This has to be the second worst Wendy’s in Philadelphia(behind the location on Walnut in Center City.) How do they even stay in business? Every time I’ve visited, the food is mediocre to bad, and the service is slow. The final straw was today when I visited at noon on a Thursday and there was one register open and a line of 10 – 12 people that wasn’t moving. Do yourself a favor and skip this Wendy’s and go across the way to Chick Fil-a for great service and food.

Nice location with ample parking. The employees can be more preoccupied with gossip on occasion but that may be to steam the monotony of the job.

I used to be very impressed by the speed, accuracy and quality at this location, but over the course of the previous two years, they’ve completely fallen apart. They are still pretty fast, but I suppose that’s easy to maintain when you couldn’t care less about accuracy or quality. They have also become extremely stingy with toppings like lettuce, tomato and onion. The last three chicken sandwiches that I have bought there each had one wilted piece of lettuce and literally two small rings of an onion slice. And that’s after requesting extra onion! And the employees attitudes are horrible as well. Switching to Chic Filet from now on!

Placed an order for 104 piece nuggets and had a coupon for $ 4.99 for 4 nuggets fries and double stack burger. Since i had kids with me i asked if they could put the nuggets in the 10 piece boxes to save time. The owner, a very snobby female with a ton of jewelry on chastised the employee and explained what he was doing. «That’s not how things are done. Those are MY boxes you are wasting! «Employee told me he would have to put them in 4 piece boxes because the owner said so. My cousin wanted to approach the owner and asked her why couldn’t she couldn’t give the customer what they wanted. I got mad and then asked for freshly cooked nuggets since she had an attitude. She asked who the customer was and told the employee to tell us they were fresh. Asked for an immediate refund! Never will patronize SJM restaurants again! !!!

Boy I Couldn’t agree more with some of the comments. Staff were nice. Seemed overwhelmed at lunch time on a Friday. One person working the register is clearly not enough for. Friday at lunch but the young lady doing all the work was holding it down. The facility smells like old mop water right when you enter the south side door. Turns your stomach. Could use an update for sure. I am guessing absentee owner??? My beets? Poor Wendy would be upset at this location.

simple Sunday afternoon drive thru with 9 year old grandson turned into racial confrontation by «manager» black woman in Muslim black head covering said I had failed to order two shakes, just ordered one saying she didn’t like my attitude wanted to refuse service rather than handing me food ordered, trying to force a cash refund, finally younger worker handed food already bagged over but no receipt When realized my grandson hadn’t gotten his chicken nuggets, we came through to reorder only to have them lock windows and refuse service until we had cars backed up in drive thru finally they handed over ten chicken nuggets(no receipt) To complain to HQ you need receipt #‼

Most of the time, the fast food restaurants in Philadelphia don’t try very hard. At The South Philly Wendy’s, they don’t try even harder.

The employees here are pretty much affronted by the prospect of doing anything. They look at you when you walk up to the empty counter like you have 19 heads, roll their eyes, sigh, and ask if they can take your order, while you’re clearly still reviewing the options. Then tap impatiently and sigh some more if you take more than 10 seconds to decide what you want. The fries are always cold, the burgers toppings are slapped on haphazardly with ketchup on one corner and a pound of mayo all over. The nuggets are like ice every time I’ve had them here. Avoid. I’d rather eat at Ikea.
