I’m a big fan of this place! I love the ambiance of this place with the lofted sitting area with simple wood panels with benches! This is a tiny café and your visit may involve bumping elbows with your neighbor, but it is totally worth it for the space itself! Their menu is quite extensive from caffeinated beverages to freshly prepared meals! And they recently received their liquor license, so you can pop a little bubbly while you procrastinate that paper you meant to write 2 weeks ago! The only downside is that this place is a little bit on the expensive side, but if you’re looking for a cozy place to escape the cold elements, check out this place!

Had breakfast there this morning. I had the egg white sandwhich and my BF had the Barcelona sandwich. Both were amazing and the bread was out of this world. We had to eat outside because every seat inside was taken which was the only downside because it was a bit chilly. Sandwiches are a bit pricey but totally worth it for how delicious they are.

Plenty Café is a cute little place in Rittenhouse Square. They have great coffee and espresso drinks! But beware, they’re strong too; if I drink their coffee after noon, I have trouble sleeping that night. The best part, however, are the sandwiches! The breakfast sandwiches go above and beyond the normal egg and cheese and are served all day long. My favorites are the pancetta hash and the egg white. All breakfast sandwiches come with a side salad and fruit. Definitely worth the ~$ 6 – 7 pricetag! If you aren’t feeling breakfast, check out their normal sandwiches, which are unique and bursting with flavor. The award winning New Orleans is a must try! Plenty has also recently acquired a liquor license, so order a glass of wine of a beer to pair with your meal. Overall, a great place for a low-key brunch or lunch date!

A tasty cold brew iced coffee and the New Orleans sandwich. Omg the New Orleans sandwich. SOGOOD. Plus the barista wasn’t too bad on the eyes! ;-)

My mom and I come in here a lot since we live near by. Cute atmosphere with a semi pricey selection of pastries, sandwiches, and salads. But the foods fresh and good! Pour over coffee is a little strong for me but I enjoy their lattes and specialty drinks. Only complaint is some of the staff seem a little standoff-ish… They could use some help in the costumer service department. It’s nice to be recognized as a regular and not be scorned by your barista! Ps– they just got their liquor license– 8 dollar mimosas for brunch isn’t too bad, but they will need to advertise some weekend deals to get it started!

I came in with a few girlfriends to have a cup of chai after dinner. I was a bit let down because their chai lattes are water-based :/ I was expecting a thick milky latter. Unfortunately plenty is not the place for chai lattes.

Plenty Café is a very well-maintained coffee shop tucked on Spruce. The space is rather small, but they make it work. The place is spotless and has that minimalist aesthetic everyone loves these days. I got a hot chocolate and the Jewish Apple Cake — per barista’s recommendation. I’ve never had, or even heard of a Jewish Apple Cake before this visit and it was completely amazing! I would describe it as a hearty bundt cake with slices of apple in it. The barista told us that the chef would not let anyone else bake the cake since it’s a secret family recipe — so you know it’s that good! The hot chocolate was also pretty good. The prices were affordable and pretty typical for a café. If you’re looking for a cute place to catch up a friend or study, this is the place to be!

I tend to judge every city I visit based on their coffee shops, and this one reminded me why I loved Philly so much. A cute, cozy coffee/wine shop with beautiful décor. I had their cold brew coffee(strong but flavorful) and a chocolate croissant. I wish I could have stay longer and hung out in the cute upstairs area. My friend also got their orange pistachio biscotti with her cappuccino, which were both amazing!

Definitely forgot to put plenty of smoked salmon in my breakfast sandwich. I am a hardcore breakfast person. What I eat for breakfast determines how awesome my day will be. I requested that the eggs be sunny side up. And epic fail for a sandwich that has nothing to hold it. Keep it scrambled. They give you a side of some salad which is two fingers worth, and there is absolutely nothing to hold this sandwich together… It’s a sinking ship here. But dat spiced chai tho… Was okay. Update: I returned here on 1÷3÷2015 because I believe you need to try a restaurant twice to really give an honest review. I ordered the machiatto and pesto chicken sandwich(see pics). This bumped up my review a star. One comment: the sizes of coffee and tea are pretty random, I know that most espresso drinks come in a smaller size traditionally — but I would like to know the portion before I order as I’m a caffe veteran. Pros: I revisited this place on my last day in the city and it is fine for solo visitors — you don’t need to show up with a group to eat here. There is plenty of room for single travelers.

I stopped by for a calm & quiet breakfast Saturday morning, and grabbed a window seat. After staring at the menu board for a bit, I finally decided on the Egg White Sandwich — opting for something a bit lighter. I also ordered a small drip coffee to warm myself up. Everything was delicious. The sandwich was light, really flavorful, and rich in vegetable-y & delicious goodness. It came with a small side salad and some fruit, a nice touch. The space is cozy and intimate — a perfect hideaway for a quiet Saturday morning.

Plenty is my new favorite study haven! Lofts are kind of enchanting places for me(something akin to hammocks and tree houses), and I absolutely love that Plenty has such a cute cozy little loft, one that is ideal for meeting up with friends and/or studying the afternoon away. Yes, the area is a bit small so it can be hard to find seating during the busy hours, but what decent coffee shop in the city doesn’t have the same problem? In the upstairs loft, there are a few outlets along the bench seating and the wifi is solid(current password: drinkcoffee). I loveeeee their sandwiches too. I’ve tried out a couple and my favorite is the New Orleans, comprised of the sweet fig jam, crispy green apple, and the house smoked spicy ham — an explosion of delish flavors all together! My one lament is how long I’ve been purchasing drinks/food at this place and only JUST discovered that they have punchcards… But for me, I guess it’s compensated for by being only 3 blocks away from my apartment and thus saving me commuting costs/effort. I’m happy to be the duchess here for now, and intend to keep it that way ;)

I like this place. It’s very cozy. On the quieter side so it pretty good for studying. They have outdoor seating as well so if you wanna take a date here or friend and want to talk you can. I got a cappuccino and it was pretty standard. I’m not really a coffee snob so I can’t say too much on the taste but I would come back here. It’s located in a really nice spot in CC.

Have since eaten at Plenty«plenty» of times and had to upgrade them to 5 stars. Food is always fresh and delicious. The past 2 times I’ve strayed my beloved Barcelona and have been getting the Chicken Salad: served on multiwheat bread and dressed in just a dash of mayo and dijon, I adore the addition of dried cranberries to their preparation. Heck even the plain side salad served with the sandwich is always tasty! I’m anxious to try their recently reopened Passyunk location; excited to hear about their extended menu and can’t wait to sample more Plenty!

I met a friend at this cute little café at 16th and Spruce in the early evening. I opted for a cup of tea and she had a latte. From the menu they had several food options such as sandwiches and pastries. I was heading to dinner later, so did not want to eat. The atmosphere was super cute. The café has a lofty, urban vibe with seating in the front as well as a balcony upstairs. We headed to the upstairs section which has a few people camped out on their laptops. It was a little tight, but perfect to talk and do some catching up. The service was friendly, and it is in a great location.

Awesome place! Great food, great atmosphere and delicious drinks. Ended up wandering in here and was able to get some quality study time in, but if that’s your plan, be sure to get there early as this place gets busy and understandably so. They have an awesome variety of sandwiches and drinks to make for a pleasant morning/afternoon. The setup is nice with outdoor seating, main floor and upstairs, but even still it’s not enough to satisfy the amount of customers. Food is fresh, nicely put together and served in full brunch service style. Most coffee spots are for specialty drinks that just happen to serve some food, but this is a place I would come to for both food and drinks which i think is a rarity especially for a coffee shop styled situation. There’s clearly a lot of love that goes into their menu and service, and I appreciate that. I also think the menu is perfectly priced considering the quality of the experience you get here. Highly recommend it!

Realistically, this review is a 3.5, but I don’t feel as if they deserve to be bumped up to a 4 star either. Since I am not a coffee lover, I am a frequenter of their hot chocolate. However, as this is my third visit here, I am starting to find that their service and food quality is very inconsistent. Atmosphere: 4⁄5 — very cute and cozy loft area upstairs; holds 5 tables, but can get a little cramped — more seating that is spread out downstairs as well as outside on a nice day — minus a point for spotting a mouse in their establishment :( Food/Drinks: 3⁄5 — great tasting food/drinks, but ONLY when they get it right. — hot chocolate is great. when it’s actually hot! — sandwiches — Lima($ 10): red onions are pickled onions, not raw red onions; also, make sure the chicken is actually cooked, because another patron received raw chicken! — Smoked Brisket($ 8.50): huge fan of this one! Crispy with amazing flavors; definitely go for this one!

Stopped by here to grab coffee for a midday refreshment in the hot summer hea yesterday. The baristas are pretty friendly here and the space layout is very open and pretty. I love love love the lights and the chalk art here, they’re doing something right to fulfill my basic girl needs ;) I got their chai tea, which was decent. It was more on the milky side, with the spices sprinkled on top of the ice cubes as opposed to infusing it throughout the drink. I haven’t eaten here in over a year so I can’t say much about the food, but it looks fresh and well prepared by observation! And YES, a place that accepts credit cards.

Great chocolate macaroon, great espresso, great staff, great décor/atmosphere, great location, great«world» café concept, mediocre Smoked Brisket Sandwich. The many positives are enough for me to be a fan, thus 4 stars instead of 3. However, I’d be curious to try some of their other food as maybe just the brisket sandwich is the disappointment and the rest is great.

I firmly believe in not letting life – or nerves – get in the way of gathering friends for at least breakfast. I met John H last Monday for breakfast, as I was eating my way through p.l.e.n.t.y. of good cafés in Philly. At the second floor of the small, bi-level, rustic café, I enjoyed a very satisfying Egg White Sandwich, with good Manchego cheese, which came with fresh salad. The plate was presented as wonderfully as it tasted. I also had two cups of freshly brewed coffee. John had a muffin and a cup of tea. Take-home message: Go to Plenty Café and you will be happy, Plenty! Four Unilocal

I am sooo happy i found this place. The staff is so nice and the coffee is reasonably priced. THEFOOD? Wow. just wow. it’s so good… i can’t wait to be back and bring all my friends here. I dined-in and just to see all their ‘regulars’ come in and to see how they are with all their customers is really great. When you order to-go someone from the back comes out and specifically calls your name and hands you your baggie. Its that kind of service you just cant beat. I hope you’re here to stay! Thanks again!
