My last time coming here I got the usual for my boyfriend and I but the price seemed extremely higher than usual, it was 1 am and we were hungry so we were willing to pay it but for $ 40 we could go to an actual restaurant. I asked the delivery driver if there had been a price increase because we literally get the same exact thing like twice a week and he said he just started so he didn’t know, as he was handing me my food he ripped the receipt off the bag, I asked if I could look at it or have it and he said no and left. I love munchies but I don’t love shady service. I’ll probably still come back honestly(although less frequently) because I love their burgers and at 1am there aren’t many options but they’re killing me

I am actually quite disappointed in U Got Munchies; both the quality of the food and service is quite poor. My last experience was quite negative. My boyfriend and I called in an order for take out and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. We ordered The Graduate, baked potato fries, and two milkshakes. We went in to get it and get stuck waiting another 15 minutes and the people working behind the counter spent most of that time socializing! The food ended up being pretty terrible! The bacon on my fries was burnt to a crisp to the point of being practically inedible with a small layer of American cheese(it’s supposed to come with cheddar) AND they forgot the sour cream! The burger patty ended up being extremely disproportionate in comparison to the size of the patty and tasted like rubber! The milkshakes were subpar; definitely not worth the $ 5 a piece. Overall, U Got Munchies is a pretty poorly run establishment and should take some time to reevaluate their customer service practices and make the effort to make sure what they cook actually matches up with the food descriptions on the menu. For $ 30, I expected much better. I’d rather save my money and just got to McDonalds next time!

Burgers are ok after coming back from a drunken night! I like the fact that they offer multi types of fried Oreo flavors which is different and great tasting. The burger that I had was the Locos #2 which has Doritos, onions, sour cream, cheddar and lettuce. With these topping, the Doritos where good with the burger but with the excessive amount of sour cream made the the Doritos not crunchy which ruined my experience of the burger. All and all, it’s a good place to go if you have the«Munchies» or you just want to try some interesting toppings on a burger that are good.

Take the longest time to deliver. These people need to make sure you get your food pronto — I waited 2 hours one time.

So I used to love going to u got munchies but after the last times I’ve gone I will never go back. I don’t know who runs this place but saying the food quality is hit or miss would be a total lie. Sometimes you can get one of the best burgers in philly normally though it’s a soggy over cooked disgusting mess. And after my last 2 experiences of going there i was just in shock and disbelief at their customer service. I spent 45 $ on food, waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for it. Not only was all of it wrong, as in they chargers me for doubles triples I got singles in the wrong burger but everything was cold and disgusting. Like completely inedible, all my friends threw their food out they were so pissed at me. I called them they said well there was nothing the«would» do about it that night but I could come back tomorrow and they would give me a free meal. One 10 $ meal does not make up for 45 $. And when i went back of course they said sorry I don’t know what your talking about and they wouldn’t honor they’re promise. I have 3 more stories but I don’t wanna write a novella. THESEPEOPLEAREINCOMPETENTASSHOLEWHODONTCAREATALLABOUTCUSTOMERS. Do something better with your money and throw it away. Unless you wanna roll the dice and 1⁄5 times get a really good meal.

After waiting 15 minutes for a burger and fries, dining in, I finally got the food and the fries were ice cold. The burger was decent but covered in waaaay too much onions. Workers here are pretty rude and obnoxious and seem confused and unorganized with people’s orders. Forgetful experience.

It is 10PM on a Wednesday. I attempted to call in an order 3 times; no one picked up the phone. Checked both your twitter and Facebook where your website says you will post«updates;» there was nothing saying that you were closed, so I attempted to order online, and the link said that this option was not available. How can I possibly attempt to even enjoy your food if I can’t even place an order… and if you are closed utilize your Facebook and Twitter because its a little ridiculous if you are a business that takes telephone orders and there is no explanation as to why no one can pick up on the other line when your hours are mark Wednesday 4PM to 2AM

I’ve had the food before, but ordered delivery which took over an hour and a half and the food was cold… looked like it was made when I ordered it. Won’t be ordering delivery again.

There is nothing like being drunk and eating Munchies cheese fries. Seriously… There is NOTHING like it. And if you are completely sober it’s still fun cause you are surrounded by students tripping on acid, high off weed, hyped on coke, or drunk on booze. It’s a party, and the food is still amazing!

You honestly can’t beat the food taste wise especially at 3am, but I’ve had my order messed up all but one time that I’ve eaten here. Employees are really nice and remade the food for us each time it was wrong or switched with someone else’s order, but they really need to get a handle on organization and timeliness as far as orders go. It’s the only real negative factor.

Awesome little joint with amazing food. Open late cheap and employees are great! Feel like your eating right at home.

Great food and great people! I’m never disappointed in anything that I get from this place. Highly recommended for great, cheap food on the go. It’s even better if you actually have the munchies.

The food is really good but they don’t accept diamond dollars and they’re kinda expensive. Also, read the menu carefully because I’m a vegetarian and they gave me a beef burger(but that was my bad). Overall I would definitely eat there again.

My roommates and I are if not weekly, atleast bi-weekly ordering from Munchies always sharing different things. I usually get the Tropicali Burger because I’m totally a sucker for anything with pineapple on it… lets be real. From time to time I find myself craving their fries, the seasoning they put on those puppies is probably the reason I keep going back. I’ve never had an unpleasant experience ordering both by phone or by walking in.

so far, 0⁄3 with getting my orders right this semester. having worked at a cheesesteak place in my hometown for ~2 years, this is disappointing. this place has a lot of potential, and with the revamped menu they’re on the right track with shortening wait times. however, this is temple. we’re college kids without a ton of $. I feel that they’d be better off reducing their prices, thus driving in more customers and generating a profit through that rather than the high profit margin system that they have in place currently. honesty though, they need to just get their system down first. how hard is it to cater to minor requests? substituting provolone instead of American or adding fries to a sandwich(oh and by the way, why am I paying extra for swapping something like this?!)? a side of ranch/hot sauce? come on, the customer shouldn’t be responsible for making sure their requests are taken care of. I’m sure I’ll be back in the future(the food’s still really good), but maxis is only a block away so there’s always other options. it would be nice to see this place thrive with(former temple guys run it) but as it stands I’m just not seeing it long-term.

Back a few months ago, I’d probably give this place 5 stars. U Got Munchies has always been my favorite take-out place near Temple — everything was great. My absolute favorite was the Continental Burger(a bacon cheeseburger with french toast as buns, an egg, and maple syrup), the bar fries(ground beef, jalapeño, and sour cream) and several others. I ordered from here all the time. When I heard they were closed for some renovations this summer, I was anticipating their return. I’ve ordered from them twice now since they reopened, and it just isn’t the same. They got rid of my aforementioned favorites, but everything now just seems… cheaper. I just ordered their«red eye burger»(the continental, minus the french toast) and the bun just seems very generic. I ordered a different burger a few weeks ago and it seemed cheaper and smaller also. One upside is their new option for a vegetarian black bean burger instead of a regular beef patty — I love black bean burgers so this earns a plus from me. As for their service, they’re always super quick with delivery and I love their conveniently late hours. Bottom line: still good, but not as amazing as before.

I live on the same block as U Got Munchies, and I must say, I went there quite a bit last semester, and now not so much. At first, I certainly enjoyed their fries, and the different varieties of loaded fries are always great for when I’ve got the late night… Munchies. Quite filling, and usually tasty. I can’t point to any particularly bad experiences with the food itself. However, I often found myself waiting, even upwards of ten minutes, for a simple order of plain fries, or mozzarella sticks. I don’t mean when there’s a rush on Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays at night, I’m talking when I’m one of two or three people in there. Everyone behind the counter seems to be working, but how does it still take ten minutes for a small box of fries? Several times! Unacceptable, in my opinion. Not to mention the fact that repeated trips there can get expensive. I probably would not have gone there more than once, if it was not for the Diamond Dollars included with my Temple meal plan. Even then, I found them getting depleted faster than I would have liked after a few trips. I’d rather use them to get pizza from Moxie’s, it seems more cost-effective.

This place can either cook great or inedible food. It all depends on chance, sadly. I wish they were actually dependable for a decent burger and fries. I have had a few good burgers here. I asked for medium rare and actually got it. But then I came here other times and got well done when I asked for medium rare. This is much too inconsistent for me to depend on this place. Every time I go here, they change something about their food, such as different fries, different buns, etc. I used to like their buns before, but they changed them. There is also always a crazy amount of staff, who are often not the most professional. I once ordered burger and fries here in the middle of a weekday. I got it to go, and realized too late that the fries were completely inedible. They were cooked rock-hard and salted way too much. This was really bad so I found it worth it to go back and tell them. They offered me fries again, but I got the same quality the second time! No amount of ketchup could salvage them. I couldn’t complain again because it wouldn’t do anything anyway. Were they gonna give me another serving of fries? If I am really desperate, and hopeful that I will receive a properly cooked burger, I might go here again. But the risk is not worth the price. I finally learned my lesson with the last burger I ordered. If you don’t care how your burger is cooked, then do here(but you should care). Also, never go here on a weekday, the best staff are on weekend nights.

I really wish I could give U Got Munchies 4 stars. Their food is super yummy, and I order from here every time I crave something ridiculously filling(tropicali, fries, deep fried oreo). However, service is really slow, food generally feels sloppily put together, and sometimes the food is improperly seasoned. I’m always reluctant to pay the bill too since it’s so expensive. The food is yummy, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the recipe, just the execution. It’s a little too sloppy and greasy and amateur to pay the same as I would for a BBP or 5 guys burger.
