Eric and Mary were really great. They were able to come by sooner than I expected and did a fantastic job on removing the bamboo from the backyard and cutting down a dead tree in our front yard. I would recommend them to anyone.

I reached out to Flat Rate Labor through Unilocal for landscaping help and sent a message. I just moved into the first floor of a rowhome with a «Philly backyard» that had been untouched for quite sometime. Overgrown vines from the neighbors, weeds coming out of the brickwork, left over potting plants from previous tenants. I couldn’t even see the side wall. Eric messaged me back within the day saying they’d absolutely do the job, but timing was difficult due to the all the rain. I said I was flexible. He had asked for pictures of the backyard which I sent. He called me and said that there was an opening immediately because someone had cancelled. I jumped at the appointment and couldn’t have been happier. Eric arrived early to our scheduled time and finished the job within the quoted time frame for the quoted price. I don’t even recognize the backyard, its a fantastic job. I would recommend Eric and Flat Rate Labor to everyone. I had already sent pictures to friends who live in the city and each expression was, «wow!». I would absolutely use Flat Rate Labor again.

Erik is a standout guy. He helped me move a moving pods worth of furniture and boxes into my apartment. He was very courteous, hard working and helpful. He was also very careful not to damage any items. Totally professional and certainly worth giving a call. I would highly recommend him for any of your labor needs!

I ordered some book shelves from a thrift shop that did not have delivery service. None of the movers want to take my business. Eric at Flat Rate Labor returned my call in 5 minutes and in a few hours, had the bookshelves delivered to my place. For someone to very quickly come and do business when other movers wouldn’t return my calls speaks volumes of Flat Rate Labor. Not to mention, Flat Rate Labor is very inexpensive. I did check some of the other sites and found Flat Rate beat their prices.
Flat Rate Labor is an one man show. Eric runs everything, but he is excellent at setting up appointments, taking phone calls and coming down. And since most of us aren’t experts at moving, he comes with truck, items and stuff to make moving a breeze. Will use him again when I need to move.

I was rehabbing my kitchen and used these guys to take out the old appliances in my home and they were top notch — they worked hard, were respectful of my home (didn’t ding up the walls, etc. and used blankets over doors to protect them), and did exactly what they were asked to do. They finished the project early and even asked if I needed anything else done! I was impressed that they just came from another job where they got dirty and changed their shirts to not get dirt in the house.

They never showed up, never called to say why. Did not return 2 polite voice-​mails left the day they were supposed to work. Also, did not return calls the following week. This was after a 72 hour notice re-​schedule as well.
I took off work, waited around all morning/​afternoon, wasting the day.
Finally got a hold of them 2 weeks later when I called, they claimed to have sent out a mass email, but there was no email, not even in spam. And wouldn’t you call a client who set everything up over the phone with
? Cited an unfortunate accident with one of their vehicles, which is unfortunate and I hope they continue business, but a heads up would have been nice, assuming the story is even true. especially given what I need moved will be much more difficult with winter getting colder/​snowier.
Other than that, the guy on the phone seemed nice, was looking forward to working with them, but that won’t happen now, did not offer any kind of discount for the inconvenience.

I recently asked this company to help me move a large piece of furniture that I purchased through Craigslist. They arrived exactly on time, moved it out efficiently, and were very personable. For about the same price as uhaul (including mileage), you don’t have to deal with uhaul’s poor customer service & you get a guy who will help carry… and drive :) I would definitely recommend them.

What happened to all the other reviews? You can’t tell me they were ALL fake!
Well rest assured this is not a fake. I used them and, like all the other reviews that are now gone, I thought they were great.
Everyone hates moving, especially your friends and family that get roped into helping you! For $ 40/​hr. I got two hard working guys that didn’t stop till the job was done. So save your back and the backs of your friends and family and give Flat Rate a call.

My brother hired Flat Rate to help me unload a big moving truck. They were really good. We got their card and I called Eric to have him help me build some Ikea customized closets. He was great – Very professional, friendly, on time, and the right price! I will use Flat Rate again and again if I need help moving big things or building something that takes more expertise than I have.
