Truly one of the best playgrounds in philadelphia. it is endlessly big and my son never gets bored. There are always kids there of all ages. There is a huge sand pit tho so my son always comes home dirty. There is also a basketball court and room for kids to run. There is a smaller area for young kids and a bigger area for older kids. For easier parking, park around back of the school and not on Germantown Ave. When my son was younger(he’s now 3.5 years old) i found this playground a little too big for him and there wasn’t as much for him to do beyond the sand pit and swings. I recommend it more for 3yo and up personally.

Jenk’s playground is attached to the John Story Jenks public elementary school in the heart of Chestnut Hill. The playground is open to everyone in the afternoon. It is a fairly large, mostly wooden playground. The thing I like about it is that there are usually lots of local kids there with their parents, so your kids will usually have someone to play with, and there are lots of parents present to head off any trouble. You might think that it would be hard to park in this popular area of town, but it usually isn’t too much of a problem.
