On & Sons Seafood

I’m giving it a 1 star, not necessary because of the food but because of the customer service. I went in and ordered right away (I came for fried shrimp) with the young lady at the front, paid, and was told to wait 10 minutes. Though the store is quite large, there was one little seating/​waiting area with someone already sitting there. So I was standing near the side, just looking at the menu on top, browsing at the glass counter to see what else they offered. Suddenly some older Korean lady comes out from the back and asks if I’m Korean (I am) and where I came from? I wanted to say I came from home? But I said I saw it on Unilocal.She just kept staring and left. So I’m still waiting for my order then suddenly she’s comes out again and yells in Korean, «if you’re going to order, then order! I don’t like that you are looking at my store!» I was speechless and for a second, very lost for words. So I said «uh I ordered already, I’m just waiting for it.» Her face turned from annoyance to busted. I can’t believe that lady thought I was just standing there looking at her store! Why the heck will I be standing in there without ordering?! I don’t care if their food is fresh or whatnot! If you’re going to be rude for no reason, then you don’t deserve business! She was so busted she hid in the back room till I was gone. Plus, their fries were old and the fried shrimp was lacking flavor.

So, I frequently this place alot. I normally always get the fried fish, scallops, shrimp & clam strips. And has always been good with out fell. I tried for the first time one of their steam platters, the snow crabs, shrimp & vegetables. Everything was seasoned perfect & good except THEY DONT CLEAN THE STEAMED SHRIMP. After eating one on my second i noticed it wasn’t cut or cleaned, so checked them all & sure enough none were cleaned. So, I’ll never be ordering that again.

Been going here weekly for almost a year now. My go-​to spot for some fresh seafood. I normally get flounder and shrimp for lunch. It’s plenty of food. And it’s around $ 10! You won’t get that much food for $ 10 at Burger King down the street. BK gives you who knows what kind of meat they use. While this seafood spot uses real everything. Easy choice for me. Best seafood spot in the area. Hard to find businesses nowadays that genuinely fulfill the quality and service this business portrays.

I had a taste for fried seafood. My first time there. I wanted to order on the phone but no menu on line .okay so had to there place my order and wait for it. It wasn’t that long of a wait. I got home with fried scallops, fried flounder, shrimps and a humongous crab cake. Well the platter was fried to perfection. It wasn’t dried out over cooked. And the price was right$$. No menus to take home. Please post an menu on line move into the 21^th century. Keep up the good work instead of 5 stars you get 5

Went here for the first time today. They are a bit pricey but the guy behind the counter was very knowledgeable and friendly so I ended up buying a few items. I’ve been looking for Dungeoness crab’s and had a hard time finding them. They were $ 19.99 a pound so I got a pound of the Dungeoness crabs, six large fried shrimp and a fried fish sandwich. The fried shrimp and the fish sandwich were $ 4.99 each. I ate the shrimp right away in the car you get to put your own toppings on it like cocktail sauce, tartar sauce, hot sauce etc. today they did not have any fresh fish but on any other day other than Wednesdays they sell fresh fish too. I will definitely go back again because it was very convenient and they have plenty of fish in stock. I definitely recommend that folks try it here.

I LOVE all types of seafood, so I’ve tried a lot and loved, liked, and hated many. I have to say I really loved this place.
They have a lot of lovely platters. I’m drooling just thinking about them. I love the veggie platter to, obviously to go with the seafood. YUM!!!
The service was great. The guy was very friendly and quick.
I bought a platter with crab legs shrimp and veggies. (It’s been too long since I went back can’t remember.) I almost ripped it apart in the car and started eating it. It was great!
The store is also VERY CLEAN. I feel like it’s almost impossible to get the fishy smell out if any seafood place, but this place you could tell they keep the place very clean.
This is definitely a go to spot for FRESH seafood. This place is takeout so don’t walk in thinking it’s a sit down eatery.

My «go to» spot for seafood in the neighborhood. Fried or otherwise, it’s always enjoyable.

Absolutely fabs, beginning with the service. I called to be sure of the hours of operation. The woman was extremely polite and welcomed me to make an order over the phone. I get there and not only is the place clean but I am again welcomed with smiles and pleasantness. The prices were low and the food looked amazing. I ordered Dungeness crabs with shrimp and mussel platter, a fried fish platter with two types of fish with shrimp and fries and finally a wing platter for my son.
The food was amazing, the only reason I didn’t give five stars is due to the fact that we had to season the food. It was sort of bland but nothing a little crushed red pepper and old bay couldn’t fix.
Going back? Yuppers

I ordered here because I’ve been a part of this neighborhood all of my life, and wanted to check the new place out. I had the 12 fried shrimp platter with fries and marinara sauce. The fries were average and the sauce was good. But let me tell you about the shrimp. The breading was good, but when I opened one up, I couldn’t stop laughing. The shrimp is super small and hidden with layer upon layer of bread crumbs. But that wasn’t the worst. Each «shrimp» was made up of two tiny shrimp held together at the head! It was so ridiculous I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. Needless to say, never again will I buy from On & Sons.

I gave four out of five only because I haven’t had everything they have to offer but the fried shrimp however are insanely delicious and all the other fried foods as well I haven’t had any of their steamed foods yet but I’m sure they’ll be just as delicious as the fried foods. Cheap eats good service and great portions. I do recommend this place.

Service was waaaaaay better this time. Then again, I was the only one in there.lol. The Son of On&son is hilarious. Always greets you with a great attitude. But the food is still just okay. Got the flounder and shrimp platter. The fries were hard but the fish was fresh. The shrimp were just a lil greasy…

Greeted with good customer service. Steam platters are fresh and butter sauce season is the best. I don’t want no more plain crabs. The platters are a nice size, serve with potatoes, broccoli, sweet bell peppers, and sometimes corn. If you are looking for some good seafood take out and you don’t want to cook. This is the place to come. If You like a cold beer then its a place nearby. What’s seafood without beer?
