By far one of the best places on campus for a breakfast bagel. Not very busy around 7 am so I got my food very quick. Fair prices, wouldn’t say the cheapest but the portion/taste is defiantly worth the $$$.

The only place that I visited weekly for breakfast/lunch during my whole time at Temple. Prices have been slowly increasing since I first started coming but it’s worth it! Lines get very long between classes so try to go during normal class times. The owner is very sweet and cares about the community.

Everything here is sooooo good. The large coffee with cream and sugar has gotten me through some tough study days. The bagel sandwiches are totally awesome, and the unique flavor combos are really well thought-out. Once I had some kind of savory fig creation and even though I don’t remember all the ingredients I still remember the taste over a year later. THATS how good it was. My only complaint is that they are cash only.

I looooove Bagel Hut because it’s delicious. Definitely one of the best breakfast/lunch places on campus. The owner is super friendly and it’s wonderful when she is the one taking orders and giving you your food. But mostly there are a few girls(I’m assuming Temple students?) who take your order and only one of them is actually friendly. Both last fall semester(2014) and this spring semester(2015), the main girls who are at the front are not friendly. Especially this semester. It really dampers the experience and makes waiting in the cold not as worth it when she doesn’t even greet you, ask you what you’d like, or not once even say thank you or smile. She literally stares at you as if your ordering is doing her a disservice. It’s really bizarre. And it’s kind of funny hearing other people waiting complain about the miserable service but I’d rather the owner herself be helping me or have someone who won’t make you feel bad for loving Bagel Hut be working. The food is so good and it’s on the way to buildings I need to be at so I keep going despite the service. If it weren’t so convenient I would not go out of my way.

I have seriously fell in love with bagel hut. My to go is everything bagel with butter and jelly. Their chicken salad is pretty good too for lunch. I also prefer their tea more than any other trucks. However, it’s a pain to wait in the cold for 10 min to get your food.

Good bagels and cheap pretzels! The line can get crazy during the morning rush but, other than Ritchie’s, you won’t find better bagels on campus.

If you can avoid going during the rush between classes and go a little before class instead, you will be rewarded with a shorter wait, and, as always, excellent coffee and NY bagels. Choose from a wide variety of bagels and spreads, including several kinds of cream cheese. You can also get cold cut sandwiches and melts, salads and snacks and a variety of cold drinks. The service is great and friendly. Be warned: the most popular bagels will sometimes sell out by lunchtime. I just wish they were open a little later!

Lines can be long in the mornings, especially in between classes but it shouldn’t take more then 10 – 15 minutes to get your order. It’s definitely something to wait for. I always get the everything bagel with cream cheese and a large coffee. Prices are fairly reasonable and the staff is friendly.

This place is a MUST for breakfast! Although I always get, plain not toasted with butter and jelly, I must deviate to try other things! I recently came here for lunch and their tuna salad is DIVINE! I have to come back and try their chicken salad! Their tea is amazing and their prices are cheap! They only accept cash and Diamond Dollars so come prepared, you will be a happy owl! pa-don’t let the long line upset you, it goes quick!

The line here is always long but rest assured it is worth the wait. These bagels cannot be beat. The smell from down the street draws you to this place. They are so fresh, so yummy. Huge variety too, of both the bagels and the cream cheese. They always have a «today’s feature» special that’s delicious and innovative. Today it was a bagel with cream cheese with cucumber and tomato. Yum. I put it on a spicy cheddar bagel. Also yum. They also offer your standard juices, coffee, and some other sandwiches.

Literally the best bagels I’ve ever had. Probably the best bagels in Philadelphia. They have a great variety of bagels spreads and sandwich combinations. The prices are totally reasonable and the people who work there are friendly and helpful; especially the woman who owns the place. There’s usually a line but it moves quickly enough. Only downside is you have to wait outside; it’s a walk up.

Bagel Hut has been a great stand/truck for my Temple years. They consistently provide a great bagel and great customer service despite the long lines. Their prices have remained relatively cheap and the quality has not suffered. For a city like Philadelphia with very little bagel options(granted outside of New York, LA, or Montréal, good bagels are non-existent), I find this one to still be the best of the bunch. I would however suggest not eating their lox. The lox, while cheap, really cheap, does not taste nearly as good as Fourth Street Delicatessen’s or Ippolito’s in South Philly. Save your money and just stick to a basic. For me, the poppy seed toasted with cream cheese is the way to go.

I really love this place. They offer wide variety of fresh bagels that are SOO tasty, and incredibly affordable. I’m 99% sure it’s ran by a family, who have this wonderful teamwork going on so even the longest lines don’t phase it. But make sure you have cash(or Diamond Dollars for TU students). My favorite: Chicken salad on spicy cheddar bagel. (The egg salad is also delicious!!! I like to switch it up every now and then. And even get both sometimes… What? Don’t judge me until your try it!) Everyone’s favorite: Veggie cream cheese on everything bagel. Each bagel takes only about a few mins to be made so don’t let the long lines keep you away. In fact, that just means how much everyone loves this place. Can’t wait for the semester to start again, JUST so I can get back to my bagel eating habits.

In the 7 or so years I spent«finishing up» my bachelors degree and going to law school at Temple, I crushed more bagels from Lena and Mel than I can count. The bagels are always fresh, there are plenty of cream cheeses and they’re all good, the sandwiches — especially the chicken salad — are awesome, and enormous(tip: get a chicken salad bagel sandwich and a second bagel onto which you can move half the salad– they give you that much). Their coffee is surprisingly good too(although the dregs that are served from most of the trucks on the block set a pretty low standard). There’s always a line here for a reason.

As a former student and current employee at Temple, I feel confident proclaiming that the Bagel Hut is my favorite place to get breakfast on campus. Even though you may need to wait a little bit in line, it’s worth it, especially because Joann and the students she has working for her are so nice you don’t mind standing in line. My favorite breakfast: everything bagel with cream cheese and bacon. Seriously. Many of you may be thinking, cream cheese AND bacon? That’s weird! But, it’s not; it’s delicious. If it’s not your thing, though, you can get another type of bagel(trust me, she’s got everything) and your choice of lunch meat, veggies, or specialty cream cheese. The pumpernickle bagel with low fat veggie is a tasty yet guilt-free option. Did I mention she’s got lox, too? Don’t forget lunch, though. The chicken salad is SOGOOD. I don’t know what’s in it, but it’s great. You can get a container of chicken salad with crackers or you can have her make you a sandwich on bread or a bagel. While you’re there, try the mocha java(coffee + hot chocolate). It’s a great compliment to your breakfast. Just thinking about it makes me want to go get something from her… Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, Joann’s got you covered. OH, and if you«like» The Bagel Hut on facebook she posts her specials daily, so you can plan your meals accordingly!

A hut that sells bagels. Super cheap and fast. The bagel hut has tons of toppings including many different types of cream cheese, sandwich toppings, hummus and veggies for vegans. A great place to stop and grab breakfast or lunch they tend to close early.

there’s always a bit of a line at bagel hut because everyone knows what i know… bagel hut is the shit. take your pick of bagel varieties and just as many cream cheese flavors to match. stick a mountain of said cream cheese on the delicious fresh bagel for a low low price. that there is the recipe for a happy Temple student(or human being in general).
