Kona Ice of Boone County

I am not sure if the truck came from the branch located in Florence, KY; but it was a great place to get a sno cone. If you ever find a truck with this brand, you can be sure to pay $ 3-​$ 5 depending on whatever size you choose. $ 3.00 for regular, $ 4.00 for King Kone, and $ 5.00 for the souvenir cup that allows refills for $ 2.00, provided you bring the cup back. What is awesome about this brand is that they allow you an unlimited syrup control. This means you can try any of the top 10 flavors, whatever they may be, on the side of the truck for free. All you have to do is pay for the size of the cup and ice. I was able to try all of the flavor and they were all great. Probably will never get the chance to do that with any other sno cone vendor.

I found Kona parked Downtown during the World Choir Games and had to give it a try. They serve up three different sizes of ice in cups, then it’s up to you to add desired flavoring. I opted for the small size which was just the right amount for a mid-​afternoon treat.
Ten flavor spouts are located on the side of the food truck, right at arm level. I mixed three of my flavors into thirds of ice: Tiger’s Blood, Lime, and Pina Colada. They also had staples like Cherry, Grape, Orange, Cotton Candy and everyone’s favorite: Blue. Do be careful, though! If you put too much syrup on the ice, the cone shape will cave in. Get it just right, and you have a delectable treat for a hot summer day.
