Finally!!! A REAL Japanese restaurant!!! The interior design was stunning, and the food was really delicious. This is totally what a Japanese restaurant should be like. Wonderful!

Went in for sushi with coworkers on lunch. Went early to beat the crowd and was impressed with how fast we got our food. If you go around 12:30−1 expect it to be busier. Used fresh tuna steak in their spicy tuna roll which was nice. Had a lot of reasonably priced lunch specials with a great bento box. Hoping to check out their dinner menu soon!

Although I’m a Northern KY native, and a big fan of sushi and Japanese food, this is my first time eating at Miyoshi. Man have I been denying myself! This place is simply legit. The Japanese food is truly authentic — which is very apparent by the sheer number of Japanese diners — a great sign that we were in the right place! After informing our server that I am an adventurous eater, at his suggestion I ordered the Chirashi Zushi. It’s basically(for lack of a better word!) a bowl full of sashimi heaven. The chef chosen fish was some of the freshest I’ve had! The sushi rice was a great compliment and made the meal quite filling. Miso soup was included — and all for only a lunch price of $ 8. If you like Japanese, do yourself a favor and head on down to Florence Y’all :)

Best sushi & sashimi around the area by far! Great portions sizes and quality is top notch. Restaurant is smaller so if it’s busy you might have to wait but worth it!

Amazing food! I placed an order to go tonight. It was quick service the staff was helpful and friendly! The Special Crunchy Hawaiian Roll is to die for! Will be back again to taste more of the menu.

Absolutely loved this place. This is the closest to Japan since I’ve last visited the country 2 yrs ago. The service was kind and fast. The sushi rolls were made fresh. And my Entrée for the night was the Katsu Ju which was very delicious and definitely took me back to Japan. Thank you for giving me the chance to reminisce.

Discovered this gem from a friend’s review. It is a bit far from where we live, but nonetheless my fiancée and I made the journey. The décor and ambiance were pleasant & inviting. The hostess greeted us immediately and seated us right away, as it was not busy. The appetizers, duck liver and edamame were delicious and an excellent segue to our main dishes. We weren’t overly impressed with the selection of hot entrees, but we were there for the sushi anyways. I was delighted to hear that they not only had otoro, but also uni. I am always finding these items absent from the current menus or have bad timing with them being out of stock. The rolls we ordered were expertly prepared as well. The only improvement I can see would be to serve authentic ground wasabi instead of green horseradish. I would definitely recommend sushi lovers in the tri-state area to try out Miyoshi.

Daaanng. This place knows how to make Japanese food and because of the lack of authentic Japanese restaurants in Cincinnati, I did not know what authentic tasted like until my friend took me here! And I mean Japanese food that is not sushi. Even our waitress who was clearly not Japanese was speaking fluent Japanese to one of the customers. impressive! Lol. She also treated us very well that night. The restaurant itself was very intimate and elegant, but could also be a casual spot for lunch or a dinner date. I have been on the hunt for good quality ramen in the area and all have wronged me, so I gave it a try here. It was soo goood! It was very flavorful and it came with salty bamboo shoots, one-half of a seasoned boiled egg(wish it were two halves. hehe), cooked bean sprouts, a sheet of very fresh nori seaweed, 2 slices of flavorful pork, and scallions. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I also appreciated how hot it was without getting to the point of burning my tongue. Definitely best ramen I’ve had in the area. sorry, Cincy. My friend got one of the rice porridge dishes, which was also excellent. Everything that we saw being served at other tables looked delicious too, such as sushi and various appetizers. This is a bit of a drive from me, but I would not hesitate to come back and try other items on their menu! In fact, I am excited to come back. Please please please come here if you want authentic Japanese food!

Positives: Legit Japanese food. Lunch prices are very reasonable. Generally in the $ 8 to $ 10 range. Quality of the food is consistently good. Location is right off of interstate 75, so that is convenient if you are frequently head up and down it like I do. I’ve always found the service and ambiance to be good. Negatives: Portions are like you’d see in Japan, so a bit smaller than you might expect. Everything I’ve had here has been very good, but not great. Haven’t fallen in love with any single dish yet. Summary: Very good, authentic Japanese restaurant. Definitely worth a stop.

I ordered grilled eel over rice, it’s not cheap, but it’s expensive for a reason. Best eel rice I have ever tried. Also, great service!

Shut the front door! This place is hands down — the best Japanese restaurant in Northern Kentucky, no Greater Cincinnati. This is confirmed by the presence of Toyota executives(Read they’re from Japan) on a daily basis. Every single dish is prepared with care, whether it’s sushi, tempura, soba or teriyaki everything across-the-board is consistently amazing. I also like the very simple design and ambience of this place.

Very authentic Japanese and sushi restaurant located near the airport. If you are picking up or dropping off, visiting Toyota or staying in one of the nearby hotels, you should definitely check this place out. The food is top notch, especially the specialty rolls. Jo An has similar food qyality, but this place had a better lunch menu and much better service. They have two private rooms, so this would be a good choice for parties or groups. Awesome date place, too.

After recently giving up on Asian/Japanese restaurants north of the Ohio river, we finally ventured down to the Florence area and gave Miyoshi a try after reading the glowing reviews. We’ve only been here for lunch(twice now) but this has now become one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat in the tri-state. The lunch prices are exceptionally reasonable and the portions and quality make that price even better. My wife loves their salted salmon and I have been ordering the terriyaki salmon bento box with(2) pieces of nigiri yellowtail on the side. Both come with soup and salad and the lunch entrees are about $ 8 each with the nigiri running $ 3/piece if memory serves. So far everything has been exceptional — the service has always been friendly and attentive and the place is impeccably clean. We recently struck out at a normal favorite of ours in the Hyde Park area and kicked ourselves for not driving the extra 10 miles down to Florence. Even though it is a 70 mile roundtrip drive from our home to Miyoshi the overall experience is worth it to us. Definitely worth a try!

Quick Review: A wide selection of Japanese cuisine, and also a solid selection of fresh sushi. It’s a bit unfair comparing this sushi restaurant to ones I’ve been in larger metropolitan areas, you have to cater to your audience and palettes are much more expansive with a larger population. That being said, this place was a very nice restaurant and hit the major points of a good sushi restaurant. As a japanese restaurant, they’ve got a very impressive variety of japanese dishes. There won’t be a shortage of options to try and has a little bit of something for every palette, from the very adventurous to the less so… Craving the sushi we stuck to just that and the sashimi. The fish was quite good, nicely selected and generously proportioned. It was pretty fresh and definitely not on the ehh side of things. The ambiance of the restaurant is upscale and contemporary, great for a date night! As there aren’t many sushi options around the area, we’ll definitely be back here… but it will be with smiles on our faces.

This place is a bit far from me so I only come here when I have to pick someone up or drop someone off at the cog airport. i almost always order their beef noodle soup and occasionally their chirashi. the beef noodle soup is unlike any other noodle soup i had before, very unique in flavor. the serving size is fair, but i do wish they give you a little bit more. on a hungry day, i can see myself eating 1.5 of their average serving size.

I was with Japanese coworkers and they were impressed as much as I was. This is saying a lot as they don’t often speak highly of Japanese food in the US.

This may honestly be Northern Kentucky’s best restaurant. The food is very authentic(as proven by the numerous Japanese patrons that frequent there), the ambiance is wonderful and the price point is very reasonable. During our visit we had sashimi(typically the first course in a formal Japanese dinner), sushi and a very unique egg roll. The sushi and sashimi is offered with the typical California and Salmon favors as well as octopus and dragon(not quite sure what is). The egg roll is not your typical Japanese /Chinese restaurant egg roll. It’s a large piece of egg yolk with rice in the middle Overall, this has to be most authentic Japanese restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area. Everyone should try it at least once.
