive breakfast buffet… it’s not even as good as Denny’s, but if you’re traveling with a family of four, it’ll save you forty dollars. If you’re traveling by yourself, do as I do, and go spend the four dollars on an egg McMuffin value meal.
The fitness center here is decent. Unlike most hotel gyms, all the equipment actually worked.

I had a great hotel experience here last night. The pool area is nice, the hot tub is the perfect temperature, and there were plenty of towels. The lobby area was nice, clean, and had friendly, helpful staff. The room had an open layout, with a kitchenette, a spacious living area with a desk, a comfy couch, and a sink outside of the bathroom. The beds are very home-​like, and there is ample space for plugging things in, or storing clothes. The breakfast wasn’t fantastic, but it was good enough, consisting of meats and cheeses, grits, oatmeal, a breakfast meat, and some breakfast breads… more continental than full, but pretty good nonetheless. Anyway, between the friendly staff, attractive facility, and slightly modern, spacious rooms, I had the best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time. Best adequately priced place in Florence.

Great for business travelers or families. Nice large room with sitting area, desk, free wifi and comfy bed. There is a little kitchenette with microwave and frig. They sell frozen dinners in the lobby and have a nice assortment of wine, snacks and necessities. Front desk staff friendly, efficient and professional. Booked using Trip Adviser and compared rates through various search engines. Was disappointed when checking in — overheard heard another guest receiving a $ 99 rate — I paid $ 144 on-​line. Asked the Receptionist about this later after returning from dinner — she said he was a government employee. She didn’t offer information on discounts to see if we would be eligible for additional discounts and seemed uncomfortable, so I dropped it. The breakfast bar is open to all guests and is very nice. The attendant was present and keeping things tidy and replenished. She was wearing gloves and the area was very clean. She was approachable but busy with her work and not chatting up guests and distracted — which I commend. The décor is charming and modern, bright and clean and very utilitarian. Computer and printer set up near bright open windows. Nice big sofa area. Comp coffee and cookies available all day, it appears. Suggestion: The bath tub could use a little freshening up. It was clean but has not aged well — there was a ring and some gray staining on the tub mat. No doubt clean but gives the wrong impression.

The thing I loved most about this hotel hands down was the breakfast. My son has a gluten allergy and I wasn’t sure what we would find come morning. They had a great breakfast buffet and the eating area is also wide open and bright! Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs with diced ham, turkey sausages, and seasoned diced potatoes, cereals, muffins, breads like banana bread & zucchini bread, fresh fruit, and a waffle maker. The eggs, sausage, & potatoes made it nice for my boy.
Another great perk was the outdoor pool!!! It looked clean and I wish I had remembered to bring my kids swim trunks with us! I’m going to remember this for our next stay when we make a trip up north. I don’t like indoor pools because the chlorine and chemical levels are insanely high, and normally you can’t stand to be in them too long before your eyes feel like they’re on fire and you’re ready to vomit from breathing it all in. This pool looked fantastic.
The only thing that holds me back from giving it 5 stars was the shower, which looked like it may have had some
Mold growing in it at one point. You could still see tracks, which makes me cringe a little. Also our pillows were really puffy and almost rounded in shape, probably due to all the washing and drying, so they weren’t the most comfortable. But hey– I lived. I would likely choose this place over the Holiday inn Express up the street.
Also, a lot of near by amenities! A mall, Chuck E Cheese, Chick-​Fil-​A, Target, Mellow Mushroom, Home Depot, a nice movie theater, Brewsters ice cream… It’s a good place to stop off of 95.

How many amazing things can I say about this hotel? Everything was perfect.
I only had one small complaint and that was just that they do not offer the «make your own waffle» service on weekdays. Fortunately, an extremely nice hotel worker saw my daughter’s sad expression at the realization that there would be no waffles, and she went next door to another hotel and came back with a beautiful waffle just for my daughter. That was beyond the call of duty and so appreciated.
I absolutely recommend a stay at this hotel. It is immaculately clean, spacious room, all the amenities a small traveling family needs, nice swimming pool and hot tub, and beyond friendly staff. I will stay at this hotel again.

I love this hotel! Consistent, clean, friendly, helpful, comfortable, quite, convenient what more can I say. We stay here every year on our annual road trip to Florida from Delaware. I do not have to look anywhere else they have exactly what I want.
