I’m here visiting from the Seattle area, and was in need of a haircut. I was able to get an appointment with Anna, and she was an outstanding stylist. She listened to me, and cut my hair just the way I wanted it… better than my salon does back home. The staff seemed very personable, and the salon was clean and pleasant. Next time I’m in Queens, I’ll go see Anna for another haircut. Great prices too!

Anna is my go to girl! I’m loyal to my eyebrow threading expert. I was going to my previous place for 4 years but they started to change people and the place before that for 5 years. I trust very little people with my eyebrows and hair. Trying Anna was difficult for me but she listened to me and she’s great! This is my new go to for eyebrow threading. I may try hair as well and will follow up with an updated post if I do.

I got a haircut here for only $ 20, but the price varies based on your type of hair. My hair is fine and I got a simple cut. Most of the customers were there for eyebrow threading (men also come here for their eyebrows.)
The salon has a nice atmosphere with plenty of seating and huge mirrors. They have waxing services in the back. It was pretty empty for a weekday, but I assume it gets busy on the weekends.
Overall my haircut was quick and I liked it. I noticed some uneven cuts (as in she missed cutting a few strands of hair) but it’s not really a problem for me.
I would recommend this place if you live in the area. The woman (I can’t believe I forgot to ask her name) was really paying attention to what I said and cut it exactly the way I wanted.

Love this place, been going there from last 5 years. I have tried waxing, eye brows, hair and this place has never disappointed me, I really like balwinders work.

What a joke! I called then asking how much a waxing is. She told me the price. Then I asked if they double dipped. She had the nerve to say that they charge extra for no double dipping. WTF? Stay away and go to Kamals in Auburndale. Cheap price and no double dipping!

Update: As my hair grew out it was heavy on the bottom. Usually my hair is very flowy and I can wear my hair out until the next cut. I had to keep it up in a pony tail as it just didn’t flow. Back at my old hairdressers. I can’t get her to stop blowing my hair out like I just walked out of a beauty queen magazine but her haircuts grow out amazingly well, light and airy.

Ok so I NEVER write negative reviews but this needs to be brought to people’s attention! I’ve been getting my upper lip waxed for years (not at this establishment) and this was the worst and most painful upper lip wax experience I’ve ever had to date! Usually it takes 3 applications of wax to get rid of the hair on my lip (sometimes 2-​one on both sides of the lip and on right by the philtrum) this was not the case with this lady. She must have applied about 8 applications! 8!!! The first 3 she cooled off the wax but after that she applied it to me while it was burning hot. It ended up burning a part of my upper lip. She also got the wax on my nose and the hot wax also dropped onto my lips. Please AVOID this place for waxing! She also once messed up my eyebrows but it wasn’t that big of a deal.

Horrible experience. Maybe it was my fault for coming in 25 mins before closing so I’ll give them some benefit of that with 2 stars. The lady was very nice but kept dripping wax on my jeans. After the first few times I used the wax paper they seat you on to try to cover myself. Then 60% into my full arms wax on each arm, she’d keep saying it was done. Then I’d keep pointing out huge patches she never did. So every additional 10% after she kept saying it’s done now. Then in the middle of it all she takes a personal call for 5 mins and keeps doing the waxing with one hand. Basically till her boss told her to get off the phone. And then finally no cleanup, no taking the globs of leftover wax off my hands. No powder no oil. Would have given it 0 stars if possible but since the other reviews are so high I’m gonna assume this woman was a bad egg.

I used to go to the original location a few blocks away, but stopped due to a new job in a different area. However, the new place I would get my eyebrows threaded never did them as well as Balwinder. I came back today and was so thrilled with the results. My eyebrows are even, and thick with a perfect arch. I will definitely be going back !! Btw she is there fri-​tues :)

Although the salon offers male haircuts, please do not take them up on that offer. My hair came out uneven and was pretty much a disappointment. The haircut alone took almost 1 hour. My hair stylist had to take multiple phone calls and also chat with her friend/​client, who was there to dye her hair. Overall, this is a pretty unprofessional joint for men’s haircuts.
I learned my lesson though: it is a SALON after all.

I got my hair done by suzi (I think that’s her name) and she did a great job… exactly how I wanted it… and then the Indian lady did my eye brows the whole appt… wash cut blow and thread took 45min amazing job
I loved that they listened to what you wanted… the salon was clean, friendly, super warm girls…
Pricing was great I got all that for $ 30 I am def coming back again

Update: I want to let you all know that the technician I had before, no longer works at this establishment. I do get my eyebrows done here regularly by Barwinder, (not sure of the correct spelling). She is fantastic. I will be trying her out for waxing soon!

Chandni is a huge space with reasonable prices. Went in for the first time today and I will definitely come back. $ 5 for an eyebrow threading can’t be beat. She even stopped after one eyebrow to make sure that was how I liked it.

I just went and got my eyebrow and upper lip done. It was $ 8 total plus I gave 2 for tip. It was my first time trying threading. I don’t really know if I’m totally happy with it. Now that i take a closer look I still have hair left on my lip and it’s below my brows aren’t totally clean… maybe is it like that with threading? Idk. The place was clean not hard to find and the lady was nice but idk if I’ll go back and pay that amt??? But overall it was good.

Still the best ever for eyebrow threading, however it is now TWO DOLLARS to get them done. That’s worth it for me to make the trip to Queens!

Read the previous reviews and thought I’ll give this place a try… Good thing I did… Because they did a great job on my eyebrows. Best of all they were having a special where it was only $ 1.85 for eyebrows! I was paying $ 12 at the last place I was going.

I love this place!
First off, they do an amazing job with the threading. Cleanest I’ve ever had it done & for $ 5 it’s well worth it.
