I’ve been here a few times for snacks and last minute school supplies. The store is a lot smaller than the bookstore on main campus but it’s still a good store. There’s better seating areas in my opinion here than on main campus and it’s a lot more private and quiet at this bookstore. Great for studying because no one is really there! The books here are designated to the CNHP students. As for the snacks, they have somewhat of a selection.

If I’m craving a snack or want to grab a greeting card and feel too lazy to head outside to a food truck I’ll reluctantly head to the bookstore, only because I work in the building and it’s convenient. There are plenty of snacks and a small selection of drinks. I say«relunctantly» head to the bookstore because the staff is not as friendly as they could be — it’s usually not very busy but I always feel like I’m a MAJOR inconvenience to the cashier. I hate being treated this way, as I am nothing but friendly when I shop. I threw in a star because the sale selection is usually pretty good. Also, I feel it’s silly for students to complain about the cost of books — textbooks have always been and always will be expensive, there’s no way around that. If you feel there’s a book you’re going to use only for the term and never again, try renting your book, there are plenty of websites out there specifically for renting textbooks.

For what it is, this place is OK. I use it mostly to grab a quick beverage and snack before class. They have a small selection of sodas, teas, snacks, and Drexel merchandise. They also have a seating area that I’ve never really seen anyone in. A quick convenient place but nowhere I’d go out of my way to visit. :)

So the main thing that bothers me with Center City campus bookstore is that, despite the fact that a huge chunk of the Clinical Psychology program resides in Bellet, they don’t carry any of our text books. I have to haul ass up to Main Campus and brave the hordes of undergrads, of all the indignities. They do however, carry school supplies, Drexel paraphernalia, some best-seller books, texts, and quite the array of snacks for a decent price, including but not limited to poptarts, thai kitchen noodle bowls, pumpkin seeds, bugles and flipz. And of course, soda and chips and stuff. And, though it may be 9am, one of the sales associates will, without a doubt, wish you a good night. Friendly, if preemptive.
