I came in looking for help selecting a gift and was blown away by all of the help I received! Good customer service is a rare thing in this city and I was very impressed by Alex at GameStop.

16 is my lucky number. I’ve decided to review a spot special to my heart for said reason. Now moving on to things people care about. This place is so much win for a gamestop(especially in this area). Why? It’s in a pretty nice location. The staff is generally helpful and seem to know a bit about the games they are selling(not just people sitting on the counters playing Madden and taking a half an hour to get to what you need of them). I like this place because there is a pretty good collection of the older games(that are still being sold mind you. I found Marvel vs. Capcom 2 here for the PS2 a few months back), as well as, of course, having all of the new games readily stocked. I generally feel really cloistered, or rushed, or just plain uncomfortable in most Gamestop locations. This place is pretty chill and has a nice pace to it, if that’s a good way to put it. I have been coming here since I was pretty young(it may have been a Funcoland or something of the sort back in the day… ah nostalgia) and always make this the first place I call/go to and generally they have what I need in stock. Even during the«Wii crisis» they had things somewhat under control, and generally, the service here is just what it should be in a store like this. They may talk to you in nerdtongues(which i like) but not to a laborious degree. They seem to have a good feel of what games to recommend to people as well, and won’t just say«Hey, Halo is coming out next month» If I am buying a game for my DS… oh no, they will in fact stop and think about the coolest upcoming title for the DS that has some relevance to the title I have just purchased for said system(i.e. they know how to make you want to spend your money.) 5 stars all the way!(The fifth star is earned by the pleasant smell that a lot of these kinds of stores generally don’t generate.)
