Good Mexican for the Midwest. Spices and salsa are good. I recommend the arroz con pollo if you want something simple. We frequent this place regularly because of the price and friendly service.

We are regulars here. The food is good American Mexican food. I usually get their fajitas and they are consistently good. Tonight I ordered Armando’s Pizza and it was very good. It was like a fajita stuffed between two tortillas.

Good mex for a easy price. I just had the taco salad and water so not a big meal.

Food was super mediocre American iced mexican which I’m not a huge fan of. But the service was good and fast.

Quick service, good American style Mexican, far from authentic but delicious and kid friendly. They have a groupon right now too, it made it super affordable for us and two kids! No weird looks for being a gay family.

Had dinner here on a Saturday evening and was pleased to find the place quite popular judging from the crowd; nevertheless we were seated right away. The service was good, and the chips/salsa were served immediately. The salsa was a little bland for my taste — not at all spicy — but I’m sure some people like it that way. We ordered a double order of beef and chicken fajitas which was a very large quantity for two with plenty to take home. The food was nice and hot, still sizzling. Nothing really outstanding about the flavor that would set it apart from other similar places, but it was good and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this place if you’re in the mood for Mexican food and happen to be in the area.

If you love authentic Mexican food… go somewhere else. This is low quality gut bomb grade flavorless crap.

I’ve eaten here quite a few times in the past year I’ve lived in Fishers. I am pleased with the service and the selection. I love the location(across Handel’s Ice Cream) and the parking hasn’t been a problem. The food is pretty good. As with a lot of mexican dishes, there are a lot of similarities in flavor. I usually get a big burrito with shredded chicken. The chicken is actually really tasty. It’s on the salty side, but I would definitely recommend it at least once. It tends to be dry, but in order to be able to shred chicken properly, it is probably cooked for a long time and that will dry out a breast. Yeah, it’s mostly white meat in those burritos. Mmmm. The chips and salsa are good. If you request the hot salsa, they’ll bring a nice tomatillo-esque salsa that has a molcateje(sp?) flavor — kind of smoky. So why only 3 stars, then… Well, the cheese sauce is SO over powering and in the rare case that I remember to ask them not to pour it all over my food, I am more than happy to report I’d give Riviera Maya 4 stars. But the cheese sauce comes on almost every burrito and it covers the nachos. I often think restaurants overuse sauces when their food can’t measure up to expectations. I don’t think this is the case with Riviera Maya, I just think there is a demand for the stuff. The drinks are another reason I am less inclined to give more than three stars. I feel the house margaritas could be a little better. They taste very«chemically.» Sort of artificial. As if bottom shelf tequila isn’t bad enough. Sigh. Despite the crazy cheese sauce all over anything and the questionable house margs, I’ll definitely be back — I might even spring for the top shelf marg and come back with an edit on how good those might be!

My wife and I love the food here and go here quite a bit usually around once every two to three weeks. However, this probably going to change. The last time we were there we earned enough Spot On points for a free dinner meal and decided we were going to split the fajitas for one person. The portion size is great. We ordered a few more tortilla shells and a couple of Cokes. The person serving us bought us everything when we need it. The food and service was good. However, the other servers where speaking in Spanish and kept looking at my wife and I and then laughing. Which this is the first time this had happened here and made my wife and I uncomfortable. When I went to pay for the meal and used our Spot On points(16 points, which means I have been there at least that many times) for the fajitas I was told I could not use them I had to buy two meals. To which I stated it says nothing regarding that on the Spot On machine. After a small argument that guy behind the counter said he would give it to me and acted like he was doing me a favor. Sorry, after being a loyal customer this was irritating.

Love this place! I have dined in a few times and get takeout a lot. Always good. at times the salsa is a bit watery but I’m not a huge salsa fan anyways. The guac is great and that’s my fave! I usually get the basic arroz con pollo and enjoy it here! The restaurant itself is a great atmosphere and nicely decorated.

So our food was very delightful. Margarita hit the buzz perfectly. And our waiter was hot what else could I ask for. Thank you for making my experience well worth the wait(which we didn’t even wait long, the food and drinks were within a snaps desire)

Great food and great service and very nice indoor ambience to «take you to a little place in Mexico», away from the hustle and bustle. Rather large place to seat many people, spacious tables. This place is also very CLEAN!!!

Chales this place is no bueno. The place looks legit, cool setting, nice decorations, cool art work. The food needs a lot of improvement, the salsa for the chips is way watered down, i dipped my chips maybe 3 times. On to the main dish, I ordered chilaquiles, its a tortilla based dish with salsa and meat. I only ate the chicken, and didnt even touch the tortillas it looked like they used the chips that they serve with the salsa. They failed, I dont think I will be returning return. Great customer service though.

I think most Mexican restaurants are pretty much interchangeable. Not that that’s a bad thing — I do like consistency! Because of that, I would give most Mexican restaurants 3 stars, but I had a really good experience at Riviera Maya. Our server(gosh dangit, can’t remember his name, but he was the server in the bar area) was so gall-darned friendly! He was very attentive and always came up to our table with a genuine smile. He tried to get us to order in Spanish and you could tell he was having fun. I also like the interior of Riviera Maya too. It just makes me happy. I ordered the fajita taco salad with the queso on the side and it was yummy! They gave me an entire order of queso on the side. I don’t know if that’s how much usually goes on the taco salad, but if so, they are generous! They also refilled our salsa frequently which I enjoy. Overall, I feel like this Mexican restaurant sets itself apart from the hoards of others in the surrounding area. I’d definitely go back!

Riviera Maya is a staple in my boyfriend and I’s lives! This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. We go once a week. He always orders either the Ground Beef Taco Salad or the Acapulco Chimichanga, and I always get the Arroz con Pollo. The Margaritas can’t be beat — I suggest the Peach flavored. Definitely suggest the bar for those without children on Friday and Saturday nights(it can get rather overrun with children in the main dining area). Writing this is making me want to go there right now… HIGHLY Recommend!

Met here on a Monday night with some girlfriends and were quickly seated. Our table was not cleaned off and the menus were pretty dingy. We ordered water to start and eventually made our drink orders. I opted for a beer because it looked like the margaritas were made from a mix. I tasted my friend’s and can verify that. They forgot my beer and I had to ask for it again. The chips and salsa were good. I ordered the chicken fajita quesadilla and it was ginormous. I seemed to have no problem eating all of it though! Our server did ask us if we needed separate checks so that was nice and you have to pay at the register.

I really like Riviera Maya. I went here for lunch with a few friends, one of which had her little boy with her. The server was very attentive to the little guy. The food was great. I got enchiladas, per usual for me at any Mexican restaurant. The queso was delíciouso. Didn’t have a drink this time, but tried my friends’ Margarita. It was strong and so tasty! Will definitely go back here.

I have several Mexican spots that I just keep going back to. Maya Riviera is one of them. While their margaritas are pretty standard, they’re good. Especially if you go the extra mile and add a floater of Grand Marnier. Their food is actually one of my favorites in the Indianapolis area. Start with the Mexican Chili Bowl. Maybe the Burrito Gigante and possibly throw in a beef taco or a chalupa. You won’t be disappointed.

Pretty decent place. Food was delicious. We had the pork carnitas and the carne asada burrito. The carnitas were tender and flavorful. The carne asada was seasoned perfectly. Service was good. Our sever seemed to be stretched a little thin but still gave us his undivided attention. The restaurant itself needs a little TLC. The fabric in the booths was ripped and had been taped back together, light bulbs needed replacing, etc. Just a side note, this place is LOUD. Mainly because of the unruly children running around but when it is busy there is nothing to absorb the sound.

Just found out this place is related to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, Mi Pueblo in Franklin Indiana. And just like Mi Pueb, Riviera Maya never disappoints. My coworkers and I are regulars here at lunchtime. We all love the salsa which is fresh and zippy. The chips are served warm and are tasty. Service is very fast, especially at lunch which is good otherwise we would fill up on chips and salsa. Food is excellent and servings are huge. The lunch menu is extensive and includes more variety than the average Mexican restaurant. Lunch specials are listed on the board and are a bargain. The vegetarian combos are very flavorful, I think I have tried them all. Even though I practically know the menu by heart I always have a hard time making a decision. Cheese enchiladas, veggie burrito, taco salad… I can’t even name a favorite. Rice and beans are very tasty and the queso is so thick, melty and smooth you could drink it. Someday I might.
