I just had the absolute worse business experience I’ve ever had. After renting a storage unit at Devon Storage in S Philly for a few years with no problems I received a letter from UHaul saying they purchased the property. Since I’m retiring I decided to take my business tools stored there out and close the unit. I loaded my van with the tools and found a tow bar labeled UHaul inside my unit. Since it wasn’t mine I left it there. This was on 12÷31÷13. As I was driving home I received a call from the manager who identified himself as David Yogboh. He told me I didn’t completely empty my unit. I explained the tow bar wasn’t mine and it was labeled UHaul so I left it. I said since I had him on the phone could he explain to me how their equipment got into my unit since I was the only one with a key. I thought it was a fair question. He got defensive and started arguing. He started raising his voice and yelling. Since there were no tools missing and everything was already out of there I had no reason to continue that type of conversation. I hung up. Since then he has tried to charge my card 4 times. Each time adding more and more to the bill. If it wasn’t for the fact that what he’s doing is fraud it would be funny. He apparently isn’t even bright enough to realize he should have just shut up since the equipment of his found in my locker raises some serious concerns. My bank canceled that card and told me to go to the police. I can’t believe it has come to this point. STAY AWAY from this train wreck.
