The vegan pizza was very good. I got it with caramelized onions, instead of the red onions and added vegan cheese. Loved it!

Ugh. We actually had better slices in the Bourse food court. In a pizza town of Philly’s reputation I just can’t imagine this place gets any decent reviews. But it does. Crust was dry and flavorless. Very skimpy on the sauce and cheese, sauce barely even there and it was like that on all the pizzas I could see. Probably a good thing as it tasted pretty much like sweetened tomato sauce.

Pizza sucks. Never fresh. EVER. They have cold pies sitting in a window waiting for suckers like us to pay $ 4 for a slice of old reheated pizza. I’ve been here numerous times for a quick lunch. Each time I hate myself for it. Today, I thought I’d be bold and order the $ 4.32 a slice truffle mushroom and artichoke pizza. I could not taste a hint of truffle oil. I can’t come back here again.

Really good pizza. Fresh-made tomato-y sauce. And they reliably deliver.

It only seemed appropriate to order slices from Slice, so we ordered four different ones. I chose the traditional and mushroom with pepperoni, while my partner ordered the truffle pizza and a white pizza with spinach, tomato, and Ricotta cheese. The sauce was flavorful, the crust was thin and crispy, and the mushroom and pepperoni toppings were better than the typical, flimsy pieces you get at most pizza places. I tried my partner’s slices and they were fine. While I enjoyed my slices, there isn’t much to write home about. Tip: If you check-in you can a free can of soda! The ladies were pleasant and knew about the offer so don’t be afraid to ask!

I was so psyched, based on my fellow-Yelpers reviews, to try out the gluten-free crust at Slice. We made ourselves a little pizza party last Friday and had our pizza to go. I think I made a bit of a blunder in trying their Marinara(tomato pie) — I wanted something simple to try out their GF crust and really see if that tasted any good, but the tomato pie was too boring and bland. There was supposed to be shaved parmigiano reggiano that I wasn’t able to locate at all. I ended up adding my own cheese at home, and that made things a little more interesting, but I think I will try for one of their other pizzas next time. I’m not giving up on you, Slice!

Why did I have to move so close to this place? C’mon, I’m going to gain 20 pounds this month alone! This place is freaking amazing. Their pizza is seriously to die for!!! My go to… cheese pizza and the plain tomato w/out cheese. The staff is super friendly and sweet and the restaurant is clean with plenty of seating. The prices are on point too! Highly recommend!

This is a nice place to jump in and get a quick slice of pizza. The staff were SUPER personable and friendly, and the place itself is cozy. I would stop in here again.

Not all that impressed. I tried several kinds of slices, and some just had flavor combinations that sounded like they would be good, but just didn’t work out. The staff was nice, but had a touch of some attitude. I didn’t appreciate that, but you might. They are open late and quick, but finding a pizza joint in this area isn’t exactly difficult. I thought maybe I caught them on an off night so I reserved judgment and gave them another shot and ordered something a bit simpler and it was alright. Nothing terrible, but nothing special. If you come here, keep it simple. But you can also go to a bunch of different places in the area that are exactly like this, and they don’t have pepperoni with a side of snarky on the menu.

No complaints here. For $ 4 I got a slice of pizza and a can of Coke. Pizza was hot and Coke was cold. The woman behind the counter was friendly, TV to watch College Football. What’s not to like!

A solid pizza spot in the hood. Love that they have the option of whole wheat crust if you order ahead. All the slices I’ve tried have been good, the salads are above average, and the atmosphere is very«grab your slice to go or sit and hang out for a while, whatevz». My favorite pizza combo from here is pepperoni, pineapple, and artichokes. Weird, maybe, but so good.

I have mixed feeling about this place. I do enjoy their pizza. Since it was so close to me I just stopped by for slice of pizza to go. I got bacon and onion and eggplant pizza to go. Also got side salad. Salad was fresh and reasonably priced. Nothing special about their dressing but veggies were very fresh so I was happy. About pizza I thought was really delicious. Sauce was good and sweet and savory. I really enjoyed them. I made couple more trips there to grab quick pizza whenever I had craving, this place was never really busy, usually 2 – 3 customers there but my order usually took more than 10 – 15 min. I am not sure why took so long to heat up slice of pizza since they did not make it fresh when I ordered. Their service is just ok not super nice or rude. Wish they had faster service, it is deal breaker for me since I want to go there, grab my pizza and in and out fast.

Simple, casual, quick-grab pizza joint. Some reviewers here expected too much from Slice. 1) thin, crispy, crusted pizza. Made to order gluten free & whole wheat crust upon order. 2) warm and enthusiastic service. 3) the coal black chalk board menu, modern wall art décor and the giant silver spoons give a simple, comfortable atmosphere.

2 slices for lunch today were awesome! I had a Traditional slice and a slice of the Truffle pizza — Delish! I love the sweet sauce of the traditional and the blend of mushrooms, artichokes, and cheese with truffle oil — just wow! And I love how their slices are really thin too. My colleague got a grilled chicken Caesar salad and the chicken came out steaming! I don’t eat meat, but it looked great and he seemed to very much enjoy it. Great spot!

Great pizza!!! Thin crispy crust, has a nice slightly burnt crust. The buffalo chicken was incredible. The buffalo sauce is perfect and ratio of ingredients was on point. There was also a decent amount of chicken. Highly recommend.

Very good value, quite decent quality. Had a stromboli – spinach and for $ 10 I got something that was at least a foot long and stuffed with spinach and decent amount of cheese. Excellent crust quality. The stromboli comes with about 6 oz of San Marzano tomato sauce on the side for dipping – very good. Can’t get this kind of stuff down South! Friendly, efficient service. Would go back again in a flash. Didn’t try the pizza so I can’t evaluate it.

I love Slice! Perfect place to get that pizza fix. They have an amazing variety of options, both veg and non-veg, which is always a plus. The pizza itself is always good, unlike some other joints in the city. Either order from the menu or grab what is on display, it’s still fresh and good! I have even dined in because they usually have so much free seating.

Mmm Slice. I just want to start off by saying that in the city, you don’t even have enough pizza places offering slices, let alone being open at reasonable times like Slice is. I actually went to their South Philly location first for a friend’s Korean birthday. Having so many options there(any place that offers whole wheat crust is amazing in my books) intrigued me to try out their Rittenhouse location(which is conveniently located on Sansom St. aka my favorite street in the city). Even if it’s close to closing time, you’ll always fine a nicely-sized plain slice which, after heating, comes out well done(just how I like it). They’re very accommodating and give you anything you need. Seating is almost never an issue, and they have these cool glass water jugs that they conveniently keep in their fridge so you can grab water at any time. A little while ago, my co-worker tried one of the strombolis while I tried a calzone. Both of us were so satisfied with lunch that day that we almost fell asleep on the job! The tomato sauce that accompanies this is so well-made too. By the way, we got lunch this day via the $ 11 for $ 20 Groupon they had. Last time I checked, it was still there so it’s nice to know that the deal sticks around for a while. The only complaint I have is that I wish they had the whole wheat crust pizzas readily available as slices :(. Definitely give it a shot, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

I might be a bit of a pizza elitist but I was not extremely impressed with my meal here. I stopped in yesterday and ordered the mandarin orange salad, the spinach/tomato/ricotta pizza and a slice of the caramelized onion/bacon pizza. The salad was tasty and fresh but for $ 9+ I expected a little more pizzaz or cheese but overall it was good. The veggie pizza was simply okay, the ingredients seemed fresh but they were flavorless and I couldn’t taste even a hint of garlic on it which was disappointing — I wondered if it had been frozen or refrigerated most of the day. For me good crust and sauce are everything and the crust was nice and thin but was overcooked and lacked flavor. We did order red sauce on the side which was tasty but the pizza itself should have more flavor. The last item — the bacon & onion pizza — was by far the best with tons flavor and less burned crust so I would recommend that highly… my only hesitation with being a repeat customer is the price as I believe the slice was over $ 4! Overall I’d say it’s worth a visit to see if it’s your style an worth the price, but for me I’m not sure if it is.

I’m not much of a pizza person, but this pizza is exquisite. The crust was thin and crispy. Get a whole freshly made pizza. We had a goat cheese pizza and Hawaiian(I think that’s what it’s called, it had pineapple). The goat cheese pizza was soo so good. The Hawaiian pizza good, but it could have gone for more pineapple. The place is super casual and delicious. And the lady who works there was really friendly. I wish I had found this place sooner!
