Good but not consistent at all. It’s very hit or miss, nice people but not a place I would choose

4 Stars Shawn B, who are you kidding? Ok ok, I see you are reviewing the food which I will not be doing. What I will be doing is telling you about the most amazing strip mall bar on the planet. You got that, on. the. planet!
First off, its nicknamed Mo’Bags and I almost cried with laughter when we pulled up. Its located next to a beauty supply store. I honestly thought my friend had to run in to grab something and we would be on our way. Nope, ladies and gentleman this was our destination.
So I walk in and the dining room was closed but the bar stays open late. Its hard wood and long, like a typical bar. However when I looked to the right, Holy Deer Hunting Machine Mo’Bags! I almost cried again, this place was on fire! We spent a good $ 20 shooting deer with rifles. Welcome to NJ!
The bartender was ok after we worked out our issues. I ordered a dirty martini and he’s all, you think you can handle that. Yeah I’m fine player, hand over the drink. Then I ordered another martini, um you going to be ok? Didn’t we already cover this, I’m a professional. About 5 martinis later he’s talking with my friend saying, jesus, I thought for sure she’d be on her ass, I’ve never seen anyone handle a martini like her.
So just like pizza on principle I can only give the place three stars, hey I’m a city girl and play in the big leagues! Mo’Bags is the minors but don’t get me wrong, next time I’m in Mt. Olive you will find me killing deer with my left hand and a martini in my right, like a sexy Palin-​Bond love child!

Am I really the first person to write about how amazing this place is? Wow.
Mt Olive Bar and Grill (or MOBAR, MOBAGS, whatever you want to call it) has to be a personal favorite for a few different reasons. First of all, where else can you get a great order of Pierogies or an amazing Shepard’s Pie around here?
There is way too much I can write about MOBAR, so I’ll keep it as short as possible. The interior has an old Irish touch, the staff is friendly and relaxed. Wait time for your food is minimal, and the food is great. I’ve actually ordered a few different things here, and have never left a crumb on my plate. EVER. It’s really that good. And just wait until you try the dessert there… I only have two three words to say here: warm cookie pie.
I can’t recommend anything here, unless I could recommend the entire menu?
And it doesn’t stop with the food at MOBAR. Check out the cool bar area after work to relax with a cold one and watch the game or catch up with some friends.
If there is one place in the Flanders/​Mount Olive to stop by, you’ve found it. But hurry… it’s been said that MOBAR will be making some big changes in the near future, something more along the lines of a sports bar. Hurry now and experience the Irish comfort food only MOBAR can offer!

this place used to be fun, it’s our neighborhood bar.
management went down hill as well as the crowd, the people & some of the bartenders.
too much unnecessary drama in all aspects…
