I’ve eaten at this specific location at least four times and have never been disappointed. Steaks have always been spot on, and the sides are always plentiful and delicious. Service has always been impeccable and the check comes in lower then Morton’s for the same quality steaks.

I went here for restaurant week. Bottles of wine were half off on Wednesdays. The food was awesome and delicious. The waiters were on point and kept our waters full. They checked in at just the right times. However this place is closing down at the end of the month. Soo it’s good but I think you can find better steak places in the city

George is great! We were out to celebrate and we fortunate to have George as our waiter. My husband got the bone in filet and I got the poultry dish. But who cares about the food? The sides ranged from delicious to mildly crisp. But again, who cares? The main point is that George is amazing. He is an old fashioned soul with a pep in his step. He is friendly, makes small talk, and shakes hands with his patrons. When you call to make your next reservation, plan your night around George’s work schedule. You won’t regret it. We will never again eat here without George as our waiter.

For my boyfriend’s 31st birthday, I decided to take him to Ruth Chris because it’s a steakhouse and we’ve heard nothing but good reviews and it’s true. It was both our first time coming here, and overall everything was great. There was valet parking you payed for and our reservations were for 8:30, we got sat at that time as well. Our waiters were very friendly and understood it was our first time. I have to say the steak was beyond amazing! By far the best steak I’ve ever had and I’ve had my fair share. I got the side of mash potato, he got a baked potato as his side and the bread they serve you with pretty good. I forgot the names of our steaks, which were both different but they were perfect. Buttery, cooked well, not too burnt, just great. The tab was pricey, but you pay for what you get and that is excellent steak. It was a great experience, I’m actually dying to go back and I’d definitely recommend to anyone else.

The steaks cannot be beat. A bit expensive, but worth a try from everyone. Their valet make it great to park. The sides are huge and worth sharing

A bit of a tourist trap. Had a family dinner party and expected a really fantastic dinner. The staff was just ok — would have expected much better. The steaks were very good but everything else was just okay for the high prices. Will choose somewhere else next time.

This review is based on my comparison of Ruth’s with other steakhouses around Philly. Compared to other local steakhouses, 3 stars for the excellent service, decent steak, and location. The price appears to be comparable to other steakhouses around the city. For the price, if you are looking for a more romantic dinner experience, go elsewhere. This place has a modern, «hotel-ish» feel to it. I like the more elegant and classic ambiance at Butcher and Singer or Barclay Prime. We had an 11oz rare filet, seared nicely on the outside and juicy in the middle. It was a good cut and large enough to share(for those with small appetites). The Sonoma and Central Coast cabs along with the steak, made a great pairing. The sides — the sidekick to a delicious juicy steak — are just as important to a winning dining experience. At Ruth’s, you get just Batman and the dependable sidekick, Robin is no where to be found. The sides were below average. We had the asparagus and the potatoes au gratin, which tasted like my quick microwave meals after a super busy work day. Actually, my microwave meals taste a lot better than the sides. For dessert, we had the molten chocolatecake with ice cream. A delightful melting-middle chocolate fudge pudding — rich and delicious.

Was very disappointed to be informed that this resturant claimed to have a business casual dress code on a Saturday evening. Despite the reservations that were made and no obvious signs stating a required dress code.

One of my favorite places to eat. Some how the food is cooked slightly better here then Ruth’s Chris else where. But the service is not as great, still very good just not over the top like at King of Prussia. Shrimp cocktail with remoulade sauce is an absolute must every time. Besides that everything else is on point too. Parking is hard but it is CC Philly what do u expect? Just pay a couple bucks extra and valet.

Filets were perfect, lobster appetizer was great, and the Malbec was crisp. Though the sides were a little bland. All said it was a great meal.

I simply don’t like anything about Ruth’s Chris. I love steak houses and I’ve given this place the proverbial three strikes. Actually… four now that I think about it and in multiple cities. Let me be clear; I don’t like the name, the drinks, the appetizers, entrees, I don’t like the way they prepare steaks, deserts, I don’t like the room(s), service, clientele. I don’t even like the damned carpet! Thank you very much.

I bumped up my rating from 3⁄5 to 5⁄5 stars. After about 3 calls and emails, with the manager asking me what to do to make things right, I received a $ 100 gift card in the mail for the steak house. That’s right ladies and gents– because I reviewed the steak as «so-so,» now I do have the advantage of writing a food blog that is published in various publications, I got a $ 100 gift card for Ruth Chris to make it right. Any restaurant that cares enough to call me this many times just to ask how they can get things right deserves at least a gentle bump in ratings. Talk about customer service. I wish customer service at the hospital was this good. Patients would be much happier… may need to call in a consultant from Ruth Chris Steak House. The man I spoke to quickly acknowledged the fault, introduced himself, explained it would only take a few minutes of my time and the situation. He apologized and told me he would make it right. Then he thanked me for my business and begged me to come again. Guess where I’m going for dinner. And while I did get a $ 100 gift card, I’ve just been turned from a frustrated customer into a big fan of this franchise. Cheers.

Are you kidding? The field green salad had a hunk(not to be missed unless you were blind) since it was a quarter of the core of iceberg. Not really a problem except there is no iceberg I fresh green salad. The salad was also thick and over dressed with vinaigrette Okay we all miss sometimes. The server justified it as it just got mixed in since the salad prep is altogether Moving on to the next course … Gumbo would be a rejected compared to real gumbo in NOLA. Stay away ! BBQ shrimp never saw a BBQ. They were undercooked to start. When they were sent back they just came back charred but nowhere near a BBQ. Sauce was bland. The date was a wreck by time the entrees came. I had veal chop Oscar. The chop was cooked well but the«Oscar» was too heavy with nutmeg?! Kudos to the pencil this asparagus. Overall not up to the Palm by any means!

We love Ruths Chris on Broad St! Delicious melt in your mouth steaks perfectly butterflied and served sizzling on the plate, large 4−5lb size lobsters cooked to perfection dipped in melted butter, and great sides too. Excellent service and food!

I always go to Ruth’s Chris in King Of Prussia, I guess it’s convenient for me to go after shopping at the mall. This is my first time at this location, it was so hard to find a parking in the city! This isn’t their fault but $ 15 for valet park, that could have been an extra cocktail coming to me . The service was good just like usual, our server was really patient with us and making suggestions. For appetizer we ordered shrimp cocktail and a Caesar salad to share. For entrees we ordered rib eye, petite filet and lamb chop. The shrimp and caesar salad were good but nothing special. The lamb chop was extremely dry, what a mistake. The rib eye and filet were also so so . we also ordered three cocktail, one of them was their special, I forgot the name of it but it was basically raspberry martini.

My husband and I went to Ruth’s Chris Steak House for a restaurant week date night on Friday and had an excellent meal and experience. We were lucky to snag a reservation but it was a little early at 6:00pm. We were seated promptly at a booth by the bar. We’ve eaten here before and were hoping to sit in the dining room. Luckily they were able to move us to another table not in the bar. We started with a nice bottle of Sileni Gooseberry Sauvignon Blanc. I’d recommend it for any Sauv Blanc fan. For our appetizers, I went with the lobster bisque and my husband went with the salad. I know it’s restaurant week but the portions were really tiny. My little soup cup only had one medium piece of lobster in it. The bisque was tasty though. It was creamy just a slight bitterness. According to my husband, his salad was small and wasn’t anything special. But the appetizers weren’t why we were there. We went for the steak! We both ordered the 8 ounce fillet which was cooked to medium rare perfection. The plate came out steaming and you could hear and see the sizzle. The outside of the steak was slightly thicker and had an extra seasoning from the inside. This was the quintessential, melt in your mouth type of meat. I had the creamed spinach as my side and thought the portion was pretty hearty. It was creamy and enjoyable. My husband went with the garlic mashed potatoes which were pretty tasty as well. So the service was everything one would want from a steakhouse. Upon ordering, we were asked if we were celebrating anything special. In addition to date night, we were out for my husbands birthday. When it came time for dessert, his crème brûlée came out with a candle. They didn’t sing or anything cheesy. It was just a nice little acknowledgment. There was also a gentleman with a camera who took our picture and printed out a copy for us as a souvenir. The service was generally prompt, attentive and proper. The desserts were also on the smaller side but after a decent sized steak and side, that was fine by me. As mentioned, my husband went with the crème brûlée. I had the chocolate mousse. It was rich with little pieces of chocolate crumbles accentuating the flavor. The timing of our meal was another positive to note. Clearly they were pretty busy the night of our visit. We didn’t feel rushed and were able to enjoy a dining experience. They easily could have just pushed us a long. While Ruth’s Chris won’t be every day dinner trip for us, it’s a great special occasion steak house.

I really don’t love love Ruths Chris in general, but this location in particular is a bit of a let down. The service is spotty at best, and though I understand that I am still under 30, that doesn’t mean that I’m not willing to pay good money for a delicious meal. It sets me off from the beginning of a meal if servers are not attentive because they think you are young and looking for a bargain. I mean, seriously! The steaks are usually well cooked here, but they are always too buttery for my taste. I much prefer the char on steaks at Capital Grille(if I’m looking for a chain steak place). The lobster bisque is on the salty side, and the sides are usually drenched in butter or cream as well. For the price, you can get much better quality elsewhere. Like I said, I’m willing to pay for a great steak, but I want it to be a great steak. The winning feature of this location is, in fact, the location.

Friend and I came here during restaurant week because we heard it was good in other areas. The décor was a little old school was me, probably meant to attract people of the older age group. The food I had to say is a little bit too pricey for the quality. I had the lobster bisque and it was really bitter. I don’t really like to waste food, but I couldn’t stuff it down. My friend on the other hand got a salad, and that was actually quite tasty. Our entrees, which I got filet Mignon and the friend porkchops came extremely quickly– like it was rushed. The food was still sizzling on the plates when handed to us. The steak was actually pretty bland and closer to rare then medium rare. The pork chops were dry. The best thing I probably had was the crème brûlée. It was rich and tasty. Maybe the food wasn’t all that great because of the hectic restaurant week, but if you want to grab a bite before heading to the kimmel center. Look elsewhere.

My girlfriend and I had an excellent experience at Ruth’s Chris before going to the Merriam Theater to see Louis CK. You can spit from this restaurant and hit the theater(literally), so its a fantastic place to grab dinner and a drink before any shows. Location got us in the door before the show for a drink, and the awesome aroma of steaks got us back in the door for dinner after the performance. Both our bartenders and our server, Jennifer, did a fantastic job of catering to our needs and were very friendly. They asked us how the show was after the performance and were very personable. After spilling my girlfriend’s drink, the bartender was even nice enough to purchase us a replacement(I hope our tip covered the cost). Our server Jennifer did a fantastic job and stopped by several times to assist with our meals. She knew exactly what she was taking from the table to replace flatware, had excellent dinner recommendations, and was very pleasant during our visit. If you order lobster shell, they will remove the shell for you table side to add to your convenience of eating. The steaks were cooked mostly to our liking while we were there. We both ordered medium rare filet, my girlfriend’s steak was«spot on» and mine was closer to medium. We both had lobster tail and filet, but I had the«stuffed lobster tail» special and she had the regular steak and lobster meal. You sacrifice on the content for the special, so if you’re looking for volume go with the menu variety, the crab stuffing wasn’t good enough that I’d recommend the stuffed lobster over a plain lobster tail. Like any high end steakhouse, the bill can get steep. Keep in mind that all sides are el la carte, so will add to your shock when you receive the receipt. You’re paying for a high end dining experience here, so expect the price — but also expect excellent service and quality.
