Thien Tan

Very solid Vietnamese food with friendly service and some Chinese dishes, as well, although I have only tried the Vietnamese ones. The bun bo hue and grilled porkchop over broken rice are very flavorful and I was also very happy with the lemongrass shrimp. For phở, I still prefer Nam Phuong or Phở Ha in South Philly, but this is a great overall option for Vietnamese in the Northeast.

I’m glad this place is finally starting to get some love on Unilocal and hopefully it generates enough customers to stay open this time.
This is not a typical Phở place like Phở 75 down the street. it’s an actual Vietnamese restaurants with Chinese dishes as well. The same type of dishes that you would find in Chinatown. The last time I visited I got the porkchops peking style, while it was good it wasn’t mindblowingly good, but the menu is extensive I’m sure there are other items worth trying.
The restaurant itself is not really built for takeout but for finer dining due to its large size, but they don’t mind doing takeout even if it’s not their specialty, they would bring you a glass of ice water while you order which is a nice touch.
The dishes while not amazing, taste very solid for this part of the city and is worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood. Since that dump Phở Hoa closed down this restaurant should get some more pub, but for strictly phở, I would still prefer Phở 75.

Was in the area for a class and ate there 4 out of 5days. even had others from class come out for lunch twice as they liked it that much too.

This restaurant is really big! They have a really large menu too, with all kinds of Asian specialities including Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai/​Indian, Korean, and Japanese. I had the Pad Thai, which was just ok. The spring rolls my friend and I had to start, however, were very crispy and tasty. I probably should have gone with one of the yummy looking Vietnamese dishes they had. Oh well. There’s always next time. My friend, who is Indian, went with the chicken curry and approved. Coming from home cooked curry meals his whole life, I’d say that is a good sign for Thien Tan’s curry dishes. I would come back to try something new.

Thien Tan is very professional in food catering services for large party. We did business with TT for one of our culture shows in Drexel with more than 300 students. We really love the food and highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for the Vietnamese food catering services. Definitely we would love to work with them again in the next conferences.

Great place, excellent service and food. I have frequented this establishment many times and always left fully satisfied. They have a large menu of items for both Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines.
