Perfect if you love WISHSUBS. A wish sub has a tremendous amount of bread and an outstanding amount of lettuce but you wish there was a sufficient amount of meat in it. Tried it when it opened. … absolute mayhem and pure incompetence… Gave them one more chance… bad decision. No meat… No black olives… no sliced pickles… no potato salad… no macaroni salad… This is just a typically disappointing franchise. … No crowd at dinner time and there’s a reason why. If you want a good sub with all the extras, people that aren’t robotic, drooling, high school morons, go about one mile north on 31 to Just Subs. Never, ever, ever, ever going here again.

I had a turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato sub and thought everything tasted good and fresh. It fact I was craving it again all day today. My daughter ordered the chicken parm sub, I had a bite and thought it was quite tasty and so did she. Needless to say we’ll be back.

I like their subs a lot. In fact, I’ll go out of my way to go to Jersey Mike’s. They give you a lot of meat and the spices they add are very good. I used to be a Just Subs guy but Mike’s is much better. The employees are very friendly. I took away a star because despite being empty, the booths and the floor were dirty. Also, I wish they sold Coke products.

I went to Jersey Mikes for the first time in months. I got the number 2, which I believe is called the Jersey Shores Favorite. I got a regular size for $ 6 and some change. It was pretty small but it did satisfy me. If I had gotten a soda I probably would’ve filled up a lot quicker. It was not busy at all. It was me and another customer in there at about 8:30 at night. 16 Handles next door was PACKED though, probably because that is more of a desert time then dinner time. Something I don’t like about Jersey Mikes is that they’re told to conversate with you, and I mentioned this in my other review. I wrote that I had liked it in my other review, which I did, but honestly after a long day and trying to get dinner real quick it was annoying. I wanted her to just make my sub so I can get out but she was asking me what I do, where I’m from, etc. If I was running there for lunch during work I probably would’ve gotten annoyed. That kind of keeps me from wanting to return here because sometimes you just wanna get your food and get out. It’s none of your business what I do. Small talk is fine though. But I haven’t returned here in months prior to this because I always felt it was a little too pricy for subs. Will I return? Maybe.

So, I actually like Jersey Mike’s subs. They’re much better quality than anything you’d get at Subway or Quizno’s. They’re in a class above the other chain sandwich shops. My wife and I will usually get the Club Sub which is pretty good — turkey, ham, provolone and bacon. It’s definitely a winning combination. I like the bread here as it’s actually incredibly fresh and makes for a great sandwich. The meats are not incredibly high quality but they’re sliced fresh which is a plus. They don’t give you a ton of meat so be prepared for that. I’m actually a huge fan of the toppings as they’re super fresh and they have a nice selection. I especially like the pepper selection — they have both jalapenos and the hot pepper spread. That’s awesome. If I was rating this place strictly on the food, this place would be an easy 3 – 4 stars. They even have a decent chip selection and serve Pepsi products which I prefer. Why the 2 star review? Jersey Mike’s(not just the Flemington location but this one included) are seriously the model of inefficiency. They have one person slicing meats and all the meats and cheese are sliced fresh so imagine the back up you have. Then, they only have one person doing the toppings for the subs and they’re usually pretty slow. After that, they only have one register and I always seem to get stuck behind someone with a huge order so you’re completely stuck behind them as those items are usually keyed into the register. It makes for a long wait. The Flemington location actually has 2 slicing and toppings areas but they only keep the one open. They really need to have both areas open as it takes way too long to get a sub. They’d also be a lot quicker if they had more than one person working the toppings area. The one register is also not the best thing as many people come in here with large orders. I do want to say that it’s not just the Flemington location. But, the Flemington location is one of the only ones I’ve seen with that 2nd area but I guess they don’t always use it. I do like the food and the prices are pretty reasonable. They even have a loyalty/rewards program and all you have to do is punch in your phone number vs remembering to carry some card around. I haven’t had one but the cheesesteaks actually look pretty good here and it looks like they give you a bunch of meat.

Make sure when you call in an order that you are speaking to a competent person otherwise your order will be all messed up.

Where’s the meat? The flavor of the sub was good, the fixings were fresh, the brad was fresh. Really a tasty sub; however, not a lot of meat on the sub. Reminds me of subway. I wish there was a premio’s sub around. Now they know how to make a sub with substance and their variety is better.

This was my first visit to the sub shop which many have spoken highly about trying. We were running our annual rummage sale at our local Flemington Moose Lodge and all profits that are made from these functions are given back to our community such as our local police dept., rescue squad, hospital cancer center, etc. So when we called to have lunch ordered to be picked up for the ladies working the event that day, they offered to donate the subs to us which in turn allowed us to have that expense added to the profits at the end of the day. It’s all about paying it forward and not only were the subs delicious, the service and kindness they showed was excellent! Kudos to Jersey Mike’s and so glad we have them in our wonderful little town. :-)

Killer subs. The Chipotle Cheesesteak is awesome. Service is really good, fast and friendly. John the rewards program. Got a free regular sized sub today. My fiancée always orders the Italian and she is a jersey girl and knows her Italian hoagies. She loves Jersey Mike’s. Good new spot in Flemington.

Love their subs! We were so happy when they opened here last year. Everything about their sandwiches is fresh, delicious and better than any other around. My favorites are the turkey and the roast beef. Very fresh and good quality cold cuts. You can get your sandwich«Mike’s Way» or however you want it. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. I usually call in my order and pick up. Very convenient. Their prices are comparable to other shops. Sign up online for coupons, plus get their customer card for good deals. Update: 1÷13÷16 I usually call ahead to pick up with no problems. The last 2 times we ate in and the taste of my sub was not the same. Not sure why, but it was disappointing. Something was missing, but I ordered them the same way. Staff is nice, but I noticed a disturbing act: as one employee was dressing the subs, the lettuce that fell on the counter was scooped up and placed back into the bin. I’m sure that the counters are clean, but this didn’t look right.

I’ve lived in NJ for almost 30 years and have successfully avoided this chain all that time, until tonight. Unfortunately it looks like that will be the one and only time we try it. It’s not terrible but the quality is absolutely no better than a prepackaged sub at your local supermarket(assuming your supermarket doesn’t use Boars Head products, as that would be a significant step up). The turkey ham and bacon sub was mostly tasteless and the bread average. The Philly Sub was better though I think that was because the melted cheese masked the lower quality meat and the grease soaked into the bread giving it a bit of flavor. Any deli offering a name brand meat in its sandwiches would be a better choice.

Staff is super friendly and the food is great, just like the sub places ‘down the shore’.

When first opened a few months ago, had great promotions but still pricey. Now the sandwiches are very light(only a bare minimum of meats and cheeses are put on) and just not worth the money. I paid $ 16 for two minis and a regular. I did not want to embarrass the kids working there so just paid and left. Will not be going back to this sub shop :(

I have heard of Jersey Mike’s but never ate at one. I went the week they opened and was happy to see they have a vegetarian option and they also offer to provide cheese that is precut so it is not sliced on the meat slicer. We have been back a couple times since then and thankfully the lines are not as long. The staff is very friendly.

Had a chance to enjoy one of the many subs at Mike’s. Place is brand new 4⁄14. Just opened last week, and there has been a ton of foot traffic. Walked in to a staff that was friendlier than most places in Flemington. Must say that is a nice touch. Went for lunch around 12:00. Waited in a line of about 10 people — short compared to the lines that were pouring out the doors last week. I had the #7 — Turkey with Provolone«Regular» which is a ½ in the normal sub shops. I didn’t go with the full«Mike’s Way» as I am not a huge fan of onions and black olives. Went with the lettuce and tomatoes, pickles vinegar and the«spices». I noticed the sandwich had a lot better flavors than other sandwiches I have had in other sandwich shops and or delis in Ftown. I liked the music that was on — seemed like a good mix of rock. Having ESPN on all the TVs is a great touch as well. I like to be able to catch up on the wide world of sports will eating lunch. If you are in the area — you should defiantly give Mike’s a try. If you see a long line — don’t get discouraged and run for 5 Guys next door. The wait is worth it and besides — the friendly staff at Mike’s moves you along pretty quick.
