Read the reviews and was excited to try Macy’s for their coffee and latte art taken by others. We made a detour just to come here and what a disappointment. There was no care in making their drinks. Literally the barista poured milk and foam to make a white blob on top. Coffee was not smooth and honey lemonade tasted like Country Time powder :(

Macy’s European Coffee House and Bakery is the kind of place Unilocal was invented for. I probably never would have tried this place without reading my fellow Unilocalers stellar reviews. It is your quintessential small town coffee shop that roasts its own coffee and has a wide variety of tasty breakfast items ranging from muffins to egg sandwiches. Service was extremely friendly, and there are nooks and crannies to sit for even the most discerning lap top toting student. The Mexicana was so delicious that I did not add any sweetener. Their foam designs deserve their own Unilocal page! Additionally, the pastries, while not the «best ever,» were certainly worthy. Seating was difficult for our group of four on the weekend.

Macy’s is what first made me fall in love with Flagstaff when I came to visit. First of all, the atmosphere is trendy but has a small town feel where it’s obvious that many customers are regulars.
I had yogurt with fruit and granola and it was delicious. I also very much enjoyed my cappuccino.
The baristas were great! They were friendly and efficient.
I will be excited to visit there again if I ever end up back in Flagstaff.

The line was almost out the door on the Sunday morning that we walked in, so we definitely had to wait for a table! We had part of our group order while the others hovered and waited for a spot. (My sister insisted on this place, because she loves it.) I had a delicious hot cider and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was a croissant with egg and cheese, veggies optional. I have pretty carnivorous tendencies, but I didn’t mind that the restaurant was vegetarian… everything tasted and smelled amazing. Zero complaints, minus the fact that the restaurant could probably double its size and seating and still be packed! That’s what they get for being delicious and warm.
It was also easy to find parking, which we appreciated!

Came here on our first evening in Flagstaff. The ambiance is super cozy and warm. I loved the hand lettering everywhere from the store front to interior. Inside there’s beautiful portraits throughout the shop and a homey feel. It was pretty packed for 5 in the evening.
So many good options in store. We ordered the Macy’s Special, Bohemian, giant Oreo cookie and their grilled cheese combo with chili.
Both of our coffee orders were super delicious and the giant Oreo cookie was nice to compliment. The grilled cheese combo, however, was just okay. Definitely could have gone without it.
Would love to come again to just chill and enjoy delicious coffee if ever in Flagstaff!

Very vegetarian friendly! Cute set up, and a great place to hang out and eat with friends.
I ordered the avocado BLT (with the bacon being substituted for tempeh bacon) and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend eating here

Love this place! Their lattes do not need any flavoring because the espresso is smooth and delicious by itself. I had the latte royal which does have chocolate and it was delicious. Not too sweet! I haven’t tried their food but it looks so good.

If you enjoy the type of coffee that graces the Parisian cafes and Italian coffee bars you will like this place! The espresso is strong and the cappuccinos are deliciously deductible — just like they are supposed to be!

Yeah it’s fun and funky.
I can’t comment on the coffee (never drink the stuff).
Tea drinks were just an ok selection and an ok taste.
The food menu was also just ok. I enjoyed the tofu salad and my girls liked their waffle (their original grilled cheese selection was not going to be available for ~20 minutes), but it wasn’t super exciting or memorable. The healthy selections are somewhat limited as they don’t seem to serve meat (a couple tofu choices and a couple bac’un items). We didn’t get to try the bakery items, but most of them seemed vegan/gluten-free (for good or bad).
Ok place, just didn’t really stand out.

I am a recent graduate from NAU. Each time my mom would come up to visit, we would be sure to make at least one trip to Macy’s. We absolutely loveee Macy’s! I would eat here everyday if I could afford it. The whole wheat Macy’s waffles with fruit and the double Macy’s Special is my usual order and I’m never disappointed.
The workers are always extremely cheerful and down to earth. There is seating inside and outside — seat yourself, first come. It is pet friendly. You will always see quite a few dogs there throughout the day. If you want a real Flagstaff experience, go to this hoppin’ shindig.
Tip: If you are visiting on the weekend, I would recommend arriving early. Otherwise, you will end up scrambling for a table.

I expected better, given the name– European coffee house? Should have a great brew, my capp was crap. Bakery? Extremely limited selection, featuring bagels from the spot across the street rather than anything that appeared to be made in-house.
I like that they have a community posting board outside by their patio seating, and the interior is roomy… but maybe turn on a light? Found it ridiculously dark in here in the afternoon, as in unable to read a book comfortably.

This is a fun/funky coffee shop in downtown Flag. I guess I had expected more?
The coffee was just OK, nothing special. There were numerous varieties in which to choose. I noted they had cold brew which is unique.
Food: There were numerous vegetarian options, which bodes well with my sister and me. I ordered an egg, avocado, and toast. The food was OK, and it took quite some time for the food to come out. It was super busy though.
Staff: Mostly friendly.
Seating: There’s outdoor and indoor seating. It’s rather cramped inside, especially where the line forms.

Auf unserer Rundreise durch den Westen der USA haben wir auch einen Stopp in Flagstaff gemacht. Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen haben wir dieses Café ausprobiert. Es war genauso wie in den Kommentaren beschrieben, studentischer Flair, angenehmer Kaffee Geruch, leckeres Frühstück und wirklich guter Kaffee. Wir können diese Location uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Haben uns auf der Fahrt von Flagstaff zum Monument Valley ein kleines Café gesucht, das außer Burritos und Würstchen noch was anderes zu bieten hat und haben dieses schnuckelige Plätzchen entdeckt. Gemütliches Café mit allerlei leckeren Kaffee und Kakaovariationen, toll präsentiert siehe Foto, sowie süßen Stückle in großer Auswahl.
Wer ein leckeres, süßes Frühstück oder einen Ort für den Nachmittagskaffee sucht, ist hier goldrichtig!

Wir haben eine 19-tägige Reise durch den Westen der USA gemacht. Wir
waren 4 Tage in Flagstaff und haben hier jeden Tag gefrühstückt. Es ist einfach nur zu sagen:
Best Coffee in town! (Wenn nicht sogar in der ganzen West Coast)
Der Kaffee wird im Café frisch geröstet und es duftet herrlich. Es gibt gutes Frühstück. (Waffeln lecker!) Und es ist günstig! Service gut. Qualität gut. Kaffee köstlich! Kann man besser starten?
Es kommen viele Studenten der Stadt hier her um den Tag zu beginnen. Dem entsprechend ist das Flair hier.
Es gibt auch Mittagessen, das haben wir aber nicht ausprobiert, weil wir tagsüber mit Motorrädern unterwegs waren. Abends kann man in Flagstaff auch super Essen– aber dazu mehr in meinen anderen Beiträgen.
