I frequented this place when I worked in the plaza next door. I happily discontinued after finding myself in a drive-thru argument with manager Jose one afternoon. After work one day, I decided I wanted my regular McDouble and crispy ranch snack wrap. I took a couple bites of each, and while burger and chicken were as mediocre as expected, the bun and wraps were particularly stale. So I got out of my routine and spoke up. I met manager Jose at the window, explaining that I like McD’s, I’m a regular, I’ve worked for McD’s, and I feel like the food isn’t as fresh as it should be. Clearly offended, Jose asked to see the food(already partially eaten and spit out), which I reluctantly gave him(even though a fast food golden rule is to never take customer garbage behind the counter). So I thought it was pretty gross he was examining my half eaten food with his fingers. As expected, he contended that it was fresh. He also told me he could not remake my order since I already ate some of it. This is all at the window while there are cars in a line waiting. I never get my food remade. Cars are behind me are beeping. The situation ends with me asserting loudly in front of the employees, «Do you care about your customers behind me? Why are you arguing over this? I’ve been a manager before. You need to learn that sometimes you have to swallow your pride.» These situations are frustrating for everybody, and wouldn’t happen if McDonalds would either hire competent managers or train them correctly, either/or. Jose could have been in some real trouble if I was the wrong customer. We’ve all seen those wacky Caught On Camera drive-thru videos. He’s lucky I have some patience and a little bit of sense.

They recently rebuilt this McDonald’s from the ground up. Everything is brand new, looks really nice inside, and they even have a double drive-through. But no egg in the Egg McMuffin? For shame!
