Mimmo’s Pizza

I just ordered a chicken cheesesteak, whatever kind of chicken they use smells and tastes disgusting. One bite and it had to be thrown away.

Mimmo’s is your typical Philly corner pizza/​steak place, offering quick service (mostly take out), short waits, and low prices. There are 2 – 3 high top tables to sit in and eat, but thats about it.
I own warehouse space on 29^th and Allegheny and end up getting take out here at least once a week. Mimmo’s makes a decent slice of pie, and its usually ready really quick. When you order by the slice, and get toppings, they add the toppings, and some more cheese to one of their already prepared plain slices and throw it back in the oven. The crust is nice and chewy, and though not artisan pizza, its better than most corner takeout pizzas.
I love the crowd here, most people are very friendly, and have great stories from the neighborhood.
I also get cheesesteaks here pretty often. The regular ones are really good, but I’ve been disappointed by their buffalo chicken cheesesteaks. The sauce is too bbq-​ey and not enough buffalo-​ey.
I also recently tried a chicken parm sub from here, and it was pretty disappointing. The sauce tasted like salsa, and the chicken was basically nuggets.
All in all Mimmo’s is typical greasy spoon food, cheap and quick. To be safe stick with the simple stuff.
TIP: The parking lot gets really crazy, so you may be better parking on the street.

Just moved to 32 and Allegheny ordered a couple of times and I’m hooked they got the best pizza sauce is original and thick crust it was just perfect …

We’re new to the area and decided to order out after a long day of unpacking. First off, the person answering the phone, doesn’t need to be. She kept saying, «Anything else? Anything else?» while I was still mid sentence in my ordering! Like duhhhh! I WOULD LIKE TO ADD SOMETHING ELSE, BUT U KEEP INTERRUPTING ME TO ASK THAT! Plus she had a nasty attitude like she was fed up of life or something.
The food itself wasn’t anything extraordinary. Not that I was expecting to be knocked off my feet, but for the prices I figured it could’ve been better. Flavor especially was lacking on my «teriyaki chicken cheesesteak.» A little too much salt for my liking and it didn’t even come with basic lettuce and tomato! Like really. It was just bread and chicken!!! My husband said his «California burger» was just mehhh. Also lacking in flavor. Surprisingly the fries were the only things that stood out. They were crispy and well seasoned.
Idk if we just ordered on a bad night or this is the norm. But we’re willing to give them another shot and just see where it goes.

The food was okay, and my cheese steak was cold. I honestly did not like the hour plus wait to receive my order, considering, that I live 7 minutes away by vehicle.

One star is seriously gracious. It’s a snow day and I’m just trying to get some good Italian pizza and buffalo wings. That isn’t complicated. Let’s talk about how my order tasted worse than what you can get at a chuckie cheese. Do NOT order here. Instead get some coins, play some games with the mouse and eat there. This isn’t worth it.

Pros — Great prices for lots of pretty good food. Food arrived hot and they got my order correctly. I actually really enjoyed their pizza and the delivery guy was polite and friendly.
Cons — Food was a bit late in arriving. Not by much, but the place is only half a mile from my house so it was a little surprising. Not a big deal though.
Overall a very pleasant experience and I will order from here again. The food isn’t fancy and extravagant, but neither are the prices.

If you go with my uncle, everything is free:))) This is late night option only but a damn good one as long as you’ve had a few and can’t really taste the misakes :/
