I spent $ 11.44 for a four pack. I was overcome by the hipster atmosphere, and willingly overpaid for hard cider of assorted flavors. Never again! There’s no such thing as personal space in this itty bitty place.

Been shopping here once, sometimes twice a week for years. Yesterday I stopped in, bought a bunch of craft brew and asked if I could leave my car there. Came back to find it towed. Towing company is $ 250 richer and McGaughs is one regular customer poorer.

Apparently the whiners who run this gyp-joint didn’t like my last review and cried like little babies until Unilocal pulled it down. I suppose they don’t want people knowing how bad this place really sucks. Larissa nailed it, this place is a total rip off. I guarantee their repeat customers are spoiled little hipster d-bags who get all squishy when they hear words like porter and stout because some jerk on Portlandia said it once. The whole concept of the place goes like this– They get six packs of beer(probably at a nice cheap price when bought by the case) and then sell them as «loosies» for an exorbitant fee. Major mark up city. $ 3 for a single 12 ounce beer?! The typical six pack of Stone IPA, for example, costs $ 9.99 plus tax and bottle deposit, usually $ 11 and some change out the door. Not at this place. You are looking at $ 18 for a six pack. And the neckbeard working the counter actually had the nerve to say he’d give me an extra 10% off if I bought a whole six pack. Dude, you didn’t even have a whole sixer of Stone, so I had to mix and match, which is where it gets rapey. Some of those beers were priced at like $ 4 a single. In San Diego, some of the most expensive beer is Ballast Point Sculpin, usually selling for $ 15.99 a sixer. I shudder to think what this place is selling a six pack for. Probably in the $ 25 area like Larissa mentioned. They should be ashamed of themselves for making a mockery of the craft beer scene in Flagstaff. How is anybody supposed to learn about decent brew when you guys are busy raping your custies? It makes me sick to think you guys sleazed your way into the craft beer community with nothing else in mind except totally hosing your customers to score a few more red flannel shirts. I bet this boujy secretly swills PBR at his pad while twisting his mustache into wacky new curls that are sure to drive the other«lumberjacks» wild. If you are looking for some beer while visiting the area, just go to Safeway. They probably have the same selection for a fraction of the cost. But if the idea of getting bent over for a sixer while being condescended to appeals to your inner sense of self loathing, then by all means go to Smoke & Bottle. They have just the thing for you. Now open up and say AHHHH!!! There you go, it only hurts at first. You’ll learn to like it eventually.

Great little place for a wide selection of micro brews. Knowledge on what’s available, how it tastes and what to try is great. I didn’t get my swag even though I checked in :(

$ 25.00 for a six pack? Always a great experience sending your fiancé in for a six pack and a piece of s*** taking advantage of her. Being a local shop you would expect local treatment. Unfortunately a disrespectful, condescending, employee had the audacity to laugh in my face after asking for a refund on a transaction five minutes prior. By the way, your cigar selection is s***!

If you want want to spend $ 25 plus on a six-pack, this is the place to go! BESTPLACE to be deceived by «loyal, law-abiding» employees, and I can assure I will never return! Never have I been so disrespected and taken advantage of. For a six pack. For a local who adores Flagstaff, this shop is an blemish on Flag’s reputation.

My husband’s idea of heaven. Choices galore! Stuff we can’t get in Hawaii. Guy behind the counter was friendly. Ditto their customers. Met a couple of roller derby gals selecting some celebratory brews. Wish we knew about the 10 percent off 6-pack deal. Will go back today for a 6-pack. Headed to Utah today. Enough said.

First time in here having just moved to Flagstaff, great place! Asked for a recommendation for beers and instantly had a great local six pack in hand. Good tobacco selection on top of that? And open at 9? Yup, I’ll be coming here often!

As far as local businesses go, McGaughs Smoke and Bottle knows local and global and how to run an amazing establishment. I’ve become addicted to Founders stouts because it’s always on hand and my horizons have definitely expanded since discovering Dogfish for the first time at this business. Their selection of loose tobacco and cigars is vast and everything from affordable to top shelf. It pleases me to no end to be able to send quality cigar gifts to the important people in my life, and to enjoy one for myself on a beautiful Flagstaff evening. The owners employee some top notch people who are incredibly friendly, versed and experienced with the products, and can easily and happily chat with customers. But, by far, the owners themselves are movers and shakers in their community. They welcome you and conversations to make you feel like an old friend; they are invested in the community with constant donations, fundraising, and volunteering support; they are happy individuals who welcome dogs like family. I’m proud to have business owners like this in my community because their business is professional and personable.

The owner of this«beer mart“claims to carry an excellent selection of fine boutique cigars??? Yet, when the vice-president of Cesar Cigars, the number-one-rated boutique cigar in 2014(via Cigar & Spirits Magazine) walks into this place to introduce himself and discuss bringing in his line of cigars to this store, McGaughs owner yells at him, insults him, and tells him to get the f#€£ out of his store!!! Really!!! No one in the cigar business or customer service behaves this poorly to another person!!! This business doesn’t deserve even a 1 star rating.

My favorite place in Flagstaff to grab a stogie(or three). The humidor may be small but the cigars inside are top shelf and well humidified. The staff is always helpful and friendly and ready with a recommendation. Trust them. They’ve never steered me wrong. The only downside is parking. It’s a small building on a small corner lot, but it’s always worth driving around the block if you have to.

Pretty good, pretty good. Solid selection of pipe tobacco«imported from Nashville» to replenish your stock before pushing out to the Grand Canyon from flag for all of you adventuring rangers out there. Also included are your standard generic brands of bulk pipe smoke. Above average selection of eclectic, colorfully labeled beers if you want to fuel your inner hipster or if you have a unique favorite that you have been in search of. There is a meager selection of cigars which I did not sample, thus cannot comment on the freshness or storage of them. I will recommend this shop as an essential to any would be adventurers stopping through flag looking to replenish provisions before taking to the trails on their next outing.

I think this may be the greatest beer store I’ve ever walked into. Service attentive and quick. I’m a cancer patient about to enter bone marrow transplant. After recent treatments I don’t function like I did before(although I’m kicking this cancer’s ass and getting better than ever soon). Service mare me feel comfortable and completely delivered. The selection of beers is of genius status. Just what I’d do with a beer store. Beautiful. If you don’t know what to get, say what you’re looking for. They will deliver. If you want to quietly browse and memorize beers, that works too. Awesome experience.

Great craft beer selection from local and not-so-local breweries, good service, good deals(build your own 6 pack of 12oz bottles), nice staff. The other half of the store was a cigar shop, but we didn’t purchase anything there(however, according to my husband, they had a good selection of those too).

Stopped in while visiting the area from Las Vegas. Their Unilocal page states customers got KBS there 3 days ago, however the guy working claims he’s never even heard of it. He definitely could of came up with a different excuse. Same your time and your money if you aren’t local. Apparently they only serve their own. The only reason why I gave it a second star is because of their beer selection.

Cute place for craft beers. Although the shop is small they have a wide selection of beer. You’re able to make your own six pack at a discounted price. The guy working behind the counter offered to help then explained the six pack situation.

Split decision here. Great inventory, however, there were two dickheads in the place, one behind the counter and the other his hipster friend. We were looking for something they didn’t carry, so he suggested we walk«a mile or so» over to a head shop on Milton, who may or may not have what we needed. Smart ass. They were screwing with a drunk or crazy homeless guy across the street and wanted us gone. I hope the owner reads this. We were there Monday, 29SEP at 330pm.

Can I move within walking distance of this shop? For such a small building, a wealth of great craft beer choices await you inside, and there are discounts for purchasing 6 bottles or something, but really, once I start piling up the choices from Rogue, Firestone, etc. on the counter, my credit card starts smoldering, I start thinking about all the tasty beers that I’m going to imbibe, and I forget all about discounts. I wish I would have asked the gentleman’s name behind the counter, but I got the feeling he is the owner. He knows his beer and we had a great conversation. Mr. M was impressed with the cigar selection too. The next time we are in Flagstaff we’ll definitely be breaking the bank at McGaughs.

I love visiting McGaughs. They have a great selection, as well as staff. The primary Beer Monger is my favorite employee. He remembers what I have purchased in the past, asks me how I liked it, and gives me new recommendations based on this. I can also say«My husband/friend/relative likes these beers, what else would they like?» and get amazing results. I even got my cousin to branch out from Mike’s Hard Lemonade. I usually get the Recyclable wine brand, which is packaged locally, and the nummy, nummy Crispin. I wish they carried Mead, but also know that they have been working with distributors on this. They also have a great selection of tobacco and tobacco products, such as pipe tobacco, Nat Shermans, cloves, rolling tobacco and old man style pipes. I have noticed a few hookah’s about, so they probably have supplies for that sort of thing. Historical Note: They named the shop in homage to our old local bookshop, which used to be housed in the Patagonia shop’s location. I loved that shop, and that they care about Flagstaff’s history.
