Pizza hub is wonderful. The owner is super nice, as is the staff. The pizza(which is more of a flatbread) is really, really good. It’s really quick, and the price point is unbeatable. A «slice» there is huge, but not heavy. I recommend the daffy, as well as the simple pepperoni pizza. All good though!

Great addition to Fishtown! This is not your average pizza joint. Food is made fresh and tastes amazing, yet it is still reasonably priced. The owner Scott is a very friendly and personable guy who clearly has a passion for what he does. Eat here and you will not be disappointed!

Pizza hub really has done it right, with a very simplistic approach. As others have mentioned, it’s not trying to be something it’s not. The owner is the nicest most humble guy I have met. The pizza in my opinion is superior to the one next door and of course the pizza museum up Frankford that’s trying a bit too hard and not delivering expected quality, considering cost. We went last night and ordered some slices(by the way, massive and for a very reasonable price). They were running a couple specials, both sandwiches. We weren’t in the mood for a sandwich, but they sounded so good. So you know what the owner did? He made a pizza with the specials as topping on our slices. My wife had sliced meatball, I had the short rib on top. Both were friggin spectacular! So much so was the short rib, we suggested him to add it, we’ll see if that happens… After all of this, we chatted with the owner for a bit and then departed. My wife forgot her phone and we realized this 2 blocks later. It was cold, we were about to return to get it, when the owner comes running down to deliver it to her. If that doesn’t show you how nice this guy is, I’m not sure what will. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent slices, go for the BBQ chicken. The parm regianno that he finishes with is delicious.

This is a review on the food, not the owner or how nice he seems. The pizza here is simply not good, especially with the options nearby in walking distance. The pizza is warmed on countertop oven reminiscent of college years. Nothing wrong with that if the pizza tastes great. It didn’t. Like a few others mentioned, Elios pizza from the grocery store will do. Plenty of phenomenal options too close to give more than 1 star.

I custom ordered two gluten free pizzas from Scott, the proprietor, to be delivered. They arrived promptly, delivered by the owner himself, and were cooked to 110% of my rather demanding expectations. I would sincerely recommend Pizza Hub to anyone who has been tricked by the boutique pizzerias that are all sham and no wow for double the shekels. Un-harsh your gig and visit, or give them a call for delivery of über fresh pizza made by an owner that answers his own phone.

Not only am I happy that there is a gluten free pizza shop nearby. But the ingredients are quality and fresh! Fresh! Fresh! Owner is very nice as well. Nice addition to the Girard corridor of Fishtown eateries! Best gluten free pizza I’ve had in Philly yet!

The beauty of Pizza Hub is that it’s not trying to compete with Beddia or Pizza Brain. It’s not attempting to have the best pizza in town, it’s attempting to be the nicest pizza shop in town. They’re open early, they close late, and most importantly they’re always kind to you. The staff continue to say hello to me when I walk by or even when they see me somewhere else in the city. I really enjoyed the pizza, especially the slice of sausage that I got. Much better than places like Central Pizza, Tommie’s or Fishtown Pizza. They’re not always the fastest or the cheapest but they’re definitely a comforting place to hang and grab a slice.

I would write a long review but Abigail L’s review sums it up perfectly. She pretty much said exactly what I thought of this place too. Nice people, sub par pizza and it’s too hot in the summer to have an AC unit that doesn’t work well. It was so stuffy and warm in there last time I was in there I could hardly wait to leave. If your going to compete with the various other amazing places for pizza in Fishtown you’ve really got to step it up… Until then I won’t be returning.

I wanted to like this place and I am a huge supporter of local businesses. Unfortunately Pizza Hub does not deliver quality pizza. There are no ovens and you won’t find anyone throwing the dough in the air as they prep it for sauce and toppings. Another reviewer hit the nail on the head when they said it was like Ellio’s, and in this neighborhood, you best come correct or you will not last. If Pizza Hub reads this, get fresh dough and get an oven. I got a sausage slice and it wasn’t too bad in the taste department regarding the toppings and sauce, so there is something to build off there. I’d like to see them last, so I am hoping they turn it around.

Best pizza in the area by far! Delectable flavors –the daffy is off the chain– and relaxed atmosphere, definitely recommend! x

Went there a few weeks ago in the mid-afternoon to give it a shot. First good thing is that they sell slices. Second, the owner is super-nice and plays great records. Third, for the price, you get some pretty darned good flat bread pizza. And the duck confit slice is simply out of this world good. My pizza grading system is pretty steep, so 4 stars is an awesome rating. A great addition to what is becoming one of the best pizza neighborhoods on the East Coast! Mmm… duck confit…

Look, I hate to write a bad review, but the reason I gave this place a try was because of all the four and five star reviews raving about it. Just no. The pizza is barely a step up from Ellio’s. I’m not kidding. It’s edible, and the place is super cute and the people are nice, and they play records, and good ones, but if you’re opening steps from Beddia, in the neighborhood of Pizza Brain, and Trios, and a million delivery places, well, you better be good. The sauce tastes too sweet, and almost raw like tomato paste before you actually turn it into a sauce, the cheese lacks flavor, and in general just needs salt, or flavor. The crust was fine, and service was fast, but the product is not up to par. Prices are very low, but I’d rather shell out a few extra bucks for something really tasty. One other bothersome thing to me is that they serve Nestle Pure water as their bottled water. I know this is a personal pet peeve of mine, so I’m sorry, but businesses, please, please stop doing this. It makes you look cheap when you’re not at all. Get some other bottled water that isn’t purified crap water, or just offer water for free, maybe with some lemons or cucumbers cut up in to make you look super classy and rad. I can purify my water at home in my Brita. That goes for aquafina and dasani too. I hate them. Sorry for the slightly unrelated rant.

This place is a welcome addition to Fishtown! The pizza is thin crust with high quality fresh ingredients. The 2 slices I had were very fresh and tasty! I got a salad to accompany and that was also very good and fresh. The owner is a very friendly younger guy.

Central Pizza has been my go-to place for a while since it’s literally across the street from my boyfriend’s place, but I’m quite happy with this new addition to the neighborhood for those times when we’re craving pizza and feeling a little fancy. Pizza Hub serves your standard plain, margherita and pepperoni pizzas, but I think they truly shine with their specialty options. It’s been about 2 weeks, and my boyfriend is still talking about his duck confit pizza slice. We also tried the sausage and buffalo chicken — both delicious, even after heating and consuming it the day after. On a side note, I’m not a crust eater, and am happy to report that Pizza Hub has minimal extra crust for me to waste. The space is small, so I wouldn’t plan to dine in with a group larger than 5 or 6, but the space is cozy and the service is friendly, so I would eat in if you can!

I’m spoiled when it comes to pizza. I grew up with two amazing pizza places in my hometown whose owners were from Naples and made classic style pies. I miss them so! I also miss all of their glutinous glory since I no longer eat wheat. This puts me in a bit of a pickle when it comes to finding gluten free pizza that’s not horrific. Found! I tried the Hub’s gluten free personal pizza tonight on a whim brought on by the munchies. The owner and the employee working the shop were both very personable and helpful. My pie was ready in minutes and was insanely cheap for a specialty pie and a specialty crust. The GF crust was nice and crispy. Not at all soggy or grainy like so many other GF crusts I’ve tried. The toppings were fresh and the sauce was tasty without over powering the pie. I topped off my pie with thier St. Lucifer spice for a bit more seasoning and the result was awesome. I can’t speak of the regular pies at the shop but the fact that they serve a tasty GF option and are right down the street from me means I’ll probably be visiting these guys again soon.
