I had the Crystal Creek Club. Turkey, roast beef, ham, and bacon with lettuce, tomato, cucumber. It was awesome! It hit all the right spots. I’d come back regularly if I lived here!

It would be a mistake to disregard this place. The food is always above par, not to to mention is always at a reasonable price and the owner is a hard-working individual who cares about her customers. I have been coming here for years and I have never had a negative experience. Come here, grab a sandwich and a beer. I promise you will enjoy it.

Great sandwiches and the bread is fresh. The owner is the best baker in town. No more corporate subs for me.

Stopped enroute to Page had the bacon-egg-avocado sandwich … Was pretty good, all sandwiches are sub-marine style …

After hearing a lot of positive word of mouth, I tried it while out on a day trip from Phoenix. Maybe it was just an off-day but I was not impressed. The staff was friendly and there wasn’t a long wait but the food was mediocre at best. The meatball sandwich was cold on the inside and the sauce was watery. The french dip had a good amount of meat but the au jus was just straight beef stock(no seasoning) and really bland. They were missing several items on the menu(sausage, potato salad, macaroni salad) and the refill charge(75 cents) struck me as odd. The poor upkeep of the restaurant was also very noticeable, even the main outdoor signage was damaged. This gives the impression that the business is failing to balance their overhead-to-profit ratio and is likely on a downward slope. I walked away with the impression that a lot of the word of mouth was fueled by nostalgia and not merit based.

A friend recommended this place — so glad we came! What a cute place with great sandwiches! We had 4 in our group and all loved their food. A veggie, Crystal club & Sausage marinara– all delicious!

Ouch… I’m so bummed… A Flagstaff institution has officially«jumped the shark». I was one of Crystal Creeks first customers in the 80’s. I actually budgeted myself while in college so I could eat there almost daily… They were really one of the first places I ever ate at that had some vegetarian choices and at that time in my life I was vegetarian. I have been enthusiastically coming back for years… Got my wife hooked… Unfortunately after today’s experience we won’t be back for awhile… They changed the recipe of the Sonoran… It used to be made with Pepper Jack not Cheddar and Salsa… I should have checked the menu instead of trusting my memory of the hundred or so Sonoran Veggies I’ve had… The bread was stale and the rest of the ingredients were bland… Very little cream cheese… Mostly sprouts… I remember when they would stop selling sandwiches when the fresh bread ran out. I tried my daughters Turkey Avocado… Again, the turkey was odd tasting and the avocado was Subway like mush. The service was first rate however and for that I feel really bad about this review… But I’m hoping you’ll take this opportunity to reconsider some of the apparent changes you’ve made.

Crystal Creek continues to be the best sandwich place in Arizona… contrary to the small handful of unenthusiastic reviews here, I have never been disappointed(I’ve been a fan since 2000). Perfect place for satiating an enormous appetite after a long hike, climb, or ride… For fine dining, go elsewhere; for excellent, really large, and incredibly yummy sandwiches, don’t pass up CC!

This place is just not what it used to be. The sandwiches are bland, the bread is doughy, and nothing tasted fresh. Clam chowder was inedible. Very disappointing. Don’t waste your money. Two stars is generous.

Love, love, love their Grand Rapids sandwiches. I always order two as I no longer live there. Wish these guys would move to Colorado!

Say no to Jimmy Johns and walk across the street to Crystal Creek. This place has been around since I can remember, and always hits the spot.

Service sucked. Seemed like employees didn’t care and we’re unorganized. Soda was flat and there was a .75 charge for a refill. I thought about ordering a beer but after the 30 min wait just to put in my order I decided it was not worth it. Sandwich was ok, not excellent. For the poor service I expected an excellent sandwich, I was wrong.

Worst sandwich I’ve ever had. No flavor at all! And 75 cents for a refill?! Fuck you Crystal Creek!

Excellent quality sandwiches. Reuben with extra pickles. I will be coming back. One star off for cheese metal playing in the background and pricey refills.

Best sandwiches I’ve ever had. It’s really gone downhill the past few years. Service extremely sucked. Soda was flat because the machine was broken but didn’t warn us when ordering two drinks and two refills($ 5.30) so after finding out I couldn’t enjoy a diet soda I tried the tea. tea was foul and stale. I ask for Splenda and I get handed sugar. Then i go up to get a bottled cream soda that apparently has natural ingredients(i checked the label after and second listed is high fructose corn syrup) and actually get charged another $ 2.10 for this. What???

LOVE this place. Gotta have the Grand Rapids. Fresh bread, great ingredients, all at a decent price. Also love that you can get the Stone Arrogant Bastard in a pitcher. Anyways, go here. You won’t be disappointed.
