New China

Delivery took an hour but everything was hot.
Nothing fancy, average Chinese food. Crab Rangoon and Egg roll were good, almost like sweet pastry wraps.

Ordered from here for the past 5 years almost three times a week. Last nite they delivered me food that looked like it was scraped off the ground after the floor was freshly mopped. When calling to get another order, they told me no and said I got what I ordered. They refused to refund me my money along with what paid for delivery. Had to go out of my way to show up to the store and cause a scene just to get my money back. They officially lost what was once, a loyal customer. Hopefully I can upload a picture of the batch of trash they tried to give me

I’ve ordered delivery from here before. For such a low expectation cuisine, I was actually really happy — hot flavorful food that was clearly cooked in house.
Easiest examples would be the gizzards and the popcorn chicken — that breading is not something you can find by the bag in the frozen aisles. Plus I like the nice chunks of dark meat — very succulent bites. And for the gizzards — definitely not overcooked compared to other joints and actually enjoyable to snack on.
Bourbon chicken was a good run of the mill plate — which is what I wanted. A little on the sweet side, but the nice addition of the salt from the soy seasoned pork fried rice helped balance it out. The house fried rice isn’t significantly different in flavor, but you do get a nice bite of shrimp every now in then.
Our order came out to $ 25, so we got the free iced tea. Light and sweet, definitely goes down as a good casual drink. And on the customer serevice side, the order came 10 minutes earlier than anticipated.
Am I expecting Michelin quality food? Hell no. But everything I got was great and hot and I would be very satisfied ordering from here again.

These people are rude and nasty to customers. I went here today and explained what kind of sauce I wanted and got home and saw it was not what I ordered. I called and asked for the Manager and was not allowed to speak to him or her. I also explained it was my birthday and i wanted to enjoy my meal and the the man said what do you want me to do. They are the most inconsiderate and insensitive place you could order from. I am a regular customer and will never order here again. I would advise that if you live in the area order from Lou’s chinese restaurant up the street the young lady here is very nice and the food is fantastic never again will I spend my money here…

I order from here frequently from grub hub. Deliver is usually less than the estimated time and very quick. But I also live like 10 mins away. Great lunch specials. I usually order the sweet and sour chicken with brown rice and egg drop soup and 4 pc chicken wings with French fries. All under $ 15 for lunch. Usually lasts me 2 days. Not bad for a lazy weekend where I just don’t want to leave the house or cook.

We have ordered several times from this restaurant and was always pleased with our food. It always arrived quickly an piping hot. However, today when we ordered our driver refused to deliver our food because we are located inside a business. He called and told us to come out to collect our food. Needless to say, he gave quite an attitude and when he rudely asked why I had an attitude, I stated that the whole point of ordering food is to have it delivered, he argued and his voice rose saying if his car got towed, who was gonna pay for it. Okay. Never ordering from there again.

It was good but the shrimp toast came out burnt and it had msd so my throat had a bad tingling and I puked would not go there again

FreshEgg roll was great. General Tso’s shrimp was good. «Very hot» was mild. Slightly too heavy on the breading for my taste. Healthy steamed options were A+
Free homemade tea was nice compliment to the meal.

Quick delivery and yummy food

Decided to check this place out for a late night meal for me and my guy. Despite me working right around the corner, I didn’t realize how sketchy the area turned after dark. I got mildly harassed by some lingering man outside of the pizza place next door. («Hey pretty lady, you married?») With me being more or less street smart, it didn’t really phase me but to the more unfamiliar crowd of the philly scene, this could be daunting.
Walked in… A kind and sweet woman took my order. I got myself the sesame chicken combo and I got my boyfriend a general tso’s combo. Both come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The general tso’s was on point… but my dish tasted like it was mixed with the same sauce of the general tso’s, which bummed me out. Despite this setback, it was pretty damn good. Fried rice was excellent with big chunks of pork and the egg roll was amazing. I even got a free pint of homemade iced tea, which was yummy!
Overall, good meal for around $ 20. Typical cheap chinese with no huge problems. Maybe I’ll try something different next time that’s not a fried chicken dish, so I can avoid similarities in flavor.

Fast delivery and pretty good food. Had a few issues with them a while back but for the last 10 orders, everything has been great. Orders will arrive FASTER than the estimated delivery time! Their lunch specials which are around $ 5.35+ come with choices of egg rolls, can soda, or soup which is great. Hunan beef or shrimp is my favorite, followed by the bourbon chicken!

ive primarily used this restaurant as a backup when my fav one is closed. i dont have any complaints about them at all. they have fast and friendly service and decent hours. although i havent tried alot of things on the menu, i can say that the shrimp and snow peas and szechuan chicken are on point. i am comfortable recommending this restaurant to anyone who wants fast takeout at a reasonable price.

Now that our office is no longer in Chinatown, we all have to start from scratch and venture out for good food near the new office… or stick to bringing our own lunches.
Tried delivery from New China and ordered the Lunch Special, $ 5.15, with Chicken Egg Foo Young, white rice, and hot and sour soup. Pretty good deal, right? But since they have an order delivery minimum, I had to throw in some Steamed Dumplings (6), $ 4.
Delivery took over 40 minutes… Had I known it would have taken so long, I would have just gone for pick up instead. I called after waiting 30 minutes and the lady said there were other deliveries, so it would be another 10 minutes. Fine.
When the delivery came, the total came out to be around $ 1 more than what was online. I thought it might be the delivery charge, but I clearly remember a delivery charge added online already.
Food was decent. Nothing spectacular. I like the rice they use (better than other Chinese take-​out rices), but egg foo young was oily as expected. Hot and sour soup was actually okay, but there was an excess amount of chili oil that they put in it. Steamed dumplings were good and didn’t fall apart.
Coworkers ordered delivery from here the day after I did and didn’t like the General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, or wonton soup. They also complained about delivery taking a bit long.
Not sure if I will order again from here, but I won’t do delivery, that’s for sure. Might try one of their other lunch specials again one day when I’m familiar with everything around here… since it’s such a steal.

Slightly above your average Chinese-​American restaurant… I’d recommend this one first before any other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in the area (especially China House).
The delivery man I met was super polite, called me as he was arriving and was ready for everything when I showed up.

Love New China! The best neighborhood Chinese take out around! You won’t regret it!

Wish we had take-​out like this in Toledo.
First of all this place was actually open on the holiday, score 1.
We tried a sampling Singapore Mei Fun, Schezuan Beef, cheesesteak rolls and General Zsos came free with the meal? Crazy.
Mei Fun was deliciously flavored, fresh ginger? They could just call it noodles with everything. The beef was tender and full of vegetables so good. The General Zso was the star of the show! Fresh, full of flavor with a uniquely delicious sauce.
Definitely would order again!

I have to say this place does have some good food. When we ordered food from here I got the egg roll, beef lo mein, general tao, fried wontons, and beef on a stick. The only thing I did not like was the fried wontons. It was more like mush and the beef on a stick was over cooked. Other then that it was pretty good. I would have no problem recommending this place to another person.
Also, best part is that you can order from Grubhub for this place and when I ordered once from Grubhub the delivery was fast.

New management was what this place needed. I haven’t found a dish I haven’t enjoyed.
