Bill was friendly, patient, communicative, and knowledgeable about getting my lost key replaced in a downtown parking garage. He treated what could have been the call from hell with grace and a smile. The truck didn’t fit in the garage so he had to park it downtown, and the reception was bad so he had to wait for the computer, and it was miserably hot down there. And all because some shlomo lost the key. And *THEN* since the computer was taking so long to reset, I had to leave for an event I was speaking at, and he brought the keys to me, about 15 minutes away. BILLSAVEDTHEDAY!!!

I some how lost my car keys and called around for quotes. Pop A lock gave me the best price as I kept running into problems with other providers saying my particular key was going to be so expensive etc. Anyway, after scheduling an appointment on a Friday night for the following Saturday morning, because the technician did have to go to the dealer to get the key and programming codes, the service tech called me the morning of and arrived promptly, at the promised time. The tech asked for my ID and car registration before starting. He then worked on my lock for a couple of hours and made sure it was programmed properly. He even gave me a few tips on a problem that I was having with the electronic function of the lock. They accepted my Amex card and gave a printed as well as an e-mailed involce. All over town, I was not able to find a better price or better follow up. I will definately use Pop-A-Lock again in the future for any similar situations. They do houses too.

After a long day at the Roots Picnic music festival, down at Penn’s Landing, I realized I lost my car key. I had low battery and left my phone charger in my trunk, so I wrote down the first locksmith number I could find after a quick google search. I ended up calling, and the Pop-a-lock guys arrived promptly. They were very helpful and easy to work with; they cut me a new key on the spot, and even gave me a spare that open all the doors. I recommend them if you’re ever in a similar predicament.

Bill is hands down one of the nicest, genuine, and honest guys I’ve ever done business with. We ended up losing our keys to an older vehicle while out mountain biking, and Bill told us upfront that he was a ways away on another job, and we’d probably be able to get someone else out there sooner. Long story short, 5 hours and two no-shows later from other locksmiths, I called Bill back and he quickly agreed to rush over late at night to get us out of the predicament we were in. He has a PhD in chemistry and practiced law, and is simply taking a break to try something new, which truly makes him stand out and well above from the rest of the locksmiths in Philly that have no problem stringing you along for 4+ hours while promising to be there in ’15 minutes’.
