The food here is so delicious. If you like pulled pork, you HAVE to try the pulled pork here. You will not regret it. The patio is so perfect in the summer. On weekends, the inside of the restaurant is turned into a dance floor. It is a great time with fun music and so much dancing your shoes will wear out. Once you check this place out you won’t help but fall in love.

Stopped in to try the sister company to Beaver Creek Brewery, and we weren’t disappointed. Service was«Fer Sure», the server was prompted and helpful. The Tri-Cobb salad could have had more Tri-tip but was good. The Brew Burger was great.

I don’t normally write reviews unless some place completely stood out to me because of BOTH the exceptional service AND food(not just one of the criteria); or unless the place completely just dropped the ball on customer service and experience overall which in that case that business has no business in being in business. In this case, the service and the food were BOTH absolutely amazing. The pricing of the food is incredibly reasonable and the quality of the food is even better. Forreal though… I got the surf & turf — tri tip steak and grilled shrimp skewers with veggies and rice — this was sooo great and our waitress was extremely attentive AND super friendly AND smiled like she had nowhere better to be on an extremely busy Friday night. None the less, this place deserves 5 big fat stars and I’ll be back if I pass through Flagstaff again :) Actually, I might just marry the place.

We decided to try this place our first night in town and I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere is great on a Friday night and the wait wasn’t too bad at all for how busy they were. I got the pork plate with coleslaw and Mac & cheese. It whole plate was delicious but the Mac & cheese was homemade and absolutely wonderful. My husband got the pork plate as well but he got it with baked beans as a side and they had great flavor. The servings are generous and definitely filling. The drinks are strong, we got margaritas, and have a really good price point as well. Our waitress was really nice and kept our drinks full without them ever actually getting empty. There was a fire pit outside that was surrounded by people but there was still plenty of room to enjoy it if you wanted to. We will definitely come back when we return to flagstaff!

Sorry, didn’t like being here. Walked in and walked out. It’s a loud sports bar. Not my thing.

Lumberyard Brewing is a perfect place to stop if you are making the trek from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon South Rim. Flagstaff itself is a cool town worth stopping at but Lumberyard is even more of a reason to come by. They produce a lot of craft beer that ends up in the Phoenix area and I can see why. The brews here are GREAT. We had a Red and a Porter which were awesome. The Red is comparable to a Fat Tire except better. The food here was awesome and reasonably priced. I had the tri-tip special which was a good portion of food for $ 10. I had the cowboy beans and gravy with it and it was a nice hearty meal. My wife had the Greek Burger special and all I can say is WOW. It’s basically a burger/gyro hybrid with lamb pieces on top of a burger patty with feta cheese and tzaziki. Not only was it tasty but it was huge! Finally our daughter had the kid’s mac which was surprisingly awesome as well. One of our cheapest meals on the trip and one of the tastiest for sure. I don’t know if it is Flagstaff or Arizona in general but everyone we encountered during this trip was incredibly nice. Our server at Lumberyard probably was the best of the bunch. In addition to being incredibly friendly and attentive during our meal, he brought by a map of flagstaff and gave us a bunch of suggestions of things to do around town. This place is great, definitely drop in for some brew and good food if you are in the area.

This is a must stop when I’m in Flagstaff, the food is excellent, the beer is excellent, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is excellent. I love the Lumberyard Hefeweizen that they have on tap, creamy, wheaty and just a touch of banana flavors… MMMMMM. For some reason they don’t sell the Hefeweizen anywhere else(everybody loves IPA’s, except me) Five Stars!

I rolled into Flagstaff around 8pm on a cross country drive and was in need of dinner quickly. It’s a medium to large brew house/restaurant. I ate at the bar which was very sports bar-like and the service was pretty quick. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. I had the Vietnamese burger with the creamy red potatoes as a side. I’m not sure why it’s called Vietnamese, but it was pretty tasty. The pepper jack combined with sriracha aioli was very creamy and the vegetables provided a nice crunch and added texture. The BBQ pork flavor was mostly lost. The bolillo bun was okay but somewhat small. I would go back, especially if I were looking to have a few beers with friends.

Had the Vietnamese Burger and it was good but small in size and they didn’t really had a side that went with those asian flavors. The Mac and Cheese balls were delicious. Giving it four stars as it wasn’t my favorite place but service was great.

Enjoyed the traditional dry-rubbed wings this evening. Excellent taste including very juicy. Have them with the Cajun seasoning. IPA was also excellent. Nice balance of hops and alcohol. I will return. F

After trying out snowboarding in the morning, we were exceptionally hungry and wanting a beer. I ordered the chili cheese fries and it was huge! Very flavorful and just the right amount of spiciness. My guy had a burger with a side of mac & cheese and we both agreed it was delicious. I also tried a sample of their Porter(decent tasting, an average porter) and the Saison which I found quite tasty! My guy ordered the Red ale and we both thought it was a quality beer. We sat in the bar area and had a nice view of the mountains in a pleasant atmosphere. I would return next time I’m in town. Just a note: they do charge $ 1 per sample of their beers, and although this is unusual in my experience it is clearly stated on the menu.

Pretty empty on a Monday night and my salad came less than five minutes after I ordered it which was a nice surprise. The waiter continually asked if I wanted anything else, even when I was only halfway done my beer which was annoying. I get that they’re trying to leave sometimes but this was an hour and a half before closing, so not much excuse.

I came here for a late lunch around 2:30 with some friends, and although there was a line, we chilled out at the bar(open seating) until our number was called, which only took about 10 – 15 minutes of waiting. Our server was very friendly and helpful and made great suggestions to us as it was our first time here. I ordered their colossal atomic burrito with chili instead of chicken and pork inside. The wrap was done very well as it did not break the entire time I ate it! It was very spicy with the jalapenos inside, and I was unable to handle more than a spoonful of the spicy«ring of fire» on the side, although I greatly enjoyed the spicy taste for as long as my mouth could handle. I thought the chili mixed very well with the rice, black beans, guac, and sour cream. The side of mac n’ cheese that I also got complimented the burrito perfectly. I also really liked their Flagstaff IPA, which had a particularly unique bitter taste different from other IPAs. I would definitely come back for more drinks and to try their famous Vietnamese Burger.

That Vietnamese Burger. I started the evening off with 6 tasters(surprise, surprise) which were tasty. Then I couldn’t decide so my super awesome waiter(I’m bummed I can’t remember his name because he would most definitely be getting a shout out right now) recommended the Vietnamese Burger and the Mac n Cheese. Oh Geez. That mac is SO cheesy in the BEST way possible, but could have used some kind of additional flavor for some depth. The burger though, next level. I wasn’t expecting great things from this burger 1) Being from the Bay Area and having bomb diggity Viet food and 2) I was in Flagstaff… but this burger was awesome! I would tell anyone who goes there to definitely get this burger!

Stopped by Beaver Street Brewing Co. on my last pass through Flagstaff and decided to try Lumberyard this time. Atmosphere was 10,000 times better… big windows, lots of natural light. Service was fine. I thought the Red($ 4.50) on tap was good. The nachos($ 10) and mac & cheese balls($ 9) were bland and boring. The mac & cheese balls were served with a sweet syrupy dipping sauce… ehh. I thought it was strange that they were charging $ 1 per TASTE of beer(kept hearing waitresses explain this to surrounding tables). I’m glad I liked mine without having a taste, as it would’ve been sent right back otherwise. You’re a brewing company, allow 3 small tastes! Won’t be back.

The Lumberyard is a pretty standard brewpub, making all of the usual beers, and with a bar/restaurant ambience that we have come to recognize. It is clean and comfortable inside and the noise level is not as offputting as it sometimes can be in these establishments. Service was also friendly and helpful. So it all came down to the food and the beer. I have come to expect good beer and mediocre food from brewpubs. At Lumberyard, the beer I tried was not at all disappointing … but then neither was the food. The burger special was about as good as a burger can get, tasty, juicy, full of delicious addons. The wings were crisp and fresh, but flavorless; here you get to choose your sauces and even rub, and they obviously depend on you to apply them. I suggest a rub and a sauce — pay the extra 80 cents and be happy. The chili is all meat(no beans), but it was pretty hot despite being described as mild. Very good, but if I had known about the heat, I would have chosen different toppings. The biggest disappointment were the fries, which though clearly fresh, were soggy. Lumberyard: your oil is probably cooling off too much from overuse. One further plus here is that the menu has a greater variety of items that you might expect, and a few of the choices are truly innovative(vegetarian ceviche?!). Hint: be careful in the parking lot; the aisle is cramped and it is easy to hit something.

Beer, food, and more beer! After a long day of hiking around the Grand Canyon, nothing clenches thirst better than a couple of cold beers and the Lumberyard has plenty of that and more! They brew roughly a dozen of different beers and the food isn’t that bad either! The wings are good, and the salads even better. Our server was very personable and set us up real fast and continued to be attentive throughout. We were all happy and of course a bit tipsy at the end!

Flagstaff, A.Z. Shop and Staff This restaurant/bar is great. Right next to the train tracks so you get to see a train go about every once in a while. I went at night yo the bar section and got me a big mason jar drink. After two I was done. Haha. The sever was like any other bar nice, but had a ton to do. No real talk just what can I get you. Can’t be mad about the service because I got my drinks when I wanted them, and so did the person I went with. Drink and Experience Both drinks I got were great. I don’t remember what I got, but I remember enjoying them. The bar was packed due to it being a Saturday night, and it is a college town. Still received good service, and it was fast. I would enjoy going back during the day to try the epic food they have.

It’s a great place to check out when you are in Flagstaff, either on your way to Sedona or the Grand Canyon, or maybe you actually live in Flagstaff? It’s a great town with lots of outdoor stuff to do so I don’t blame you if you decide to move out here haha. I love the front of this restaurant, with a sign overhead and a curvy walkway that leads you to the main entrance, passing patrons sitting outdoor at the front enjoying their meals. We were seated promptly after a short 5-minute wait during lunch hours on a weekend. The hostess was very nice and placed us at a bar table next to their brewery behind the large glass window. Nothing was going on in there, but it’s cool to see these large machines. Of course, in a brewery, we liked to try a flight of beers. I don’t particularly like the taste of beer, but I have to say, they make some really good beers, from pale ale to stout. Their wings were amazing. I love how they served the wings all in dry rub style with any sauces you chose on the side. That is exactly how I think wings should be served! That way you get the crispiness and the sauce at the same time instead of having soggy skin from the drenching of the sauce. I got the shrimp po boy. Loved the shrimp, didn’t care for the rest of the sandwich… The bread was kind of bland. Good po boys are hard to come by anyway, so I should learn my lesson haha. Their burgers on the other hand was delicious though! Irish egg rolls were also yummy if you like corned beef! Great dining experience and a satisfying meal on a road trip!
