U-Haul Moving & Storage of Cheltenham

These people clueless. Came in to have a hitch installed. I made the reservation weeks ago. Waited in line for 40 minutes to be told the hitch installer is not here. What is the point of a reservation?

Horrible place!!! I rented a 26′ uhaul truck online and was told to pick it up at this location. When I got there the truck wasn’t ready. They didn’t clean it out and was a complete mess. On my way back to my house I notice the cab smelled like urine!!! I call to complain and their response was they couldn’t do anything and to call the 800 number to file a complaint. The 800 wasn’t any more help either
To make matters worse. The truck broke down on our journey from philly to Ohio. The truck lost power steering and brake power…
We’ve been stranded 200 miles from our final destination for almost 24hours

While in storage in a U-​Box for 10 weeks, all of my wooden furniture – yes, all of it: 4 chairs, a table, a desk, a small bookshelf, and a bureau – was damaged.
My mover was an independent contractor with many years of experience who said that the only way all my furniture could have been damaged in this way, despite being covered in moving blankets, is if the U-​Box had been dropped.
When I confronted the manager over the phone, he said he didn’t know how this could have happened because they store everything at ground-​level. He referred me to their insurance company and didn’t once offer even a semblance of an apology about the fact that my furniture was damaged and a plastic box of my things had busted open all over the inside of the U-​Box.
Additionally, the manager got both my pick-​up and drop-​off times wrong, causing major inconvenience to me and my movers. The manager also lied about me to my mover, claiming that I had called him at 10 at night – when really I had called him at 8:15 because I hadn’t received the confirmation phone call that I was promised I would get the day before my scheduled pick-​up. (That was of course because they thought I was supposed to have picked up my U-​Box the previous weekend – but I didn’t get a confirmation call then, either! If I had, I would have corrected the date!)
In short: I would not recommend this storage facility under any circumstances. There are better, more professional, less risky options out there.
