Ok, so maybe a doctor’s office that I visit weekly for six shots will never quite reach the 5-start«as good as it gets» rating. Still, I do find the people at The Asthma Center kind, professional, and willing to answer as many questions as I have. With rare exceptions, I don’t have to wait long for shots or appointment. The nurses are without a doubt friendly and welcoming, and they always go out of their way to welcome my preschooler when he accompanies me to my appointments(he’s not just tolerated, he’s loved!). Both the nurses, doctors, and receptionists are willing to answer any questions I may have. The limited hours are a downside(the hours listed on Unilocal are inaccurate), esp. when the office chooses to close early due to bad weather or when the office closes due to holidays(e.g. the office was only open one day during Thanksgiving week). I would definitely recommend anyone new to shots to make sure they choose an office that has the most convenient hours/days for them, or request to receive your shots through your primary care physician. Although we haven’t been saddled with any huge bills, the mess of insurance companies and referrals from PCPs is always there just as it seems to be in any doctor’s office. The address on the office building where The Asthma Center is housed is also well marked: a large 205 hovers over the main entrance and a friendly security guard is available to point you to the elevators, which you’ll take to the 3rd floor.

The doctors here are terrible. Expect the most cursory exam possible, while having your questions dismissed.

I go here to get repeatedly stabbed once a week. The staff are friendly but the location is a little hard to find in a nondescript building that is not marked well from the outside on Broad Street. You have to walk through a dark hallway around a corner after entering to find the elevator. If the security desk were staffed all the time this would be less sketchy but when I come on my lunch hour the security desk is 9 times out of 10 empty. The hours could be better but none of the locations have great hours. The staff are friendly and my shots are generally pain free. However going during lunch time some days they get backed up so keep that in mind if you don’t have a lot of time or are on a punch clock like me.
